Hotel Kenny Seogwipo

We were surprised at how clean and modern this hotel was! Our room had a big window with a nice view, and there was a chair and little table. There is a basement with modern washing machines you can use for a small fee. In the lobby there are tables that you can use to eat or work or... There is also a computer that guests can use and you can print documents for a small fee. Staff was friendly and helpful. We received clean towels and little water bottles every day, even when the 'do not disturb' sign was on our door. (They would hang a bag with fresh towels and water on the door.) The location is also very nice: near the market and other restaurants and near busstops. If I'm ever in Soegwipo again, I would stay here again.

The rooms are a bit small and don't have much space to leave your stuff (e.g. no wardrobe or shelves), but this definitely doesn't outweigh the positives!!!

The price/performance ratio for this hotel was excellent. It was really clean and the location was super convenient. It is central and right next to a bus stop for local buses and just a short walk to other buses (i.e. the ones that go to the airport, and for hiking the Hallasan mountain, Seongsan Ilchubong, Yakcheonsa temple etc.), the Olle market is just around the corner and literally thousands of cafes, eating places etc. are also located nearby/next to it. Great place to stay if you want to explore more of the island, but also want to be in the town with all it's proximity. I also had a great communication with the reception staff and had a lot of good tips about what to do and see from her! :) The rooms are small, but not as small as i had expected from the other reviews. At least when it comes to the single room, the bathroom was decently sized and I had enough room for my luggage in the main room. It was also cleaned daily and water bottles were replaced regularly. The bathroom is Korean type i.e. the shower part is not divided fom the rest of the bathroom, but that is not an actual issue. The most hotels/guest houses have it like that and you just have to remeber that the floor will be wet after taking shower (for this there are bath slippers).

Not really a problem, but I was there at the end of November and the room was so well heated that at some points it almost felt too warm. But I guess some might even see this as an advantage. It did not bother me too much, so I did not ask to lower the heat, but probably it might have been possible. Anyways this is just a tiny thing and overall the hotel was great!

The hotel is near to Seogwipo Olle Market, I had dinner there almost every night! Also, it’s close to the bus and some tourist spots. It’s also near Starbucks and there’s really a lot of good restaurants near the hotel. The staff is also helpful! I don’t have a socket for my phone and bought a wrong one. The staff was kind enough to let me use a charger but of course for a fee (but don’t worry, it’s refundable! Also, I love how there’s a washing machine! I stayed there for 5 nights and glad I was able to wash all my clothes before leaving. It’s 4,000 won per wash and per dry. 😊 If you’re on a budget, I gladly recommend that you stay here in this place. 😎 Lastly, you can store your luggage after check out so you can check out more places before your flight back home. :)

Everything was modern and clean, great cosy corner room in this hotel for a solo traveller, with great views of the mountains and city! Safe and easy check in with two entrances/exits for opposite sides of the city. Great location and a very short walk from the Olle traditional market which, by the way, has some of the BEST food I tried on my whole two week trip to South Korea. The breakfast served a nice variety of food in the morning also :)

Those planning to visit Jeju and stay here or in Seogwipo - be aware of the transport travel times if wanting to have a tourist day in Jeju City or anywhere up North. Without a car it can feel like a lot of time is being taken.

Clean and modern. There were always friendly staff ready at the front desk. The location was in the next street from the market so local shopping and restaurants etc were very close. It's a bit further from the port than some other hotels, but the taxi from the port carpark only cost 4000₩. It's only a short distance to the 182 bus stop which takes the shortest route to the airport. Be aware that it's a budget hotel so the room size is modest. However, the bathroom size was adequate. Showering was not cramped. There was a good supply of all bathroom consumables. The TV size was adequate. The wifi worked well.

The room was small which limited the space for installed amenities. Hooks on the wall and clothes hangers were available but there was no wardrobe. Single rooms had no table or chair. The fridge seemed particularly small.

- Laundry facilities were out of use when I was there, although they looked like pretty good, modern machines, so would imagine they’re very good when they’re available for use - Quite a lot of mosquitos. Tried my best to spray them, but still seemed to get bitten a few times in the night

Everything? The location, it's very strategic. Very near from Seogwipo Maeil Olle Market. Easy access to almost every bus route outbound from Seogwipo to all popular destination. You can just go left to Jung-ang Rotary or go right to Dongmun Rotary. Or if the bus route departure available from Youth Culture or Maeil Olle Entrance exit 7, it's a very close walking distance. The price itself is very very worth the value. It is a proper hotel with elevator, 7-11 inside, paid washing machine and dryer, fridge inside the room, cable TV, windows, and many more.

None? If I want to nitpicking, maybe the non existence of foot mat in front of the bathroom? It will be great if they provide it though.

location was great, close proximity to various bus stops around seogwipo, as well as the olle market. staff were also extremely kind and helpful in assissting with my various queries. daily housekeeping is available if requested as well. room rates were also extremely affordable. although many reviews mention that the rooms are small, as a solo traveller i actually found it perfect. there was plenty of space for me to open my luggage and move around. towels and soap are provided, but do note that toothbrush and toothpaste is not (can be purchased at front desk for small fee).

unfortunately there was no chair in the room so i ended up sitting on the floor or on my bed to eat! not really a big issue as there is a lounge on the first floor where you can also consume your food :)

The hotel is in a pretty good location in Seogwipo, very close to the Olle market. It's easy to drive to major sights nearby. The room had everything we needed, it was basic but clean. We had a great view over the mountains and the sea. You can do laundry in the basement for 3k won per load. The staff really did their best to help us out, even though our Korean is not the best! One young lad in particular tried his best to help us buy League of Legend tickets, he was very kind and helpful. The breakfast is very good for the standard of hotel, we really enjoyed it.

Our 10th floor room was incredibly hot and it was basically impossible to get the temperature down. We had the window open all day and night, the Aircon set to 17 degrees Celsius, and it was still 28 degrees Celsius overnight. The toilet appears to be coming away from the wall so that plumbing issue probably needs looking into.
