Grabel Hotel

Staying at Grabel was a really positive experience (especially after two subpar accommodations before it). The room was spacious and clean with nice linens and all the required amenities. The hotel is not far from the airport yet close enough to public beaches and transit (one bus station is right outside the doors and the other is 3min away). Going to Jeju-city and other parts of the island was very convenient. But a special mention goes to the breakfast menu. First of all it changes three days in a row so you're not sick of it at the end of the week, but what's even more important, both the selection and the quality of produce is superb! I couldn't stop gorging fresh pineapples every morning. And it's available from 7am to 10am which is quite rare in South Korea for some reason (usually it's just 7 to 9am). The order-in service was also fine albeit considerably overpriced (even still water was 1000KRW per 0.5L).

Not much. If I really wanted to complain I'd mention that the staff's English skills were not that great. There was also no laundry service whatsoever. Not even a self-service one. That was a letdown. There were just a couple of TV channels that aired movies in English, no international info&news channels (at least no English ones).

Running map guide for 5k and 10km approx running routes taking in local sights. Took advantage of this on the Sunday of our stay. Fantastic idea by the hotel! Excellent location and staff super friendly and very helpful. Open and very warm swimming pool with great views of sunset. Easy and regular bus transportation outside. Parking available for your car if you drive.

Breakfast buffet a little expensive but quality of food on offer was wide in variety and very good in quality. Bring your own towel if you wish to swim otherwise a 3,000won additional charge.

The hotel was very nice and I had a sea view. The room is big and had 3 beds and still there was some space. The bathroom was big and comfy. The swimming pool on roof top was nice with water at good temperature. The hotel had an underground parking lot which we did not use as there was a parking spot next to hotel which was reserved for hotel guests. The breakfast was very good with lot of options. Bust stop to city was just outside the hotel and it had 2 convenience stores on each side.

Nothing specific. I was traveling with a young kid so nothing for him to do other than swimming pool.

Big variant of food to pick from for breakfast, so even if you are European you don't have to worry, lot to choose from. Employees at the reception are very helpful and kind and they do speak English. Room has very comfy bed.

You might not feel comfortable around the employees as they have very concern stair, when you try to speak to them in Korean they don't understand you and if you speak in English they don't understand either as they don't speak English. Later I've learned that this is cultural difference that there is automatic block and they don't expect foreigner to speak Korean. But very little number of people speak English. Also if you are European and you will want to use the pool don't be shocked that people there are covered from head to toe, it's OK to use our typical swimming suit/ bikinis but you won't feel comfy.

The kids room had toys and a kid-sized bed, and various useful things like a potty seat and step-stool for the kids to reach the sink, which was useful. I wish it had a bathtub, even a baby-sized one. It was not fun trying to get my one-year-old clean in a tiny, enclosed glass shower. Breakfast buffet had plenty of adult and kid-friendly food and opened at 7 am. Everything was clean and the workers were helpful. Room service was limited but available, which came in useful when the kids were too tired to go out.

There were plenty of restaurants to walk to nearby, but it isn't really a good area for exploring on foot. We had a car and the basement parking lot was tiny, but we were lucky and able to get a spot every day. Other people had to park outside in the rain. It was still an alright location for seeing the sights around the north of the island, so no real complaints there.

Very convenient: Several bus stops in walking distance to hotel, same as some convenience stores, a supermarket, a variety of restaurants and coffee shops. Also dining and nice cafes at the beach side. Roof top pool and igloos (although chargeable) are nice, too. Friendly and attentive staff, in particular the very nice housekeeping. Free parking available. Nice sea view (but notable traffic noise fro main road in front of hotel).

Although hotel is a bit aged, in genera, rooms are kept clean and tidy. Staff's einglish skills quite limited (but manageable). Other guests in neighboring rooms slamming doors and having lengthy and noisy conversations in the middle of the night.

Great hotel for the price. Really great location just outside of Jeju city. Only about 10 mins from the airport. Far enough away to not hear the airplanes but close enough to be under a $10 USD taxi. There is a few excellent BBQ and coffee shops within walking distance.

We stayed on the 10th floor and the 11th floor rooftop has a pool with music. We could hear thumping noises and music in our room. They do end promptly at 10 PM but if you're a early sleeper it can be a bit loud later at night.

The reception staff where more than helpful. Some could learn English though, especially restaurant staff because sometimes it felt like am being ignored. But l got to learn some korean words too which made it a great experience. The staff also helped me book taxis. Vast meal options in the site restaurant. 5minutes walk to other restaurants and bakeries. Rooms were clean. Enjoyed the rain shower. The pool was heated -very nice and cozy. Just what l needed to relax after a long day of hiking and tours. Also not very deep so it felt safe. There are also private transparent dorm shaped tents around the pool that can be hired and have a heater inside- very romantic. Definitely good value for money

The menu is great so at breakfast it can get really full in there and you wait a while to get in therestaurant. So getting up early morning like 0645 is better especially if you have plans such as tours otherwise if no plans probably the best thing is to come after 0830am. Maybe a suggestion, to also have a section in the restaurant with tables for 2 as most tables where set up table for 4. That meant people wait to get in whilst a solo traveller is having a meal on a table for 4.

Very comfortable and perfect for kids and families. Our kids had tons of fun in the room. The pool was cool as well but it rained most days so didn’t use it but once.

They advertised electric chargers but during our stay none of them worked well or at all so they were unreliable. They are also not connected with the company managing them so if they dont work for some reason there is nothing the hotel staff can do.

Small but lovely. Grabel has everything I need. The breakfast is great with charge and the view from the pool is excellent. it’s located in outside of the busy city area but there are Starbucks and convenient stores, and some restaurants right next to it so you don’t have to worry about food. The room is not big but clean, they also clean it and refill supplies for you everyday. Staffs are nice and helpful.

The USB outlets are great but it only charges when one of the light is on.
