Country Lane Lodge

Set in a beautiful, quiet and secure location of White River, with convenient parking. The room was outstanding with a very comfortable king bed and plenty of cupboard space. The bathroom with shower was superb and just what was required.The whole setup just worked so well for me as a solo traveller. The breakfast was more than adequate and the management team were great. Can thoroughly recomend Country Lane Lodge.

The staff was incredibly friendly and the bed was very generous. I loved that they have their own chickens for egg production, own rabbits, birds and little farm for macadamia, lemons etc. very cute an ecological lodge! Worth every Rand!

Only the bumpy road on the way to the property but that is nothing the property can do about it. It’s a great accommodation!

The grounds are stunning! The rooms are spacious, the pool area is relaxing, the dining area is also charming. The bed was comfortable and there is a/c in the room. They provide in room coffee and tea as well, and allow you to bring your own food and drinks if you want. There is a mini fridge.

Only minor thing if note, for our room there was no outlet in the bathroom or near a mirror.

I hadn’t realised that the property is located on a gorgeous Macadamia farm and it’s surrounded by lush and greenery! The staff was ever kind and willing to support. I wish I had stayed longer. The biggest surprise was being able to still have Wi-Fi on the yard! I was sitting in the garden and able to work as there was Wi-Fi signal.

I would just suggest a variety when it comes to meal options on the property. The could consider expanding the Food options in avail, especially when one stays for longer than 1 night, you want to eat something different.

The Breakfast was fresh, Clean, tasty, enough portion, and the cook was excellent. on our last day we were served Kudu patty as an add-on and it was super tasty. The room and the bathroom were a fair size and cozy.

The aircon had a very bright purple lifting which could not be switched off during the night and made the room light and therefore disturbing, one needs full darkness to catch a very good deep sleep.

Stunning! it was our last night in South Africa before flying home . The lodge is an easy 15 mins away. Wish we had at least two nights. the property was like a movie set . beautiful trees, pools replacing pond - where I had to sit in a rocking chair with my book . Never have I seen such a picture book property .

Other reviews of the lodge already mention the cleanliness of the accommodation, so I don't have to say anything about that. What I really want to mention is that the staff went over and above their duty to help us. We had a vehicle breakdown and the staff spent two hours of their time (after dark), and also offered tools from the farm workshop, to help us fix the vehicle. We really appreciated the help. Also, on checkout we forgot some items in the room and they contacted us to let us know. Breakfast was great. I can really recommend Country Lane Lodge.

The property was very tranquil with a very beautiful garden. We wanted a place where we could rest and bond as a family and this property suited that purpose perfectly!

It was absolutely lovely - the place is beautiful, the breakfast was great, they even packed breakfast for us when we wanted to leave early to go the the Kruger. The service was very efficient and friendly. I would highly recommend Country Lane Lodge. Loved everything about it.
