Holiday Inn Express - Ljubljana, an IHG Hotel

First thing that comes to mind is the excellent staff at all shifts. They are efficient, courteous and friendly with great smiles. The location is a 45 minute walk to the center of the city. However transportation cost by taxi was modest thanks to the hotel arrangements with local taxi company. A good selection of choices available for breakfast. Coffee quality is very good. The hotel assisted us is travelling to Lake Bled a must visit site by arranging the services of a private vehicle.

Nothing that I can recall.

Very nice hotel, pet friendly, location is good, a bit far from the city, but you can still reach it by foot, or catch the bus just minutes away from the hotel or use a taxi. Breakfast was superb, we loved it so much. Parking was free which is a plus.

One day our room was not cleaned after we came back late in the afternoon, and all other days only the beds were arranged - no actual cleaning of the room.

Great location for day trips, super fast access to highways, within an hour to multiple destinations, short & relaxing walk to city center! Room was very modern decor, clean, & so quiet! Parking onsite. Breakfast was a nice spread of hot/cold, fresh & diverse items, breakfast & cleaning staff were so professional, polite & welcoming! Pets are welcome for a fee & with zero hassles! I will definitely stay here again!

Bathroom sink is super modern, but it takes up 90% of vanity space & the faucet is hard to use without splashing water everywhere. Shower looks great but function has slow drain & the pitch is not steep enough in the correct direction causing water & suds flow underneath glass door instead of flowing towards drain. Bathroom lighting is dull & would benefit greatly from some “natural light” type bulbs.

The neighbourhood is quiet and nice, the hotel is in the suburbs. You can walk to the city centre (around 30-35 minutes) or you can take the bus (around 15-20 minutes). The rooms are clean and comfortable, and they refill the tea filters, coffees, sugars etc. every day. If you're staying in a room with a double bed, normally you only get 1 blanket but you can ask for a second one. And you can choose between firm and soft pillows, they grant you both.

Breakfast is almost the same every morning (but it's tasty).

- to go to the center of ljubljana you will need a car as it would take around 45 minutes to walk there (by car 10 minutes) - we paid approx. 41 euro per person incl. breakfast and tourism fee per night. It is not high season and I don't know about the general prices for hotels in this city but if you keep in mind that it is not in the center of the town it seems a little bit high for a 3* hotel

I always found this hotel as a very good option for Ljubljana - a bit out of the crowds of the city center, yet not very far away - 5 mins by bike, 15 mins walking. Nicely laid spacious room, good bed, maybe a bit too soft for my taste, but OK. Very good designed bathroom, basically - all that is comfortable for a mid or a bit longer stay. Being run by Turkish-origin people, one can always find very tasty olives and cheese for the breakfast.

The housekeeping needs to be improved. I am willing to bet - there was not once vacuuming of the room during my stay. Also, the bathroom was not thoroughly cleaned more than once. Mentioning the breakfast above - it is very good, yet a bit more variety will not harm; the choice gets a bit boring if one stays for more than 4 or 5 days...

The staff was nice and accommodating. They could speak to us in English and recommended a fantastic dinner place within walking distance. We arrived in Ljubliana, and our luggage did not, so we needed to stay overnight and wait for it to catch up. The staff knew we had been traveling for more than 24 hours and got our room ready early. We couldn't have found a nicer staff or a better hotel~

Connecting our phones to the television to watch the Wimbledon finals was difficult. We ended up just watching it on our phones, but it would have been great to watch it on tv.

hotel is located in a calm part of Ljubljana, close to some faculties and concert venue Cvetličarna. It is a 25 min walk to center, or 15 min by public transport. It has beautiful breakfast area and garden so you can eat outside. Breakfast is very good. Rooms are large, lovely designed. Parking lot is secured in the back of the hotel.

the only problem is lack of storage in the room although there was enough space to add at least few shelves or something similar.

Great Hotel, nice staff, good location, free parking, excellent breakfast, really clean. The downtown is 10 minutes by bicycle that you can rent next to the Hotel for 1€ per week (BicikeLJ).

My son and I had to spend 6 nights in Ljubljana and they couldn’t have been more comfortable. The hotel offers a very delicious breakfast with good variety. The room was very cozy with comfortable beds. Two types of pillows, hard and soft. there’s a supermarket near by and a café just across. we came by car, they offer free parking and we never had a problem parking although the hotel was always fully booked. There’s also a bus station on the same street. They have a small nice outdoor area. Air conditioning is good and the rooms are nice and clean.
