Belgrade City Hotel

The location is excellent and the birds singing in the lobby area are super nice. Shoe polishing machine in the lobby area was funny, it became into use for an unfortunate incident 😁 the old decorior of the place is nice and it is breathing somewhat its old history.

Well....It is quite, maybe dirty is the wrong word but surely it would need a deep clean. For example in our room there was some dried human species on the wall, i think that tells everything. During check in the receptionist was quite not so in a customer relation mood and decided to talk in the phone for over 15 munutes instead of serving the customer. This was at 1 AM in the night, so not such a nice move. Breakfast. Well its a breakfast. Nuff said. Nothing special, some cold dry fried eggs and bread accompanied by osome vegetables. Coffee was quite nice tho.

Economy room for two in the Annex (not the main part of the hotel), 3rd floor without lift (luckily we did not have a lot of luggage). You can see that hotel is a bit older, but it was partially renewed, so it was pleasant. Clean room, clean towells, good water pressure, toiletries provided, working AC. Reception: polite, nice, agile Breakfast: Continental, good. Location: quiet at night though located in a busy spot. Next to main bus station. Trams and city buses drive in the nearby, stops are close to hotel. Parking: was available, luckily, 10€per day of stay, however beware that the parking is small (10 cars max) so you need to reserve it in advance. If you prefer more space for manouvering the car, come before check in :) we were allowed to leave the car on the last day a few hours past checkout. In the evening take a stroll down the waterfront walkway behind the main bus station (where new appartment buidings are built). It's a nice getaway from the socialistic Belgrade :)

Room is a bit small, but we did book economy room. On the second day a whole bus of Greeks came, which occuppied the whole breakfast room and were impolite, but that's not hotel's fault.

Good looking old hotel with good reception. Big with weirdly, gambling arcade between it and the restaurant that I’m not sure is theirs! 20% discount; ask at reception. Stairs or lift. I was upgraded to the main building from the annex. My room above the front doors was a good size with a good, if creaky, double bed with clean white double duvet and four good pillows. Two bedside cabinets with lighting over. Desk, chair, tele and mirrors. Safe and mini bar. Kettle and tea/coffee and two cups. Wardrobe space. One window with a nice view of a park and huge monument and beautiful former rail station. Toilet/shower room is big enough and clean and bright. Towels good. Shower cubicle is good and the shower good. Hot water takes a while, but, is hot. Toiletries provided; don’t forget your shower cap! Breakfast is good with hot bacon and fried eggs and ‘sausages’ and everything else. Nice, clean and relaxed. Away from the city centre, but, walking distance Very near bus station.

Being above the front door it has traffic noise, but, the double glazing does its job mostly. Curtains too thin for some people; I’m an early riser. Disgusting waste at breakfast, but, not the hotels fault. I think the hotel breakfast ‘restauran’ is not the same as ‘the’ restaurant two doors down; hence the 20% discount. No bar? Didn’t notice one.

I was travelling alone and stayed in the hotel for a few days. The receptionist was really nice. Overall, the hotel was clean as well as most of the room. The minibar was full; tea and Nescaffe coffe bags came for free along with the option to heat the water in the room (kettle). View from my room was at some old facade of the building, but the smell at the entrance was fresh and nice. The mattrasses were a bit too soft for my liking. The bathroom was clean and was equipped with some free shampoo and free shower gel. The only thing i would recommed is to fix the shower cabin doors since they were a bit too hard to close. Wifi in the was great and sufficiently fast to do a few tasks for work. I've took the room with breakfast. I was missing some turkish coffee and freshly squeezed juice. Some breakfast ideas were a bit outdated, but i believe the restaurant is not part of the hotel. Apart from that, the breakfast was ok. I'll surely come back if the location will be convinient for me when i'm visiting Belgrade. It is located acroos the street from the bus station, but i did not hear any noise from the traffic outside.

Big modern hotel which is situated not far from the center of the city. The stuff is really friendly, everyone speaks English perfectly. The best part is breakfast - the choice and the food are great. Also there is a small casino as a part of the hotel. You’ll need about 10-15 minutes to get to the central attractions by foot

The room was great. The location was excellent. We really enjoyed the ambiance of the place and the parking was fine - a little cramped but, it was secure and what we expected. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious.

There isn't a pull out or place to park when checking in. So that was confusing to us. Eventually we learned to just put on our flashers and park in the roadway. This was unexpected for someone traveling from North America. Once we figured it out, we were fine.

Room service is really very pushy sometimes :) As I was staying in the backside building, their working day starts at 8.00 - rather early, if you want to sleep :)) And you definitely should do something with your taxi system

The staff was very nice and helpful, almost all of them speak English, the food was great, we had breakfast included. The staff cleaned and changed the sheets and the towels and vacuumed and mopped and took the trash out in our room daily.

We stayed in the annex building in the 3 star room. The bed was squeaky, and you could hear the neighbors and everyone on the hallway slamming their room doors. And the parking should be better marked because we had a hard time finding it, we arried in the afternoon and it was dark outside and rainy.

very good location all receptionists very helpful and polite funny parrots in the hall parking possibility (However, 10 EUR is in Serbia perhaps to much money for a day of parking.) existence of a gym (However, very humble with some dumbbells missing and one not fully functioning bench only.)

There was an impolite waiter for breakfasts. It was sometimes difficult to find a clean table during breakfast time. There was a rich choice during breakfast, however the quality of the food and coffee is under four star hotel average. Some chaimbermaids greet the guests and some not. The day before the departure the room was not cleaned. The wi-fi did not work most of the time.

The basket full of mandarins, apples and lemons we were welcomed with in our room was a nice surprise and also the free room upgrade we received. The hotel also has a nice restaurant, Savamala Restaurant dating back to 1910 and a 20% discount voucher from the reception. Good food, great variety for both restaurant and breakfast. Quite close for a walk to the centre. Good wifi. Last but not least, they have an exquisite cage with 5 perroquets and aquariums.
