Pension Brasovu Vechi

The hotel had a homie feeling with 2 friendly and accommodating staff They prepared a breakfast made by different menu of choice - the omelette was extraordinary The room was spacious, warm and clean The hotel also offered parking space

The major problem of this room was that it had no blackout curtains or shutters so it had light in the morning (the picture is the curtains in the morning from the bed) Also for a double bed it offered 2 separate single coverlets that for us they seems very small The distance from the historic center was indeed walkable around 10 minutes by foot

Very nice guest house run by warm and welcoming owner whose rudimentary knowledge of English was not a problem at all. The room was spacious, tastefully decorated, air conditioned and had a great bathroom. The breakfast, which was included in the price, was very good. Delighted to have has a safe parking space just behind the property and really appreciated the kind neighbour who helped us with a car problem. Would definitely stay here again and have no reservations in recommending it.

The only minor thing is that it would have been useful to have had a small fridge in the room.

Location: 10 min walk to center. Breakfast: fair, not buffet, but you have a menu with some breakfast options and the omlette was really good. Above average mattresses. Clean and quiet. Nice view.

The only thing that bothered me was the beds positioning in the twin room, meaning face to face, near the wall, not near eachother in the middle, which led to some disadvantages: only one can watch TV(the other one sleeps under it; they are both positioned near/on the side of the window and you can really harm yourself(like a did) if you are not carreful when you get out of bed - the window frame in extremely thick and sharp; both beds are near the exterior wall, which is, of course, cold. Yet again, we only stayed for one night and that's the reason for which I did not ask for another room(I can only guess that there are other room with standard layout).

- Nice, cozy pension close from main square of Braşov (10 min walking) - Lady on reception during check in day, positive and warm attitude.

- (Room 5) Shower - cold water first 3-4 min . No indication of waiting time to leave water running before entering to shower. - Receptionist second day, got upset and complained I got very few left snow on the side of my boots and slightly knocked the floor before going up on the stairs. I said I am sorry. However, when to check out, cleaning staff went up on the stairs wish a lot of snow but there was no complaint from receptionist anymore. Morning breakfast I said I would like the coffee after the breakfast. I was forgotten. However, I noticed I was not very welcomed by this receptionist . No problem, I am not coming back where I am not welcomed. I think there is a huge difference between receptionists.

The breakfast was a choice of a menu, mostly eggs prepared on demand (always warm). The staff were very friendly and always asked if everything was okay. They have some drinks at the reception (from soft drinks to beer and whisky) and the parking lot has a fence so you can even keep some luggage in the car safely. The location is great, very close to o the very Center in a quiet street of the original Romanian neighbourhood. Only they don't have maps or much touristic information in the hotel, apart from that great value! Perfect stay!

We stayed 3 nights at the pension and we enjoyed every single of them. Clean room with old-ish style furniture and heated during the night (Spring season in our case). The host was very pleasing to talk with and helped us with a couple of recommendations. For breakfast we had 6 menu's for choice. The location was perfect including private parking lot (guarded by a huge but beautiful dog - Mura 😁)

The shower was a bit leaking outside the cabin, but it was just a small and almost unnoticed issue.

authentic, clean, warm feeling

The hotel is situated in the historical center of Brasov, 10 min away (by walk) from the cathedral. The hotel has a private parking, and it had free spots. The room was cute and clean, it had a big window to the courtyard and a big bathroom (it looked like 4 people could be taking shower at the same time!). At the breakfast, there were 6 different menus to choose from. The receptionist was really nice even though she was not fluent in English. We still found a way to communicate! WiFi was great on every floor.

Our windows overlooked a terrace on the second floor. It was frequently visited by guests, we could very well hear them talking and smell them smoking throughout the night. Luckily, the room had air conditioning, so, we closed the window and went back to sleep. Also, the bathroom didn’t have enough hangers to hand a towel on. But that’s ok :)

"I stayed at this hotel in March and overall had a decent experience. The room was good, although not very spacious and the bathroom was standard. It was a bit cold during my stay, which made it a little uncomfortable. However, the breakfast was good and the hotel also offered private parking, which was a plus. The location was also great as it was situated in the center of a good area. While it's not the best option out there, it's definitely not a bad one either."

Very friendly and hospitable host,couldn't do enough for you. Perfect location for access to the old town and free on-site parking . From the deluxe room, nice view towards the mountains. The breakfast and especially the coffee were really nice.. We recommend this hotel..

No minibar and no complementary water in the room,but you can buy cold drinks downstairs at a reasonable price
