Casual Inca Porto

Bed was great. The room was clean, toiletries provided, albeit in small bottles. It was mostly quiet but see below. Blackout curtains were effective and made for a decent night's sleep. Shower was good and clean. All staff were very good. Breakfast was nice, fresh fruit and breads, etc. plenty of choice. Food replenished regularly. Hotel was a good walk from the metro, I recommend getting an Uber from either the the bus garage or the metro. It's uphill, (like most things in Porto) to the hotel; carrying luggage is no fun on cobbled streets.

Soundproofing was poor, lots to loo noises from room above. Not much of a view from the widows, mostly rooftops from the 4th floor; not a problem for us, we planned a one-night stay. Telephone in room did not work. Bar seemed a bit of an after thought, its being part of a small reception, its hard for it to lend itself to a social atmosphere, very few seats and located near the entrance door and Reception desk. MTV was relied upon to create background ambience both at the bar and in the breakfast room: nice, if you like that sort of thing. Limited cocktails (2) for Happy Hour, no Pisco Sour. (In a hotel with 'Inca' in the name?) Boo! Dinner snacks, pizza and lasagne we were told were available but we saw no menu and hadn't realised that food was on offer.

I booked for 2 nights instead of 3. The hotel accommodated for an extra night. Location was within easy walking distance of the city centre, Ribeira and Vila Nova de Gaia. I walked everywhere other than when I did the hop on hop off buses. Breakfast was good. Staff friendly

There was a slight smell of cigarette smoke on my first night but I must have gotten used to it, because that was the only time I smelt it. Neighbours across the hall were loud till about 1am on the night I arrived

Super friendly staff, great location - close to the city center and to many restaurants. The room is clean and comfortable, it has a kettle and a fridge, both of which were useful.

It is a bit noisy outside if the windows are open. Early every morning the garbage truck comes and the seagulls fly around. It is noticeable only if you're a light sleeper. Another small inconvenience that I had was that the shampoos were in small tubes. It is much more convenient when they are in big bottles, which are attached to the wall, for example, and refilled from time to time

The location was perfect for the center square and food options. Our room (family room) was ideal for two adults and a youth. The room for my parents was very large and spacious and they had a king bed and giant bathroom. VERY happy! Breakfast was great. The staff lady who worked breakfast was super friendly and helpful. It had a large variety of food options, very hot, available at 7:30 a.m. and an AMAZING hot beverage machine (hot chocolate/cappuccino, etc). Nice way to check out in the a.m. after fresh juices/coffee/fruit/yogurt/breads/eggs/meats and veggies.

The parking is a bit hard to come by. There is a paid parking space, but they are not open 24/7. The parking space across from the hotel was ideal, but it is hit and miss on whether or not there will be availability.

This was a really nice hotel. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The lobby and lobby bar were very nice. It turned out to be an excellent location, which is always very hard to judge when looking at the information about hotels. It was up a long hill but not a really steep grade. But most of the places in the old part of Porto were like that. The desk manager also gave us good advice on a nice restaurant as well as a day trip she booked for us.

The only drawback was the tub. We are older travelers and prefer a walk in shower Or need good hand holds with tubs. The problem was the tub didn’t have any safety hand holds to use getting in and out of the tub. And as it is with almost all hotels, there is never enough room in the bathroom for toiletries for two people!

Only one room (102) with an outdoor terrace and I got it! A friendly greeting upon arrival and everything handled efficiently. The room was outstanding! WiFi worked great, excellent selection on satellite television, clean and comfortable. I did not take advantage of the (pricy) breakfast.

One thing that needs to be improved is the light on the outdoor terrace. During the day the ambience is nice. In the evening, when the light is turned on, all ambience crashes away. The light is much too bright and much too "cold". An observation (not a complaint); take care when using the bathroom sink. When you bend down while washing your teeth or to freshen your face, the bathroom mirror is quite close to your head. Took some getting used to.

Clean, air-conditioned room with fast internet connection, TV, and a comfy bed. Great location for people wanting to party or visit some good restaurants, pretty close to city centre. A lot of tourist attractions in walking distance from hotel. Very polite and helpful Staff. Overall I'm very satisfied, the money I spent was well worth it

There are a lot of bars and clubs in the vicinity, meaning it can get loud on weekend nights

Hotel is located in the center and tourist places are very close. No need to take additional transport. Cafes, interesting historic places, shopping streets are within walking distance. Personal of the hotel is friendly and attentive to guests. Breakfast includes different types of desserts. One of nice additions that guests can try national dessert "Pastel de nata". Also it was one of the best coffees I've tested during my whole Europe trip.

As hotel is loceted in the center of the city our window was looking to the inner old yard. It wasn't so pleasant as I expected.

I'm not sure if we got lucky or not, but the apartment was fantastic: two rooms, decent size, nice bathroom, amazing view of the whole city, good lighting, and decent heating. The location is also great, we are pretty close to the central stuff in Porto (keep in mind that on the way back you need to climb the street since it's uphill). Staff was nice, they allowed me to use the conference room in the morning for a work meeting.

Parking can be though even in the street and it's not free.

The room looks just like the picture. Front desk staff is trilingual: Portuguese, Spanish, and English. The hotel is in the city center and 6 minutes walk to Livraria Lello. The bed was comfortable. There was hot water in the bathroom. The wifi was fast. I was able to have a Zoom call without any lagging. There is A/C in the room. There is an elevator so taking luggage to and from the room was easy. A buffet breakfast is available but it was not included in the cost of my room so I had to pay upon checkout.
