Browns Downtown Hotel

We chose this place for it's location and it was winner. As we enered the modern contemporary lobby we knew we were in the best place. The staff was extremely helpful, patient and kind. Our room was also comfortable and very clean. Loved the cosmetics in the bathroom, as well.

The air conditioning seemed to be working only on one temperature and the fan on the ceiling wasn't with adjustable speed (at least we couldn't find it). Very little discomfort comparing to the whole picture.

This hotel was extremely stylish and well-decorated, probably one of the best! We enjoyed the ambiance and thoughtfulness of the aesthetics. Breakfast buffet had great selections. Location was right in the city centre, very convenient to get around. Staff was amazing and attentive, and made great suggestions for things to do in the area when we arrived early.

The temperature in the room was poorly regulated. The A/C didn’t work, the room was extremely hot even with the ceiling fan running. Slight sewer smell coming from the bathroom on our last day. Brown’s central location had a huge roach in the washroom, even though facility was super clean and well-maintained.

Location sold it for us. Easy to walk everywhere. Many restaurants & shops near by. Friendly staff. We got a room upgrade, which was really appreciated.

No bar or food in the hotel, we felt there is space. We didnt go to breakfast but i believe you have to go to a Browns hotel nearby. Its a shame tohave to leave the hotel to get food but thats really the only complaint.

Very comfortable beds, great staff, good breakfast.

Bathroom was too small and crampt. No room to move or set toiletries.

We loved this hotel for three reasons: very comfortable bed, lovely staff and lobby, and excellent location! I would recommend this hotel to anyone seeking to explore Lisbon via foot. It was right in the center and yet relatively quiet. We were able to reach almost everything within 5-10 minutes of walking, and that includes the train to the airport and bus to the Belem tower. It's also only a 5 min walk from the ocean. I can't imagine a better location. The staff was also very friendly and even got us extra coffee when we asked for it. The lobby was beautifully decorated and the rooms were cleaned perfectly every day!

The room was quite small for two people and bathroom was mirrored all around, which was an interesting design choice. Definitely fun for a little while, but also very weird to see yourself from all angles infinitely when using the bathroom. The shower was quite dark (there was no light inside).

The hotel is charming and very well-located. It's close to the most incredible places downtown. Nearby you can take the subway, train, and bus by walking around two and five minutes away. The room is pretty clean, and everything works well. The breakfast is excellent. It includes brads, ramóns, cheeses, and other Portuguese specialties. The price is reasonable. It is one of the best options to stay in Lisbon if you can not invest a lot of money in a five-star hotel but wants to stay in a great place.

Only the room is a little small, but it's not a big issue compared to the great things the hotel offers.

Book it if looking to stay in Baixa - very well located hotel, metro station right behind, commercial zone, buses and train stations in a fair walking distance. The young staff in the reception are awesome, always smiling and willing to help, Marisa, Marta, Luis and others. What a nice people!!! The housekeepers were efficient too and room was always clean.

Due to the location downtown in the expensive Baixa, rooms are very small, barely could manage with 2 suitcases, but we liked the environment. There were no extra blankets late at night, room amenities such as laundry bag and toiletries were a bit limited. Not a big issue though, decoration is special.

After a delayed flight and lengthy queues at Lisbon airport, it was a massive relief to arrive at such a lovely hotel. We were thrilled to receive an upgrade to the stunning top floor suite. Such an added bonus after such a difficult trip. The room was absolutely stunning. Rooftop views over the city, bath robe, slippers, air conditioning, water, tea and coffee provided. Lovely bathroom with fresh towels and shower products. Flat screen tv, wifi and ample wardrobe space. We had breakfast each morning at neighbouring hotel. Great selection of food - mix of sweet and savoury. The hotel has an excellent location - central, close to loads of restaurants, near the sea, near the main shopping street. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would 100% recommend this hotel and will definitely return.

Modern boutique hotel with a laid back vintage vibe. The classic lounge houses eclectic books with crooning music which makes you drift back in time to a more romantic era. The ability to pipe into their spotify playlist by bluetooth with the in-room Marshall speaker was a cool touch. The hotel is located amidst the best restaurants, pastry shops and retail stores of the Bairro Alto and Chiado districts. Walk Lisbon from the doorstep of this hotel, such is the central location. A welcome bottle of wine upon arrival along with a signature drink at the neighbouring Brown's Bistro were very pleasant offerings. A 10% discount at the neighbouring bistro is an added bonus and I highly recommend having a lunch, snack or dinner at Brown's Bistro to enjoy the casual and excellent fare.

The bathroom was a little tight but, hey, you're in a great downtown flat in Lisbon!

Very beautiful hotel. The rooms are tastefully and modernly furnished. Quiet room, we couldn't hear the noise of the street. You get free tea and Nespresso coffee in the room. In addition, you get a free bottle of red wine and a welcome drink at the bar. That's really great! Very nice and helpful employees. The hotel is very central and very close to the metro station. Couldn't be better.

The room was a bit smelly. It didn't go away even having the window open. The shower had cracks in it and when you stand in the shower there was brown liquid coming out of those cracks. We told this to the employees. They seemed to taking care of it. We didn't stay long enough in the hotel to know if they fixed this problem.
