Villa Zawaia B&B0

It was our 1st time in Lagos and the Villa Zawaia was a wonderful hotel. We stayed for 3 nights - enjoyed a yummy breakfast each morning on the terrace and found the hotel truly a perfect location for exploring Lagos, the surrounding beaches, finding good restaurants and still being in a nice area that was quiet at night. Also, we had a rental car and it was super easy to park at the free parking lot 3 minute walk away. Highly recommend this hotel!

The room was very nice, comfortable with a really modern bathroom and shower. There was air conditioning and a very comfy bed. The decor of this hotel is fabulous, like a boutique hotel and a very nice courtyard area with a small pool and seating. The manager assisted us as our luggage was missing at the airport, this really helped us out. The breakfast is nicely set up and a good variety of pastries and fruit, with coffee and tea. The hotel has a pool and nice area to relax. The location in the old town is the winner here, you are close to cafes, the square and the local beach which can be accessed by a one euro boat service back and forth.

The coffee was made and given out by a staff member, It was good but there wasn't always an opportunity to have a second coffee or self serve. The pool seating area is limited and when there are lots of people, there are only a few good pool chairs and sunbeds. THere is no lift so this is worth noting if you are going to have a lot of luggage.

Such a beautiful tranquil oasis, ideally located in Lagos old town. Our room was stunning and overlooked the delightful pool area. A delicious breakfast with plenty of choice was served on the terrace. The staff were all very friendly & extremely helpful - we didn’t want for anything. We couldn’t recommend this B&B more highly & will definitely return.

No coffee making facility in the room. There was a tea machine but it used pods & was a bit strange. A fridge would be nice to keep drinks cool. Otherwise it’s very hard to fault this place.

Impeccably clean and very quiet, even though it is located right in the historical centre. The staff is very welcoming, the bed was extremely comfortable and the patio with the swimming pool is absolutely fabulous. I love the fact that from the outside you would never guess what a fabulous place this is, it's very unassuming but once you enter through the door it is like traveling to a magic place, the Arabic design and decor is stunning.

I really didn't like the orange juice at breakfast, it is some kind of highly diluted concentrated juice. Lagos is a city where you see orange trees everywhere on the street with oranges on the floor because they have so much that people can't be bothered to pick them up from the trees. I really hope the owners would invest in a juice machine to provide fresh orange juice instead of that low quality stuff. This is the only negative comment but it is a very important one, clients really notice these things and it is an easy fix.

We had courtyard view delux room which overlooked the pool and was very quiet. Good range on the breakfast buffet, toast/bread, cheeses, cold meats, boiled eggs, pastries, fruit. Freshly brewed coffee or tea. All delicious and fresh with plenty of choose. Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the beautiful pool area, or in the stylish lounge/bar. Friendly helpful reception, allowed us to leave our bags when we arrived early. The room was ready early so we were able to check-in before 15.00. Nice to have 12.00 checkout.

This place is a delight it is more like a boutique hotel. The rooms are beautifully decorated and have every little thing you might need for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was varied and plentiful with good coffee on offer. The pool is an added bonus and I did give it a try despite the weather being quite chilly. I'd definitely recommend it as a quiet getaway located right in the centre of Lagos with access to shops bars restaurants and only a short walk from the marina and a lovely beach. I do hope to be able to stay again in the future.

Everything was perfect for me

Friendly staff, comfortable room, bed and shower. Great location at Lagos town centre. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. The swimming pool was definitely a strong bonus. The B&B provides thermal bottles and a water filter for guests during their stay :)

There was a tiny bit of noise coming from people partying outside but it was manageable. The car park if about 4-5 mins walk from the property which depending on the time of the day and heat could be a bit challenging.

The pictures don't do justice to how big and lovely the room was. Everything was fantastic and the staff were so kind and helpful throughout my stay. The bed was very cozyy and the sheets were nice. The interior design of the entire building was very nice, modern and tasteful. I loved the artworksThe water pressure was also 100%. I will definitely recommend this to all my friends and will return there someday soon. As a Bonus its also close to the beaches and the old town so you can reach everywhere on foot within minutes.

Location was great everything at your doorstep. upgraded for the first 5 days which was great but downside was being roomless for a few hours on changeover day. We did have the pool area to use which was great and sun to go with it. The breakfast every morning was outstanding and service exceptional.

Staff were brilliant and most helpful at all times. Thank you. Very well designed space, our loft room in particular. Tasty breakfast. Excellent location in the old town. Very clean and comfortable. Even invited friends, who were also well impressed.

Rather a long climb up the stairs to our for my 87-year old mum-in-law. Kitchen tap and shower adjustment were a bit wonky. Pots of tea for breakfast would be nice (although I think many guests drink coffee).
