Grande Real Santa Eulalia Resort & Hotel Spa

A classy hotel in a good location close to the beach. Very professional staff. Great sea view.

Unfortunately the outdoor pool was closed (it was January I suppose). For the indoor pool we were asked to pay €18. It was a bit of a walk to nearby bars, but there is a hotel shuttle bus to albufeira.

We will definitely return to this location, Albufeira-Grande Real Santa Eulalia Resort & Hotel SPA. Everything was excellent, accommodation, facilities, food, drink, entertainment, excursions, transport. I want to congratulate the staff at the reception, in particular, for the determination and disposition with which they listen to the tourist and for the professionalism with which they solve all their wishes. Congratulations!

Bathroom with wc and shower on the beach required! Tourists, mostly families with children, have to climb stairs and use the restaurants' toilets. I believe that it is not the best and safest solution neither for tourists nor for restaurant customers.

Location is charming, ocean view especially. Beach is nice. Parking is big enough ( for this time of the year, high season?). Breakfast is delicious.

Pool and sauna have to be paid extra, and are not something special, very small. But fortunately almost empty. The dinner is out of season served at seaside restaurant, not in the hotel. Therefore it is not a buffet dinner. A bit overpriced, food is not bad, but nothing special, you choose it from a short half board menu, get three corses, and feel a bit second class guest compared to next tables with much better selection. It is not so easy to get it, I said twice that I want half board, at reservation and at arrival, but finally in restaurant they did not know anything about that.

A large hotel resort in a beautiful location by the sea. I stayed in one of the studio villas and had breakfast at the hotel. Although the resort is close to Albufeira and a busy street, it has a quiet and laid back vibe. Enjoyed the views from the balcony, the morning walk to the hotel and the views from the breakfast table. The beautiful Santa Eulalia beach can be accessed from the hotel. There is no large swimming pool like some other Algarve resorts have, but then again with a direct access to the beach you do not really need it. Since this was my first time visiting Algarve I used this hotel as a base to visit places like Sagres, Tavira and Villamora. There are bus connections, but with a hire car you can see more places. The hotel is perhaps more 4 than 5 star, but it was nice that it was not too posh and had a laid back feel to it. Overall, it was great value for money and an excellent location. I would be happy to stay there again.

There are quite a many conferences organized at the hotel, so those looking for a ultimate getaway may not be happy to mingle with business people.

We had originally planned to stay for 5 days but loved it so much that we extended our trip by two days. We spent five days in the hotel and two in the apartments. Both were great and kept very clean. We also had a free room upgrade from a studio to a one bed apartment which was nice and spacious. The staff in all areas of the resort are fantastic- always friendly and helpful. From reception, to the spa, the restaurants and the guys working the beach - could not fault any of them. The variety of restaurants at the hotel was really nice and the views while eating, whether during the day or night, were unmatched. At breakfast there was a great variety of foods available to suit everyone’s taste. There can be a queue at certain times but it moves quite quickly. Having access to a private beach was one of my favourite things about this resort. It was a short 2 minute walk from the hotel which was very convenient. The beach itself was clean and had plenty of sun loungers for rent.

Very minor flaw but the apartments could maybe do with a revamp as the colour choices are a bit outdated.

I liked the hotel facilities, very nice. I had an apartment with 2 bedrooms for 4 friends and I slept in the living room on a bed. 2 nice bathrooms too. Balcony. Kitchenette with hob, coffee machine, kettle, cutlery, pans, crockery etc. Also had shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and body lotion in the bathrooms. Swimming pools great especially the main one. Bar selling delicious snacks, drinks and ice creams, coffee. Always well stocked up. The spa looked great and gym basic but lots of equipment. Staff were very nice too. All in all I had a wonderful time here and looking forward to going back next year.

Apartment a little dated, could do with modernising now in saying that I quite liked the old style. I also burnt my bum on the hot tap in the shower a few times in the smaller bathroom because it was a tiny shower, was also dark in there with not much light. The other bathroom was great though. But really no big deal. The pool near us apartment 510 hardly had any sunbeds and the bar was closed but I think they were doing it up.

The location was good. Facilities and restaurants were nice. Private beach from back door was brilliant. Good food and wine in the beach side restaurant. Dedicated area for kids activities was really nice for kids to be engaged. We also enjoyed pool table. Swimming pools were of good size with good temperature with drinks/food available. We also enjoyed the spa and massage treatments which was very relaxing!!

Found one of the staff serving on the bar rude in the main lounge. Happened more than once. He was a senior staff member and was not even courteous to the other staff members.

Property is really good, we are with two kids and family. So we had all whatever you want inside the campus. It has it's own beach and trail to walk in the morning. Car parking is also free. Rest all is good

I would say the staff, with whom we are doing check-in, was just as pathetic as it can be. I do agree we reached a bit early, but we are ready to wait. They told us that once the room is ready, we will give you a call. and the call never reached our mail/phone/whatsapp any way. If your starting hospitality level is like this, then it would not survive for long. The 2 bed apartment, would have been maintained in a much better way. There is a scope for cleanness.

Very good breakfast with high quality products (the cakes and pastry were super tasty!) Liked the different restaurant and bar options (good food, lovely view overlooking the ocean). Nice entry to the beach. Comfortable and spacious rooms. We would return here on a future occasion.

Bath towels could do with replacement. Some of them are quite worn-out. Would have been cool to have the room serviced earlier in the day and not late in the afternoon. The restaurants and other parts of the hotel seemed understaffed

The location is great with Santa Eulalia beach at walking distance. The food and restaurant options are great, nice animation and always wonderful food options in the main restaurant as well as in the other restaurants closer to the beach. The staff is super friendly. The Wi-Fi is reliable and fast. Even though our view was facing the parking lot, it was very close to one of the pools and sufficiently distant from the cars for the parking lot to bother us.

The room decoration felt a bit outdated for a 5 star hotel. The swimming pool(s) are too small for a hotel of this size, which means that they are often crowded.
