Hotel Unicus Krakow Old Town

Very spacious room on the third floor of this lovely hotel which is situated on a side street convenient for the shops, bars & restaurants. 5 min walk to the central market square & within easy reach of all Kraków’s main tourist attractions. Spacious, modern & stylish shower room. Lots of wardrobe, storage & desk space. Full length mirrors, iron/ironing board, tv and fridge. Comfy beds with lovely fresh bedding. Room temp good and also able to open windows for fresh air if needed. Good choice of continental buffet breakfast & some hot choices (mainly egg or pancake based) in the quirky restaurant with exposed stone walls. Staff were extremely friendly & helpful throughout our stay, and arranged taxi transfers to the airport for us too.

The location is just wonderful, very close to the center, and most importantly the staff was just very helpful and accomodating. Breakfast was very good as well.

Room was much smaller than expected, and the bed for one person was very narrow and small. Not very comfortable, mini fridge was empty, and window coverings not flattering, and room was generally very depressing and dull, needs renovation, however, it seems that the bathroom was renovated.

We arrived earlier than the check in time but were greeted well were told the room was ready and were given a complimentary upgrade. The room was large, very comfortable and well equipped. All of the staff, reception, housekeeping and catering were exceptional in terms of their professionalism, commitment and attitude. Breakfast was served in the vaulted ceiling cellars and the lovely setting was matched by the range and quality of the produce. All of the above made for a thoroughly enjoyable six days.

The location in relation to the old market square & the church we were attending a wedding at was perfect, only a 5 min walk away. Shops, bars, restaurants, the castle, river & Jewish were all in close proximity & walkable too. Lovely continental breakfast buffet provided in the characterful underground dining room, some hot items also available to order from menu. There is a discounted Italian restaurant & facilities to use in the sister hotel Unicus Palace directly across the road, unfortunately we didn’t have time to use these. We will hopefully be back for a return stay though. Reception staff were extremely helpful in organising taxi transfers to the airport. As the hotel entrance is located on a quiet side street, drop off & pick up was very easy. Our room overlooked a bustling shopping street but the double glazing was so good we didn’t realise this, so the double glazing must be excellent. The feel to the room itself (3rd floor room 309) was spacious & relaxing and a perfect temperature with opening windows a bonus. Beautiful bathroom (shower only but very big) and comfortable bed. Huge mirrored wardrobes, dressing tables, tv, fridge & lots of space for extra child bed. Glass lift from entrance foyer/reception very quick & efficient at all times during our stay.

Didn’t see an area to sit & have a drink during the day. Not sure if there was a bar in the evening either. We didn’t get much chance to explore though as we were at a wedding for majority of our time in Krakow.

The room was clean, the location is very central, it's close to all the sights/shops/restaurants/train station. Beds were comfy too. The shower was modern, whereas the room looked a bit worn.

There were no utensils or plates in the room, just a couple of cups and glasses for tea/coffee, so we couldn't even have any snacks/breakfast in the room. Hotel breakfast is completely overpriced, could get the same meal in the city for 3 times less. The male receptionist who greeted us was quite arrogant, so that didn't leave a great first impression, but the one who checked us out was lovely.

Location was ideal for our requirements Staff friendly and attentive Felt assured health and safety for Covid were implemented Rooms clean and comfy Dressing gowns a nice touch Definitely recommend!!!

The hotel was very clean and modern, we were upgraded to a superior double room which was very spacious and had a large bathroom and good views. Fantastic location straight out onto the square and very friendly staff. The price was very good and had a 12pm checkout time which was brilliant. Check in was straight forward, the room was ready straight away and we were given a map and directions to places of interest.

Could get a little bit noisy outside at night time due to location close to pubs/clubs but expected on a Saturday night.

The hotel was excellent! The location was very central, only a couple of minutes away from the main square. The staff was very accommodating and welcoming. As per covid requirements, we received breakfast to our rooms and that was an excellent selection. The food was delicious. Highly recommend!

We were only there for 3 days / 2 nights and it was good from start to finish. We wanted to stay in the Old town Krakow as it has all the historical buildings and the atmosphere. This hotel is a short walk to the square and hub of Old Town where even in April the outside restaurants are humming with business albeit with their heaters on. Hotel was clean as was our modern spacious double bedroom. The breakfasts were our highlight of this stay because as well as a small cooked breakfast menu, they had a beautiful selection of yummy goodness. So well presented and immaculate, I just wanted to look at it. The rough stone wall tavern like setting added to the appeal. Staff very helpful with all our typical tourist questions

Bathroom dark with dimmed light. For individuals who apply make-up it's hard to see close up or not. There were other mirrors in the bedroom but not good for this purpose... saying that, this applies to most hotels so can't really single out Unicus.
