Hotel Sadova

Couldn’t of been more accommodating - including allowing us 2 extra hours in the room free and then to put our bags in the bag store and use the pool facilities until our airport transfer picked us up. The foyer bar is cozy but we loved the cyder garden. Such a nice aesthetic for a few late drinks. the barman with the ginger hair and beard was really friendly and chatty and remembered us each evening. Great location. Nice rooms. Just 5 mins walk to the riverside where you’ll find bars and restaurants, or cross the bridge and you’re at the start of Old Town. There’s a large supermarket on the corner of the road maybe 100m from the hotel which is useful. We were able to walk to most of the things we wanted to see, or staff ordered us a taxi. I’m Highly recommend Gdansk and Hotel Sadova. We hope to stay again soon!!

We had to ask to have our mini bar restocked. It wasn’t checked and done automatically, but other than that, no issues at all, and that was minor. Not a complaint - but a tip - when having breakfast, note that as well at the main servery there’s a smaller one opposite with waffles and pancakes with various toppings, and yoghurts with toppings. We only had breakfast one day and didn’t see it until we were leaving, which was disappointing. Also the juices at breakfast are very watery and tasteless, they could be better quality. Other than those minor things, we had no issues at all.

Excellent value for the money. Nice, clean and rather new hotel. Possible to regulate room temperature, which means the room was not cold. The location is perfect - 2 minutes from Gdansk Old town. Convenient parking behind the hotel, plenty of room. Tasty breakfast. The pool is big enough, however a bit cold. The sauna is small (suitable for 2-3 persons).

1) I paid for a superior room in order to get a bigger room than standard. My friends paid for a standard room. Interesting thing - their room was on the 4th floor and much bigger then mine on the 2nd floor. So that was a dissapointment. 2) The cleaning stuff is spraying the carpets. I do not know what went wrong, but one day after coming back my pillows and blankets were smelling really strong. Later I also found that the new towels had also this really strong chemical odor. 3) I stayed for 5 nights, not once were my bed linen changed. That was really weird. Other than that, I would still stay there again - the price and quality ratio is good. 4) There was no floor heating in the bathroom.

The hotel is newly built, excellent staff, friendly and very helpful, excellent massage, I definitely suggest you try the massage. The room was clean and comfortable and the size of the room was very good, but there was no trash can in the room, I personally like rain showers and our room did not have one. The view of the room was good, the window was also good. The breakfast and hotel bar were also very good.

The infrared sauna is very small, so is the pool, the sauna of this hotel is not good for Nordic people, it would be great if it had a jacuzzi. There were no paper towels in the room and we had to use toilet paper.

The restaurant and room service menu was massively limited. More choices would have been good. Bed was exceptionally hard, pillows limited, the do not disturb sign was on the door and the housekeeping still entered the room whilst we were sleeping after knocking and us already saying no. TV was so limited. Only one channel available in English and it was the news but there were many channels for German, French and Polish. Smart TVs would be a massive improvement so people can log into their Netflix

The hotel is on the border of the very centre of Gdańsk: perfect combination of short distance to the old town and quietness. It’s a place with one of the best breakfasts I’ve had a chance to eat in Poland. Varied, with a hint of local delicacies, delicious. The swimming pool is another asset. Very nice option to relax after a long-day’s walk around the city.

We asked for an extra bed, which was far from being comfortable. My daughter woke up with hurting back. The main bed was very good, though. The sauna next to the swimming pool is of the least favourable type: IR lights instead of hot stones. It’s conversion into a proper Finish sauna would be much of an advantage.

Very close, walking distance to the city centre, and still in a more quiet area. Room was nice, well equipped, bed was comfortable. Spacious parking lot outside is definitely a plus. Breakfast was delicious.

Espresso was not available at breakfast, even not with extra charge as the buffet was not open during breakfast time. The small table backdoor where you could have your coffee is literaly in the parking area. With a little attention that could be improved highly.

The room was very spacious, and clean. The beds were very comfortable. The pool and spa were a very welcome bonus, and we both thoroughly recommend having a Prana Spa massage, the two ladies were absolutely fantastic! The staff were also fantastic, and could not have done more to make our stay comfortable.

There could have been more power points in the room to plug devices in to, the one in our bathroom was just a wall feature with no actual terminations which was very odd.

Very nice, beautifully decorated hotel with friendly stuff. Very nice breakfast with a lot of choices. What I like the most is the cleanness of everything and politeness of the stuff. Toiletries used in the premisses smells amazing.

We struggled to find the pool inside the building and struggled to make the sauna work but we managed. There can be more easy to understand signs on walls in english.

The breakfast was absolutely amazing. During the weekend the variety was much bigger than during the working days - nevertheless, still pretty great! Never seen better. The rooms were nice and clean, calm. The whole hotel complex was very beautiful. We loved the restaurant food and the cider drinks in the lobby bar. We were lucky to be almost alone in the pool and sauna every night. Great access right from the rooms. The hotel staff were very kind and helpful. I would definitely come back.

The hotel is beautiful. The staff are nice, the breakfast had something for everyone and the location was superb.

The standard double beds are very small, the mini bar is a bit overpriced, the maid service is sketchy (we needed to ask reception to get the maid to do the room and bring new towels and water).
