The Sonesta Hotel El Olivar in Lima, Peru, provided an exceptional experience during my stay. From start to finish, the service was outstanding. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist with anything I needed, making me feel truly valued as a guest. The breakfast buffet was a highlight of my visit. It featured both Peruvian and American options, catering to a wide variety of tastes. Every dish I tried was delicious, and the quality was top-notch. One of the best features was the availability of custom-made eggs and omelets, prepared just the way I liked them. The rooms were equally impressive. They were extremely clean, spacious, and well-maintained with both comfortable beds and furnature for sitting. I appreciated the thoughtful design and the large size. The hotel also had an incredible rooftop pool with panoramic views of the city. It was the perfect place to unwind while taking in the breathtaking scenery of San Isidro and Lima. The location of the hotel being next to a park offered a beautiful and tranquil setting, while still being close to key attractions and business hubs in the city. Waking up to such a nice environment, combined with the stunning views from the rooftop, truly made my stay unforgettable. I highly recommend the Sonesta Hotel El Olivar to anyone visiting Lima. A great business hotel located in a pleasant side-street across from the el Olivar park/greenspace. The on-site restaurant is good, and there are a lot of restaurants within a couple minute walk if you want more variety. The Internet was rock-solid during my stay and no difficulty with teleconferencing or video streaming. Has a central marble staircase that make a great work-out returning to one's room after the expansive breakfast.

The staff would come by about 18:00 (6pm) offering freshly baked cookies. I can't eat them (celiac), which made me sad because they looked delicious.

The location was amazing! Loved going to the olive bushes and the pond with colourful fishes and turtles across the road. The staff were most helpful and brought the most delicious cookies to the room in the afternoon. The buffet breakfast was excellent and the buffet lunch was great! Everything we ate there was great. The room was spacious and comfortable. I recommend this place!

Excellent breakfast buffet with lots of fruit and all possible options. The room was very big and specious! The location next to the el Olivar park I was upscale, very lush and green, quiet with lots of security police due to many embassies in the area We enjoyed the pool on top of the hotel with its relaxing atmosphere.

The Hotel is located in a quiet area of San Isidro, but you can reach shops and restaurants with a short walk. Staff at reception, at the bar, restaurant and also cleaning staff is very friendly and always try to help you with your request. Fresh fruit every day at breakfast was awesome! Bathrooms are equipped with powerful hairdryer (important for people with long hair and during the cooler months) and the shower also has a good jet of water.

while rooms have a good size, they need some refurbishment. The flooring might need some maintenance or renewal. Compared to international standards, the cold breakfast options lack some variety (cereals).

The room was very big, with comfortable beds. The hotel is located close to the Olivar park and in a very nice neighborhood. The hotel kindly offered us an earlier check-in as our flight landed in Lima very early in the morning. Breakfast was good!

The facilities are starting to age a bit, for a 5 stars hotel. However, everything was very clean and well maintained.

Very friendly staff. Great breakfast. Spacious rooms even a bit outdated but very clean. Hotel is located in a quiet and safe surroundings but not really much to do and see. Great gym. Pool area not really inviting. But by booking you will not make a mistake. Definitely a good option.

This is not a big problem, but the laundry service is set up to charge by item instead of by weight which seems excessive.

Location across from El Olivar parque, easy walking distance to 2 archeological sites. The breakfast had many choices including made to order eggs. The pool area was clean and relaxing. We were in Lima for a wedding and our son forgot his tie and the front desk person went and found us a tie he could use. So kind!

The hotel delivered everything that can be expected reasonably from this type of hotels and more. To celebrate the end of the vacation we booked the executive suite with jacuzzi ... and we got a sauna on top in a beautiful bathroom (although a bit dated). The staff is super friendly, there is a very accessible underground parking and excellent breakfast (not as big as in the very big chains but more than enough to enjoy)
