Breakfast was good, staff professional rather than friendly, but helpful (see below). Good location.
I’d booked a single room expecting it to be small, that’s fair enough. They are all in an annexe at the side of the building and mine was directly over the pub with loud music during the night. Room was cramped and badly designed. The next day I asked to be moved which they agreed to and I was given a much better room in the main part of the hotel. I would have booked a bigger room at slightly more expense if I had known how poor the single rooms are.

I tend to stay at moderately priced hotels, and this one was at the upper end for me, but the accommodations, staff, and breakfast were all so good, I was happy to pay a little more. The breakfast was one of the best I have ever eaten -- an almost endless buffet of fine foods. Everything was first-class. Checking in, I accidentally left my stocking cap on the counter, and afterward I worried that I had lost it and would have to buy a new one. But the next morning, checking out, I saw that the staff had set it aside behind the reception desk; I was happy to get it back, and grateful to the staff for saving it. Thank you!

The Hotel deserves the stars it has. luxurious, clean. The room is comfortable, clean, the room service is very good, towels are changed every day, the room is always clean and smell good. The location of the hotel is very good, close to all the restaurants and important places in the small town. The room is large with a sea view. The staff is very friendly and respectful. The Breakfast is good, I enjoy the Natural Orange Juice especially because it is not a native product of the country, so they take the trouble to import it so that guests can enjoy it. Another thing to note is that there is a wide variety of breakfast products, very varied and that is very nice.
There really is nothing I can say bad about the hotel. I can't say it's perfect, but personally. I really enjoyed my stay. excellent service.

Everything was just fantastic! The staff were super friendly and helpful. The location was in the town centre and right next to the harbour, which I had stunning view of from my room. The food at the restaurant was delicious - the breakfast buffet was so diverse and was pleasantly accompanied by a live performance by a pianist, and the meal options for dinner were cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Lofoten!
A really minor issue - the underground car park was a bit squishy.

The Thon Hotel has a very convenient location, with stunning views of the harbor. The room was a decent size, clean, comfortable, and had a beautiful view. The front desk staff members were all very helpful. The breakfast buffet had an extensive selection, which was well prepared and delicious. Our dinner at Paleo Arctic was also excellent. Our dinner server forgot to mention that there were nuts on one of the daily specials, but changed the dish graciously, when it was presented (the person who ordered it had a nut allergy).
Minor issues: One of the staff in the breakfast room behaved unpleasantly (briefly) in separate interactions with both my husband and myself, which was a bit puzzling. Perhaps he was having a bad day. The spaces in the parking garage are quite narrow, if you don't have a compact car.

Excellent breakfast. Great restaurant : Paleo Artic. We had a beautiful view. The room was small but comfortable with nice decoration. The bed was good. The bathroom was small but clean/convenient. The staff was lovely and very helpful. There is a cruise to trollfjord leaving from right in front of the hotel several times a day. There is an underground parking (for an additional fee) We really loved this hotel and came back for a few more days at the end of our trip.
The room was a tiny bit dusty on arrival, maybe something to do with the A/C, because otherwise it was very clean. But nothing terrible at all !

Comfortable room, bed, and pillows. Underfloor heating in bathroom. Breakfast was excellent.
Noisy housekeeping staff. Room located adjacent to housekeeping supplies room. Staff outside this room would yell to other staff members at the other end of corridor. This was happening from 7.30 am. Very poor and inconsiderate.

We stayed at the Thon hotel for two nights during our July 2022 trip. First, we wrongly went to the other Thon hotel next to it and were advised, we actually booked with Thon hotel Lofoten instead. Once we arrived at the correct hotel, we were pleasantly surprised to receive a room upgrade. We stayed in room 221 which has a paronamic view of the Marina and the mountains. Priceless view! Pro: 1. The breakfast was included and was one of the best breakfast we had! Great variety! Many choices! Delicious food! 2. The Location is superb! Right in the center - next to the Marina where all the excursions are starting! All restaurants are there to pick from. There is a convenient store nearby for drinks and snacks. A Kiwi Supermarkt within 5-10 min walk. 3. There is a parking garage underneath the hotel but it was full when we checked in. Free parking in the center is available between 5 pm - 8 am, so we just did our excursions between those times. Parked our car on the street after 5 pm and it was free until the morning.
Bathroom was very tight/ small

The location was on the town centre and beside the Quay where both sightseeing boats and Hurtigruten moored. The staff were helpful and spoke excellent English. I would have no hesitation recommending the hotel.
At first, I was disappointed to find the restaurant closed on a Sunday. However, there were several restaurants within a 2-3 minute walk, and I was able to enjoy a superb dinner in one of them.
