Clarion Hotel The Hub

The hotel is in a great location, the room was clean with a nice view of the city and the bed was very comfortable. Both bars were nice and the breakfast buffet had a very wide selection. The staff was polite and helpful, including the janitors! :)

There's a gap in the bathroom between the floor and the glass panel that separates the shower from the rest of the room, which causes the floor to get very wet when showering. There also a timer for the shades outside the windows, which makes them move back up on their own.

The location was ideal. The facilities were lovely. The room however was TINY. Maybe this is the norm in Oslo. The (regular) breakfast was remarkable. Noteworthy. Amazing. Worth staying there for the location and the breakfast. The view from the bar on the 13th floor is gorgeous.

Only one thing. But the hotel really should take note of this. Because breakfast is included (so we are paying for it in our bill, right?) and because the breakfast is so incredible.....There is an early breakfast near the bar for people who must leave early. (6:30-7:30). This breakfast was TERRIBLE. The coffee was bad and ran out, there was a poor selection of options, there was no way to make toast or have pastries (there was a bit of bread), and nobody was tending to replace items missing. So one day was had this FABULOUS breakfast on the 2nd floor, and the second day we had a MISERABLE breakfast on the first floor and this can obviously be improved.

This hotel requires a lengthy opinion. It is very stylish, with many small and cosy spaces for common use. Friendly staff. Detailed decor is well conceived. I particularly liked the lifts. Room was nice, with very good amenities (including body lotion and conditioner), a small minibar, coffee machine, comfortable beds and good noise cancelling windows. Breakfast is a bit stressful, you should go in as early as possible. The gym/sauna area is small for the size of the hotel, but my timing was good. There's at least one ice machine in one of the floors, very practical. The lobby is charming and outside you have all sorts of public transportation. Nearby there are lots of good restaurants, museums, shops and other things to do.

The fact that being a conference hotel you get all sorts of people walking around and talking very loudly. This is also noticeable at breakfast, too little time for too many people and some must think they are at a bar chatting loudly. The way breakfast is set up is not practical at all. The nightclub has a clear vibe, noticeable in the room (not outside sound), at least on weekend nights. There is no umbrella in the room. The loudness of (some) people clearly clashes with the charming style of the hotel.

Breakfast was great, with a wide variety of options. We enjoyed the fish aisle particularly but everything we tried was very good. The hotel is located perfectly, within 10-20 min walk from the main objectives. We arrived earlier than the check-in time (16:00 - pretty late compared to what we were used to) but they allowed us to leave our luggage in a room (there was a room full with luggages). Rooms are big enough (we had a double standard room) with modern fittings, very comfortable bed and pillows. The view was also not too bad, overseeing the mall across the street.

The staff did not clean the room properly - we stayed for 4 nights and asked them to clean only once.. They have cleaned the bathroom mirror, changed the towels and recycle bins but had not done a proper cleaning (clean dust, floors). Also on the hallway, you could see that the rug was not appearing to be very clean (as if they were not doing vaccuming every day).

The location is superb if you travel by train, because it is only 50m away from the Oslo Central Station. The view from the front view rooms is superb and we were given a very nice room at the 11th floor. The breakfast is very very good, both in terms of quality and quantity.

The bathroom is comparatively small for the size of the room. There is actually no closet for your clothes, which is a problem. We had to spread our clothes on armchairs and couch. The usual problem with hotels in Norway occurred in the Hub, as well. They do not put a mat to step out of the shower safely, so we had to waste one towel.

Excellent large buffet Breakfast with seafood. Great location. Discover Oslo by foot. I can highly recommend the Airport train FLYTOGET. The hotel is walking distance from the central station. I can also highly recommend the Fjord Evening Cruise with Shrimp Buffet, which I also booked via Booking.com, it is the money worth (try to get a seat in the middle, not the upper deck, that way you are nearer to the bar (drinks are not included) and nearer to the buffet, which is inside in the lower deck.

The Sauna and pool area is not manned and the Sauna was not working. It was impossible to contact anyone, and when I informed the front desk on my way up back to the room, they told me that they know it (with very little empathy and service orientation)

The rooms are spacious-237 sqf, the bathroom is huge ( we had superior rooms) at 13 th floor with fantastic views. It’s location couldn’t be better as 4 min walk to train station and 20 min walk from harbor where all the ferries and cruises dock. Plenty restaurants and tourist sites within walking distance ( eg. the Munch museum, Opera House etc). Staff are friendly. The most amazing thing is breakfast- — often causing headaches as you need to decide among hundreds of choices. High quality food though. The gym is classy and of high quality. Didn’t use sauna nor pool. The hotel stores your luggage free if you get there too early.

The lobby is always full of people and looks too busy as if some important events are going on. Luckily we didn’t plan to stay or sleep at the lobby.

The beds are comfortable. Nice rooms and superb location. Good breakfast

I had to go to reception and change rooms 3 times, I booked a room for three people that includes a sofa like in the pictures. And each time I got a room that was enough for 2 people and there was no bed for the third person. In addition, when you book a room for three people, you expect that everything was already ready, including the third bed, and this was not the case. I had to argue at the reception and was told that I received a free upgrade when I arrived in this room. It was the same room I ordered as in the pictures and not what I got each time

The room that I was in was very nice and the bed was very comfortable. My bed was on the softer side, which was okay with me. The location is great, it’s near lots of public transportation, including the Central Station, as well as many tourist attractions and restaurants/bars.

There isn’t really anything wrong with the property, it was a nice place to stay. The booking.com listing only mentioned that check-in was from Noon-8pm, which is true for front-desk check-in, however, there’s also self check-in that’s available outside these hours, which was easy to use.

My stay at the hotel was an absolute delight. The combination of an outstanding breakfast experience and an incredibly friendly and helpful staff made this hotel truly exceptional. I cannot recommend it highly enough to anyone seeking a memorable and enjoyable stay. Whether for business or leisure, The Hub is undoubtedly the perfect choice for an exceptional hotel experience.

While my overall experience at [Hotel Name] was exceptional, I must admit that the gym facilities fell short of my expectations. Firstly, the gym equipment was limited for the range of exercises available. Secondly, the gym space itself was quite small and felt cramped, making it challenging to have a comfortable workout experience. Lastly, the absence of dedicated staff or trainers in the gym made it difficult to seek assistance or guidance when needed.
