Comfort Hotel Kristiansand

The staff was very friendly. My expectation from the hotel and the room were on spot, because the pictures and description of the room were realistic. Room was clean, any request was taken serious and the breakfast was great,

The rooms (neighbours) are pretty noisy, even when it's a simple sound like unplugging the phonecharger from the wall. Also the desk wasn't back-friendly. I was travelling for work and had to do some work on my laptop. After sitting for an hour, my back started to hurt because of the position I had to take.

Parking house around the corner. Fast check-in. Great staff, nice room, good breakfast. Good start to explore the center of Kristiansand. I recommend a long hike through Odderoya which offers great views over the sea and isles, beside beacons and bunkers. The Kanonmuseum is some kilometers outside of Kristiansand and offers also some longer walks beside the visit of the big gun.

A generous offer would be to have the option to make some tea or coffee (just instant) at night - or at least have it against a small fee. The prices for buying coffee to fill up a termos at breakfast were so high even for Norwegian standards. Otherwise a good place to stay and very centrally located!

Location was perfect being close to the railway station and to the ferry terminal. It was also close to a good choice of restaurants. Early breakfast (from 05:30) was great as it allowed us heaps of time to catch the early ferry. Room was spacious. Would definitely stay here again!

Our room was a long hike from reception, but good exercise!

Good breakfast, nice friendly staff, great location, parking available on opposite side of street with good guidance, room was very baby safe and friendly (we could let our 11 mo baby play around)

Bed was not comfortable, laid through and too soft, no free parking and no hotel parking but there's no space for that. Room was too small for crib, baby buggy and luggage so that we had to okay a bit of Tetris during our stay. Poor view in our room (to a court which connected it to all other rooms making it uncomfortable to sleep at open windows which we avoided)

Breakfast is good, room is ok, however cold floors in the bathroom and slightly dirty floor with some rubbish and food from previous guests under the bed (when we moved the bed) - but this is probably something which is difficult to move and clean for a cleaning lady. Location is good and staff is very helpful and polite. We could get extra bed-cloth, toilet paper, towels, even some place in the fridge at reception for milk for children. It was comfortable for our family with (many) small children to stay in the hotel.

No discounts for (permanent) guests with second-third booking. No tea-kettle and fridge in the room. Not possible to switch off ventilation (that was slightly cold for children) and to get fresh air solely from opening a window.

Location is perfect. Especially if you are catching the ferry or want to explore kristiansand

At breakfast time, my empty plate was taken which is good however, as I was on my own, I lost my seat twice.

The receptionists were excellent - genuinely friendly without being excessive, not at all artificial. The cleaning staff we met in the corridors had a sense of humour. The bacon is certainly exceptionally well selected and cooked to perfection! How do you find watermelon that are so red and so sweet? - someone knows what they are looking for!

I like having a window that looks out but ours looked into a internal atrium - there was a stunning moon which we saw while outside, not from the window - but the answer was to go outside - so I'm not complaining.

We arrived rather late but were greated politely and competently. The rooms were spacious and we were given an upgrade because we did not get adjoining rooms. The early breakfast was great because we had to be at the ferry port by 7am. Free parking right across from the hotel also helped the weary travellers.

We would have preferred to have rooms next to each other.

Excellent breakfast, terrific location. We wanted another room, thought I had ordered twin beds. The receptionist was very helpful, it was no problem at all to change rooms.
