Hotel Simple

Wow I liked everything. The classic decor and color scheme. The receptionist (Spanish lady) and the nice guy servicing the rooms. I love the linen, bathtub, the nice Nespresso coffee machine with coffee capsules. There was really nothing which I didn't like. I even love all the bathroom necessities and of cause the lovely, lovely smell in the room and the lemon/citrus flavour of the shower gel. This hotel was also close by everything. Walking all over town and the touristic places was all walking distance. This is tar from Simple...it is totally the opposite.

Absolutely nothing... Maybe only the small fridge which wasn't working or making the water cold, but surely this is easy to fix or to replace. A suggestion for the feature to sell breakfast and good coffee in the morning.

Great location and room decor and amenities! I'm not sure if we were upgraded or not but we loved our room with a loft feel (sloped ceiling) and excellent view of cathedral. Loved using the romantic tub inside the room; to note, the shower/toilet is very much "inside" the room like a studio so don't let that weird you out. We were pleasantly surprised to see a yoga mat provided in the room which I think more hotels should offer. The decor of this restaurant/hotel is very elegant.

The elevator is a glorified construction lift which feels funky and scary at first but I'm sure is completely safe and maintained.

Amazing stay in the executive room, with view at the Dom church, midtown Utrecht. The room had all the facilities we wanted and was cosy and comfortable. The roof terrace is excellent for late summer nights. All the good restaurants are at walking distance (tip: Ruby Rose, early reservation is necessary). The bad tube was amazing, and gives you a view at the Dom church and Dom tower.

I changed the date for the reservation. However, something went wrong. I called the hotel, but they couldn't do anything for me. The receptionist was not helpfully and understanding. On the other hand, the Helpdesk of booking.com was really friendly and helpful and solved the problem.

I really like the hotel, huge space, nicely decorated and lots of sunlight. I did not even need to turn the light on till 10pm. My room is at the backside, very quiet. The room has everything I need, and it even has a yoga mat in the room. When I arrived, they were shooting a film there, fun experience.

Nothing really. Only thing was that on the first night, I heard some noise at mid-night by my neighbours, but I think it was because of the movie shooting. The 2nd and 3rd nights were very quiet.

What an absolutely gorgeous hotel with bags of character in a really central but quiet location just next to the cathedral. Check in was effortless, the room plush and luxurious. I didn't want to leave and will certainly be back!!

I didn't realise they were electric blinds on the windows until the morning. Everything is so well labelled, so just add a little card telling guests the blinds are there (especially as the sun was shining from the behind the curtains at 5am). This is only a minor imperfection though.

Amazing location , lovely room with big windows nice view. Delicious shampoo toiletries to enjoy the bath . Great towels and sheet quality

It’s nice to have coffee machine but there was no milk so no glory.. I ended up going out for coffee instead but I would’ve stayed in if there was milk. No breakfast was offered.. restaurant closed 😞I could hear the people upstairs coming home as I was trying to fall asleep they made coffee I think the machine is really loud. I’m a super light sleeper so hearing people walking around at night kept me up and they woke me up in the morning when I was again trying to sleep in. Also would be nice to have acces to some snacks .. especially since no breakfast or restaurant was able to offer anything

absolutely amazing staff, stunning rooms, luxurious. the cleaning staff had left me a lovely note when they noticed I was ill, it was incredible. I'm saving that note:)

our corner attic room was not warming up, but maybe we weren't able to figure it out, cause my family members in other rooms had perfect warmth. breakfast at the hotel would have been nice, and my family struggled to self-service check in in the evening, but I think considering the standards and the market it was pretty good:)

Centrally located hotel within walking distance of everything. The room was extremely spacious, and had a nice view of the courtyard. Capsule coffee provided. Plenty of toiletries, including lotion, dental kits, nail files, etc.

The WiFi was weak and unreliable. Room was a bit dusty. Because of the dark interior, we always needed all the lights on, and it still was dim. Would have appreciated water glasses, and tissues.

The design, the comfort of the bed, the views, and the lighting of the room. And, of course, the amenities, as it's from a very cool Dutch brand! The hotel is also close to the best area of the city.

The lift is difficult to manage, as you have to press until you are on your floor, not always easy. The air con doesn't seem to be 100% functional, as it was very hot, and the air was not enough.

The room has a. I’ve feel. A l ot of light, nice layout a lot air moving through the suite. I love the balcony.

We couldn’t get the tv to work but that wasn’t a big deal. The only downside to our stay was that we could hear the noise on the street. people were were out on the street until 3 or 4 in the morning so it was hard to sleep.
