Breakfast was great. Superb view from our room. Staff very helpful indeed when we checked out

Had an absolutely dreadful experience with you before the visit, when paying. You were so unhelpful that I seriously thought about switching to another hotel. Also your IT doesn't seem very good - it took you ages to process our request for breakfast when we checked in.

Great location, next to a quiet marina but only 10 minutes walk from the tram which took you to the centre of Amsterdam. Amazing views from the room and lovely comfortable beds, best night's sleep I have had in a long time. Great size bathroom with a nice shower. The Bluetooth speaker in the room was very cool. The TV was nice and big and had English channels which was a good bonus. The hotel was decorated in a very modern way which was nice. There was a good bar/cafe downstairs. If you were happy to have only basic housekeeping, you could put a sign on the door and they would give you a voucher for a free drink as a reward. Luggage was stored for free when we arrived earlier than check in. Reception had a little cart where you could buy snacks and a few souvenirs. There were also little free treats at reception such as mints and water dispensers, and little chocolate eggs as we went at Easter. Staff were really helpful and friendly, and when there was a slight issue with our room we were given 2 free beers as a good-will gesture, which shows the standard of service. The hotel itself was very quiet and the rooms had plenty of storage space and useful items like a magnifying mirror and a hairdryer. We would definitely return here.

The room doors were quite heavy so you could sometimes hear them slamming at night. There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room.

This is our 3rd niu visit in a year after Berlin and Vienna so we pretty much got what we expected. Staff was very nice and helpful, room was modern, clean and comfortable (we even had a fridge, I don't think the other nius had that), breakfast was good, and we had a great view at the docks from our room. They have bikes to rent, unfortunately we couldn't use it because of the weather, but there is the possibility.

It takes around 30 minutes to reach the center by public transport - it wasn't an issue for us, but it should be taken into consideration. Breakfast was a little crowded, they had to make a strict schedule, but everything was refilled quickly, so it was fine in the end.

We really liked this hotel. The breakfast buffet was extensive, fresh and tasty. The facilites were very modern and green. The neighborhood was very safe and the nearby harbor was lovely. The shower worked great. Elevators in the building were fast. We were able to skip the room cleaning and receive one beverage coupon each day.

Although the breakfast was good, the downside was that some days I did not really want that much food and there were no other options that were close by. Uber ride into town and back was not cheap, so we learned to stay in town all day through dinner time to reduce the ride costs. Lighting in the room was minimal. Coffee maker in the room was broken.

The hotel was clean and tidy. The room was large and had lovely large windows. We used the offer of not having your room cleaned in return for free drinks - we got a couple of soft drinks which would've been 3.50 Euro.

The location really isn't great. It's so far out of town that you feel unable to pop back during the day. We seemed to be constantly waiting for a bus or tram. I would've preferred to stay somewhere more central so that we were able to come back to the hotel during the day.

I can't say enough about the niu Fender. It had an intimate feel. EVERYONE was friendly and helpful. We actually found ourselves in ISTANBUL the first night (surprise!) because of airline woes leaving the States, and missed our first night, but they held our rooms ❤️ The building and our rooms were beautiful and clean. We LOVED being on the canal and having a bird's eye view of it. The two outdoor restaurants located behind the niu Fender on the canal were excellent with a wonderful ambience. We spent a lot of time in Centrum during our stay in Amsterdam, but the Oost District, where the Niu Fender is located, was a welcome escape from the energetic city center. We rented bikes for our stay. You can rent them from the niu Fender (but make a reservation ahead of time) or go to a shop about a mile away. Within a mile we rode to great food, coffee, and a fantastic gym to start our day, then biked to and around Centrum along with everyone else! What a great way to experience Amsterdam; like the locals. And the niu Fender is close enough to it all. Thank you, niu Fender. We'll be back!

this is a great place for those who know a little bit about how to get around amsterdam. two main tram lines are a short walk (like 5-7 minutes). the area the hotel is at is one of the up and coming upper middle class areas of the city and there are some fun upmarket cafes nearby. the rooms are HUGE by amsterdam city standards and clean and super quiet! I will def be back to this location as this is what i want in a hotel. this hotel also was the first i have ever seen to offer a free drink if you elect to not have your room cleaned.... brilliant!

there is no way to get into the hotel without going up some crazy stairs; this was a bit of a problem for my mom who is a bit older. there is some crazy wind tunnel at the entrance of the hotel as well, which not much could be done about but it nearly knocks you over - even when it seems there is little to no wind in the city.

Location perfect, need to re-access the directions from the nearest station - there was a different bus available N22(?) from Mollukenstraat, which one uses to Centraal Station. Whereas the Flevopark tram is the route Bookings.com described! Spacious rooms with good bathroom layout

Would have liked two rooms with harbour views - stunning evening vistas - charged for early arrival and use of room which was available - after 27 hours of travelling takes the cake! Only hotel to charge this of the 5 where we arrived slightly before 15h00!

I had an incredible double aspect room overlooking the water. From my room I could see both the sunrise and the sunset! Couldn’t have asked for a better room. The facilities in the room were also great. The location was brilliant for cycling into the city - the cycle route was along the water the whole way.

When I had the room serviced, they did not give me more coffee pods, however I was able to get more from the front desk. They also did not replace the mugs so I had to wash them in the sink during my stay. While I really enjoyed my stay, the front desk seemed a little chaotic, but I was always able to get what I needed. I was excited by the free drink idea when you skip the room cleaning, but I was disappointed to learn that you can only trade in the voucher for an alcohol free beer or a juice - alcohol, coffee, and other soft drinks were not included.

Nice, quiet rooms and nice area. Public transport is close enough. Friendly stuff.
