The Dwarika's Hotel

We recently had the extraordinary pleasure of returning to Dwarika's Hotel Dhulikel for the second time, and we can hardly find words to express just how incredibly wonderful our experience was. From the very first interaction, we felt like a part of their family royalty. The staff's warmth and genuine desire to make every aspect of our stay perfect was simply heartwarming. Their kindness, attention to detail, and willingness to make every moment special made us feel like cherished guests. Every corner is adorned with thoughtful details that reflect a deep commitment to providing an exceptional experience. Having traveled to more than 30 countries and experienced luxury accommodations from renowned brands like Jumeirah, Hilton, and Six Senses, we can confidently say that Dwarika's Hotel Dhulikel outshines them all. It's not just about opulence and luxury, although those elements are certainly present. The true magic lies in the personal and sincere experience they provide.

The staff is absolutely incredible here - genuinely happy to help you and make your stay as enjoyable as possible. I really loved getting to know everyone throughout my stay - and they were constantly going above and beyond to make it memorable for us. In addition, the food was incredible no matter where we ate. Loved the breakfast buffet, having lunch in the outdoor courtyard and treating ourselves to a 9-course dinner in the specialty restaurant onsite. Overall, could not recommend this place more highly.

Wish we could stay longer!

This place is a gem and a must stay if you’re in Kathmandu! Loved the atmosphere here, we ended up staying here twice during our stay in Nepal because we loved it so much! The staff were extremely helpful, polite, and professional. The courtyard has such a tranquil vibe, sitting and walking in the courtyard brought such peace, and its up kept so well. The food was fresh, delicious, and fairly priced. I loved that in the evening we always got a few delicious chocolates sent to our room. Loved waking up here and having breakfast in the courtyard, you can truly rest and relax here. If I were to come to Kathmandu again, this is the only place I’d stay! Just absolutely loved all the details and every part of our stay here at Dwarika! The kindest and most genuine staff are always around to help if you need anything, we felt so welcomed here and felt sad to leave!

Nothing- everything was perfect!

absolutely beautiful property, amazing staff, very stylish room…. great facilities eg. amazing massages. great breakfast! The restaurants on property was spot on with service and food quality. especially the lovely little Japanese restaurant… attentive and honestly executed. was most pleasant after days of curries and rich dishes… a nice light Japanese meal was just what the doctor ordered!!

I have zero complaints

beautiful place, attentive staff, lovely amenities in the room and around the hotel, good food! The free rooftop yoga class in the morning was a highlight.

Some of the double rooms have two single beds pushed together, which I find isn’t as comfortable as a double mattress. I’m sure you could request a room ahead of time which doesn’t have this. I was a little sad to find out the pool isn’t heated, but you wouldn’t need it for the hotter months.

Great place to get away from the bustle and smog of the city. Great food and drinks and good service. Nice gym, great pool, good massages. All around lovely people work there. Sometimes the service could be a bit faster, especially by the pool and the courtyard. You have to plan 1.5h when you want to eat something.

There are many hotels in Kathmandu, but only one Dwarika. It’s not just a beautiful and very good hotel, it is an oasis for the soul. It’s an immersion into Newari Architecture Style. It’s a perfectly decorated hotel, not too much, not too little. Staff is great and they know their job. I loved m’y stay at Dwarika’s.

A secret oasis behind beautiful wooden doors. A calming retreat from the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu. Nothing too much trouble for all staff members. Our room no 406 was total luxury. We would have liked to have stayed longer.

Maybe a little more sun round the pool area

Dwarika hotel is an experiance in itself. Each and every thing is lovingly restored and taken care of. The housekeeping was excellent. We were given a short tour by one of the staff members and it was wonderful. The spa was good as well. Loved the Japanese restaurant.

Wish the staff serving us at breakfast had given us the complete menu. Out of the 3 days of our stay we could enjoy the Complete menu only on our last day as they forgot to give us the order menu which was quite nice!

OMG, best hotel ever. I've travelled the world and this is my favorite. Excellent room, caring staff. they got yo know us so quickly and took such great care of us!

I did change rooms after the first night, as the first one was a little dark. omg, they hooked us up with awesome rooms in the 200 numbers....
