Our stay at The Weinberg was fantastic. On both occasions, we were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a Urban Pods Villa — truly outstanding accommodation, complete with a private pool and a wonderful view over Windhoek. The rooms are elegantly furnished, creating an immediate sense of being at home. All of the restaurants serve excellent food, with something to suit every taste. That alone would make The Weinberg the number one choice in Windhoek — but none of it would mean as much without the exceptional staff! Every single member of the team was incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful, all united by one goal: to make the guest’s stay as pleasant as possible. And for me, that means one thing: whenever I’m back in Windhoek, there’s no question where I’ll be staying — it can only be The Weinberg.

Our stay at The Weinberg Windhoek was a truly delightful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by warm, friendly and attentive staff. The rooms were spacious, tastefully decorated, and very comfortable – perfect for unwinding after a day of travel. Every detail was well thought out, and the overall atmosphere was elegant and welcoming. One of the highlights of the hotel was the beautiful library – a charming spot to relax with a book or simply enjoy the ambiance. Breakfast each morning was delicious and varied, and the food and views at the Sky Bar were equally impressive. We would highly recommend The Weinberg to anyone visiting Windhoek – a place where comfort, service, and style come together perfectly.

Room was lovely and facilities great. Thought the airport driver was excellent as were the reception staff who were on on the Friday morning.

My views on staff are quite mixed. I requested a taxi booking in advance to the airport. When I arrived after having an email that it was confirmed it had not been booked. It was then not in their book to let the hotel driver know. The morning staff had a little bit of a scramble to sort it out. The reception team also on the previous evening were very slow in printing off my boarding pass. I requested it late afternoon and to return to the front desk to chase 2-3 hours later.

We had a great stay overall. The breakfast was lovely, the rooftop was great and the staff were warm, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. It was a comfortable and pleasant experience from start to finish.

The only downside was that another couple was mistakenly given keys to our room and entered without warning. Thankfully, we were in the room at the time and it was clearly an honest error, but in other circumstances, especially with valuables left inside, this could’ve been a more serious issue. Also, there’s no pool on-site — you can access a nearby spa facility with a pool for an extra charge.

We stayed here twice, at the beginning of our trip and on the way home. It is a lovely hotel -- very comfortable with friendly and helpful staff. The staff were particularly good about helping to track down some luggage that had been delayed in transit from Johannesburg to Windhoek and ensuring that it was delivered to the hotel before we set off on our road trip the following morning. We very much appreciated their support.

Four restaurants from which to choose. Italian restaurant had delicious, affordable dishes that were served quickly. We were in loft room that was spacious, but involved walking up & down between living room & bedroom/ bathroom. Porter told us that they had complimentary shuttle to take people downtown for shopping, etc.; we didn’t have time to use this service although it was nice to have it available.

Nothing

We loved our room. The friendly and helpful staff made us feel very welcome. We also did not have to move off-site for dinner as there were a choice of restaurants in and around the hotel. We had to leave early the next morning and would not have been able to enjoy breakfast at the hotel, they insisted to offer us a nice takeaway breakfast which was appreciated.

We were a bit troubled by the patrolling security personnel brandishing automatic weapons. Perhaps that was due to visiting dignitaries from other countries staying at the hotel who came to attend the funeral of Namibian State president a day or what after we left. Probably to be expected at an hotel of this quality.

Beautiful rooms Concerned and very helpful staff

The beautiful rooms are missing the soft touches Eg. I had to go hunting for the bottled water in a small out of the way refrigerator despite widespread glasses in appropriate places. Loft apartments are gorgeous but getting a suitcase up and down the spiral stairs to the sleeping area isn’t easy. I had to go back down to the little refrigerator to get bottled water. So gorgeous but needs a little more thought by whomever is in charge of the rooms.

I prefer to have business package for our company, which can include breakfast and dinner but has discount. And then I will suggest all my colleagues to stay here. I dislike less safety environment and noise fair, but luckily there are no this happened during my stay in the hotel. Please keep it and do some discount for me.
