Jumbo Hotel

We had a very big room, actually we had an apartment, it was much more than expected! Breakfast was very good, with lots of choices for every category. They have a garage, and outside parking, and the location it's next to a very big park! So if you come with kids, it is an excellent location! The staff is great, they speak Romanian, English and Russian. You can pay with the credit card, no need of local currency. Highly recommended!

It is not located in the city center, but it is not something i didn't like, it's something that i chose!

Everything was great about this hotel. Loved their system of including both breakfast and dinner with the room rate, and the hours for breakfast and dinner were long to accommodate all types of schedules. The restaurant staff, the front desk girl, and the cleaning staff were all very capable and hard working, doing a great job. Vlad was awesome! Big room, cleaned nicely everyday, nice location, smooth airport transfer provided by the hotel. Everything was goo, will be back for sure.

The room was very large with a super king size bed,tea & coffee,mini bar ,hairdryer, bath robes/slippers and toiletries. The breakfast was a continental buffet type and was enjoyable. We only had the evening meal on two occasions as we were out and about most nights but again as it was off season it was buffet style and enjoyable. The hotel is 2/3 miles from the city centre but is on the main trolley bus route and the buses are every ten minutes. The trolley buses numbers 1,4, and 8 from outside the hotel will take you direct to the city centre for two Moldovan Leu (10 Pence) and you pay the conductor on the bus. The local parks are great to visit and and at weekends the locals meet there to dance in the afternoons,well worth seeing. There are plenty of good restaurants throughout the city and I recommend the Taxi Blues direct;y across from the hotel is very good and open 24/7. The hotel staff are very professional and helpful, they pre-booked our airport taxi's, costing only 10 Euros each way.The general public are very friendly and helpful always willing to give you directions. The complementary large bottle of water each day was a good touch.

Although the location is 2/3 miles from the city centre, it is on a main transport route with trolley buses every ten minutes.

Friendly staff, very good value, spacious room, opposite park and lake, good transport links to city.

A very nice hotel. The rooms are ok, they are rather quiet and with good soundproofing against the traffic. Then again we had a room on a high floor, not sure how those lower perform. Very nice staff at the hotel, very helpful. Great breakfast and dinner. Parking is sometimes tight but it is good to have it. Great price / quality ratio. The location is next to a big street, shops are walking distance, to the city center / old city you probably need a yandex taxi, as Uber is not available locally.

Nothing really. Some small things, i.e. the toilet was leaking some drops of water on the floor.

Location is a little bit far from center and it is terrible to manage the local taxi drivers in Moldova

Deluxe room was amazing - very big, everything clean. We had a halfboard - excellent buffet breakfast with large offer of food and lovely coffee, dinner was also very good (two days buffet,1 day a la carte - you can choose from the hotel menu 1 salad,1 main dish,1 dessert and beverage). Location is not bad but a bit far the city centre (but you can take a bus or taxi which are quite cheap in Moldova). All hotel staff (at the reception or in the restaurant) was friendly and very helpful.

Nice hotel, large comfortable room with excellent beds. Room was warm & bathroom facilities were very good, hot shower and water all day long. The WIFI worked great. The location is half an hours walk from the centre, but you can get a bus or taxi just outside the hotel for very little money. A supermarket and plenty of small shops are near by. The lady at checkin was brilliant and very helpful.

Parking area seems to be inadequate for the number of rooms / guests - in case of late arrival / check-in there could be be no parking lot available.

I booked a half-board deal at Hotel Jumbo and it turned out to be incredible value for money: I got a clean, spacious and very comfortable room with all amenities, a friendly welcome, abundant breakfast with excellent coffee plus very generous dinner at a superb rate. Highly recommended place.

Note the hotel is quite far from the downtown. However, there are frequent and very cheap trolleybuses (lines 1,4,8), so it's really a minor inconvenience.
