Casa Colonial Tulum

The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I had an issue with my room as it was nothing like the photos from what I booked and clearly wasn't a deluxe room as booked. I advised the staff and they changed my room the next day to something much more aligned to my expectations They helped carry my luggage and were on hand to answer any questions I had. I felt really safe staying there and would definitely go back. The location is super central and very close to the bus station and because it is on the main road it felt very safe too.

The wifi was really bad in the rooms which was a shame as I had emailed in advance to ask for a room with strong wifi (as I need it for work) and they said all rooms have strong wifi. This is not the case. It really only works in the communal areas which can be an issue if you have to make more private calls or meetings. Also the standards of the rooms are very different so it is worth checking you get a room aligned to what you booked.

clean, great location, daily housekeeping, affordable, pet friendly. kind staff. i forgot my wallet in the common areas and I could get it back at the reception.

shower is a bit tricky, you have to ask them how to regulate the temperature of the water. the pool was closed when I was there.

This boutique hotel is decorated with a great taste, the swimming pool is functional even if somehow not that appealing. The personal was really keen on giving us good advices about the things to visit in the area, we were able to jump directly on one of the bikes rented by the hotel to go visit the area. The rooms are spacious and functional, a bit more detail in the decoration there would have been apreciated as well as less see through curtains since the rooms give on corridors /patio. The price we paid through Booking for 3 nights was more than reasonnable. The hotel is perfectly situated next to the bus station close to many restaurant possibilities and the laundry next door is also super practical.

It is maybe only due to the time of our stay, or the fact that the hotel just reopened but some rooms were still in work, taking the lively effect of the place ,but we didnt stay enough in the hotel to be able to judge as well.

Great room, the front desk were very helpful in making reservations ahead of us arriving for dinner over Christmas. The room was cleaned daily with fresh towels.

The restaurant downstairs did have events during the evening that could be heard in the room (singers, etc) which may have been unique to the time of year (we went over Christmas).

They were so nice and wanted us to upgrade, but the better room was directly next to the main road, so we took the normal room, which was in the back. The hotel is in the center, walking distance from the bus station. Next door is a very good pizzeria. The room was clean and big.

Loved the courtyard with a slow steady consistent breeze. The staff was absolutely fabulous. Room is simple, hot without an air conditioner, but a great value for the money.

No food or drink available on premise.

each room seemed to have a unique feel. great that it has a pool and bicycle hire. staff were amazing! very friendly and helpful. especially at reception!

lost power a couple times, less than 10 minutes each time. more of a Tulum Centro thing, not the hotel’s fault.
