Grand Fifty Suites

Great place, comfortable appartaments with all the necessary amenities. Although it was the first time in our travels, that the room was literally overlooking the wall. So no view at all. But not all of the rooms are like that. Still there was a lovely view from the rooftop pool. Everything was cleaned on the daily basis and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Also not a problem to communicate in English which is not obvious in Mexico, as we found out. One of the best features of the hotel is it's location, almost directly on the Quinta Avenida, and yet in a quiet neigbourhood. Lot's of restaurants and shopping possibilties in the area, nice beaches (8th Beach or Punta Esmeralda) are just a short walk away. Altogether we loved the experience and I would recommend this place to all who like to stay in a comfortable and well kept hotel and yet experience the city life.

The location was great and right at 5th avenue. the view from the rooftop pool is amazing. Its great to sit there in the morning also to enjoy breakfast. Esperanza from the front desk was super helpful and nice!

They didn’t give me the room I booked the first night when I arrived. I booked an apartement with 2 bedrooms but they give me a simple double room and couldn’t fix that the first night what was pretty disappointing and we had to move the next day to the room I actually booked. That should NOT happen!

location, price, cleanliness, room size, comfort, pool, breakfast. everything was great except for the payment issue when I checked in which you can read the details below.

initial issue with them not wanting to charge my credit card I used through booking and wanting me to pay cash instead. if I hadn’t checked with them sooner about this issue in person (I was already staying at a different hotel nearby) I would have had to pay a fee to take out money of an ATM and paid more in pesos instead of dollars. in the end they finally charged my original card (even though they initially said they couldn’t) but they still charged me in pesos which was more expensive than the dollar value I was quoted on booking but by then I didn’t care cause I needed a room. just be aware of this issue and make sure they can accept your card before you arrive or else bring enough dollars in cash to pay in person

Roof top pool Staff super freindly

We were on the main floor in room PB1 a 2 bedroom unit. The bedroom walls did not go to the ceiling so could hear every noise from the other room. As well a/c was located in other bedroom so hard to cool down whole place without person in 1 bedroom freezing so other room could be cool. We. Needed to keep ceiling fans on and ac running in afternoon to get place cool before bed time.

Location was perfect, right off the main strip but also next to the real neighborhood. Pool isn’t huge but is totally as delightful as the pictures imply.

The breakfast. Frosted Flakes, white toast with no butter, and mediocre watermelon for 7 days straight. Really disappointing. Also, the beach is pretty small and dirty with seaweed. Make every effort to swim in the spectacular Cenotes in the region.

They will also help you throughout your stay to book the best activities you can find in playa del carmen, cancun, tulum and more. A big thanks especially to Andros, we definitely recommand the stay in Grand Fifty Suites, and would revisit any time. Rooms are spatious and have everything you need, kitchen, fridge, television screen, phone, air conditioning, .. Beds are really comfortable, you basically sleep like a baby. Rooms are cleaned on a evryday basis. It definitely was an amazing stay. Thank you from CLAUDIO and ANGELO, see you anytime soon.

If ur booking with carribean paradise dont do it they won't help you with the AC IF BROKEN. But grand fifty suites this place is great the best of the best AC on point and helpful very helpful in this heat and customer service is excellent and helpful. DO NOT BOOK WITH CARRIBEAN PARADISE FAIR WARNING thats a hotel on that same strip they are the worst. Grand fifty is the best choice u have if u want to sleep 💤 and enjoy the AC their AC actually works and cools rapidly.

Nothing negative amazing hotel

the rooms are very spacious, l told all rooms have kitchen which is veeeery convenient for families with kids , regular size fridge where you can save your left overs for next day and the best of the best was the ladies on the roof cooking delicious breakfast on point , that is the cherry on top those chilaquiles and ham and eggs still on my mind. star super friendly and the lady on the front desk super helpful about shearing info about the city.

the parking is a little tide but very safe.

Staff was great. Breakfast included. Located in a quiet part of town, not on the main strip. Close to beach. Parking lot on site.

Pool was closed most of our stay due to repairs. We had multiple power outages due to daily storms (not the hotels fault, but I expected a back up generator). Internet service was poor at this location. We like to bring a streaming stick and it was disrupted many times due to poor internet.
