Casa Mexicana Cozumel

Gamma is amazing. He took care of us late in day on Christmas. The hotel I stayed at flooded. He carried my 2 heavy suitcases up the stairs after checking me in. The escalator was broken..He was professional and composed. Highest remairks and rating for Gamma! Best beds in town!

Noise coming up in atrium 6 am preparing breakfast. Good thing I brought earplugs!

I have visited Cozumel via cruise ships for the purpose of diving. I decided to fly and stay in Cozumel for some diving specialty courses. I brought my wife to Mexico for the first time and she loved Cozumel and this hotel. She's happy and so am I. The breakfast is the best I ever had staying at a hotel. The location is great too. We could walk to many of the reasonably priced restaurants. The ocean view was inspiring. The hotel made every effort on maintenance and appearance of the hotel. I look forward to staying at this hotel again.

Clean, comfortable, with good AC and a nice breakfast. Close to the main area of town, but quiet enough to get a good night’s rest. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Would have been nice to have a bigger pool and/or common lounge area.

They are still doing covid precautions at breakfast buffet instead of serve yourself. Hard to practice portion control when a server slops a big serving spoonful of this or that onto your plate. Slows everything down with breakfast staff having to go from one serving station to another. And while your eggs are being prepared all your other hot stuff is getting cold. Running out of stuff on the breakfast buffet. Staff seemed a bit stressed out. We were in a bad zone for their wi-fi network, I have stayed before when the wi-fi was pretty good.

Our first stay at this lovely hotel though we had enjoyed their amazing breakfast on a prior visit. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the room was cleaned thoroughly and towels changed daily even when we were happy to reuse. All the staff were wonderful, particularly Vincente and Cinthia and couldn't do enough for us, a very personal touch. The pool veranda is small and welcoming with an excellent bar and sea view. The breakfast is excellent with lots of choice and omelette and waffle station cooked to order. The only minor improvements that would make it perfect is a small coffee machine or kettle in the room so we could make a hot drink. Otherwise the room is well equipped with safe, hairdryer, iron and fridge. A wonderful hotel and reasonably priced for the facilities and standard of service on offer. We were sad to leave! We will definitely want to stay again!

As above, the addition of a coffee machine or kettle in the room to make a hot drink would make it perfect but otherwise we could not fault it.

The staff were very nice, professional, and helpful. I cannot say, enough about how they treat their guests. The front desk staff, housekeeping, those serving breakfast were all very good. The facility was extremely clean, you always saw the staff cleaning, wiping things down or mopping. My room was cleaned daily, fresh everything. The breakfast was fantastic every morning.

When I first walked into the building, and took the escalator upstairs to the hotel. It smelled kinda old or mildew odor. However, by the time I got off the escalator and headed towards the front desk, the smell was gone. Nor, do I recall smelling it maybe one other time during seven days there.

the highlight of the hotel is its location, walking distance from ferry, with taxi stop in front and all restaurants / bars that were recommended to me were walking distance too. the staff was very nice and the rooms are huge, with comfy beds. the building has great potential if changed a bit the facade - increasing the views from the outdoor area for example and opening up the central courtyard. but overall it’s very nice , especially the central space

bathroom - shower room is curtain which bothers me a bit. also I think the facilities are basic for what you pay - pool is a kids pool almost and definitely under sized for the amount of guests - but end up that you pay for the location. they only had one bike working at the time of my stay which was barely available. with the cycle path in front of the hotel to the left, it’s a shame

The location is awesome. Everything is within walking distance. Breakfasts were served on a terrace facing the sea. Before the breakfast we swam in the sea right in front of the hotel and then ate on the terrace watching the skies over the sea, it was a great feeling. Rooms have a balcony. We lived on the fifth floor and had a city view, which we did not regret at all. The skyline was like a continuation of the room and we didn’t want to close it with the curtains. Rooms were cleaned every day. New towels – every day. AC was quiet and powerful. Overall, we liked our stay at Casa Mexicana.

Casa Mexicana is located in the heart of Cozumel's downtown area, and close to restaurants, shops, and other amenities. The oceanfront setting provides great views of boats coming and going in the port area. The rooms are clean, and the facility is well maintained. Case Mexicana has a group of very friendly and well trained staff. The complimentary breakfast buffet is outstanding, and a great way to start the day. Thanks, Casa Mexicana!

The location of Casa Mexicana was excellent, walking distance to shops, bars and restaurants, and 5 min walk to the ferry port. The pool area was great, with fantastic views and the pictures really didn't do it justice. The breakfast team were great, they were attentive, friendly and couldn't do enough to make sure you were happy. The hotel in general, and our room was spotless and immaculately clean. Overall, we would give the hotel 10/10.

Wifi was very sketchy. The reception team was not very friendly and on the couple of occasions, we asked for help/advice re the area, they were not very helpful or friendly. The hotel didn't have any recommendations or literature on local tours, beaches, restaurants etc - that would be very beneficial for guests.
