Avela Boutique Hotel

I loved the staff and the place was so beautiful. The chef and staff were always so sweet. The food at the restaurant was so good. I would come back. The staff was attentive and the pools were beautiful.

I loved every aspect of my stay at the hotel. From the moment I walked in, the staff greeted me warmly and made me feel incredibly welcome. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and impeccably clean, providing a comfortable haven throughout my stay.

The location is a little outside the busy downtown but 15-minute walk or 5-minute golf ride away. It's quiet in the night which I appreciated. The pool is beautiful. The staff are wonderful. Kit was a delight. She was so attentive and kind. Other staff were great as well, super accommodating. The Breakfast provided is light, no buffet. It was fine for us as we didn't eat much in the morning anyway, enough to get you going for the day. We had a wonderful time.

The pool was amazing! incredible atmosphere, and water temperature was just right! The food was super tasty and good portions. They offer day pass if you want to enjoy a quiet place to sunbath after surfing.

There was a power outage in the city, so we didn't have power at all during one of our nights, this means no AC, and somehow it felt a bit unsafe to look outside. This is an ongoing situation with the town of Sayulita, so Perhaps a power generator would help?

The hotel is new, clean and comfy. The rooms are simple yet cozy. I liked the minimalistic chic decoration. The bed was big and we slept well. However it’s a little remote from the main life of the town and not the best place to meet people and access restaurants and more importantly the beach. Plus it was a little pricey. Breakfast was not included. The Mexican girl at the reception was wonderful though and very welcoming!

The hotel is very modern and clean. It has a wonderful natural salt pool which was quiet and refreshing. We enjoyed that the hotel was a 10 min walk into town as we like to walk off our meals and it felt safe. The room was large and the bed was very comfortable and huge! The shower, air con and fan worked perfectly!

It was a shame the balconies couldn't be used as no furniture on them. Noise did travel when people were outside which was a problem on one of the nights. I did have to request to be quiet as it was around 3am and we had an early start that morning. The other nights it was perfectly OK and it was great that you couldn't hear other people in their rooms.

The owners are super sweet. They make everything so that you feel confortable. I ll come back.

The Internet is a bit weak during some time of the day. Said that, it's an issue in most places if not large cities.

Beautiful rooms surrounding the pool, spa, and restaurant common areas. The hotel is about a quarter mile from downtown so you can escape to peace and quiet when you’ve had enough of the excitement of Sayulita. You can rent a golf cart from the hotel if walking up and down the hill is difficult for anyone in your party. We loved gathering the family together for breakfast at the restaurant before setting off for the day. The kitchen also cooked up a custom meal for us with fish we’d caught.

All of the food was excellent and they offered exactly the right selections for any part of the day. All made to order and pleasantly presented! Staff was fantastic and helpful with anything you needed or a quick ride into town (when I needed to transfer to a new hotel due to a prior booking). Really a pleasant surprise all the way around at Avela. It’s a simple yet elegant boutique hotel that does the important things (friendly staff/good food/great service/comfy beds/very clean/quality towels) properly. The walk to town is quick and enjoyed finding new little things along the way. If the things I’ve listed are what’s important to you, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay at Avela! Even if for half your time and try another place for the other half… I would absolutely return!

It was beautiful and very quiet. The staff was extremely helpful, especially Nahu! Coffee from the little restaurant was delicious and convenient. Bed was very comfortable. Rooms were clean and spacious and the pool was very refreshing.

This isn’t a downside for us, but just wanted to note that it’s about a 10-15 min walk to the main part of town and walking back is uphill. But it was perfect for us since it was away from the noise, which we heard can be disruptive and we don’t mind walking.

The hotel sits just above the town but is in walking distance which is really nice to give you some quiet chill time away from the hustle and bustle. The hotel is designed really well with the pool in the middle. Staff are very friendly.

The bed sheets aren’t that soft and a few details are missing, like bedside lights.
