This hotel exceeded our expectations. We loved the location because we were able to walk to the Centro Historico easily during the day. This hotel is surrounded by restaurants. We visited this juicing place a few meters away in front of the hotel. We also got to try the food in La Chata and the service was great. The restaurant has a breakfast buffet for a very affordable price with a delicious variety. The service was excellent and everyone is so helpful. They also have a shuttle service and are able to book you a tour to the different places around Guadalajara (Tlaquepaque, Tequila, and Chapala).
Loved everything about it. I wish I could have stayed longer.

Excellent location… easy to walk to many sites, restaurants, shopping etc. We enjoyed your swimming pool too. Staff was friendly. Whole facility was very clean. We felt very comfortable & safe at your lovely hotel. The rain head shower was awesome!
1. There was a strong mildew smell when we turned on the shower. 2. We were there during the week & we’re disappointed that the breakfast buffet was only on the weekends. 3. We were surprised that it was so expensive to stay here. We thought that at most, we’d be paying $75US total, per night.

The entire staff from the front desk to the bell men, concierge (Joel), housekeeping, restaurant and maintenance were exceptional. The decor inside the hotel is very beautiful. I spent four days at the hotel I needed to move a couple times because of air conditioning issues. The staff responded very quickly and moved me. my first room has no windows, was very quiet and was dark which was perfect because I had flown all night long and needed to take naps. The last night I was there I was in a room with a small balcony so had a fabulous view of the sunrise. I also heard loud music throughout the night which was fine because I had expected it. The location was fabulous within walking distance of the main attractions in the historic district.
there’s nothing I did not like about the property. I stay there again in a minute.

We loved the look of this beautiful old hotel and the location was great. We had an awesome room with a balcony. If someone is sensitive to noise, a front facing/balcony room isn't a good option. But we got a private concert each nice and fireworks so it was great. The breakfast was delicious and we were walking distance to anything we wanted to do in el Centro. We'll stay here again if we're lucky enough to return to GDL!
I wish there were more lounge chairs by the pool.

location, your bell hop Mario always a pleasure hearing him speak English.
wasn’t pleased with our first morning breakfast when the waiter couldn’t communicate with our order. we didnt like the mushy sauce & wieners that they pass as sausage. we were a little worried about other dishes on the menu. we also found that the pillow cases could be a little better & not so heavy. your bath towels could be a little softer & could use more lighting in bathroom. the coffee brand is too weak.

Lovely traditional setting with extremely helpful, attentive staff. The room I had was spacious, comfy.
While pictures of the room showed a desk that was missing, not great when having to work during the stay. While all staff really did their best, breakfast on week days (order by menu) was rather challenging. It was a struggle to get most things non-Mexican (like eggs without all the beans, salsa, tortilla stuff). Just not really catering for the European business traveller who really doesn't need excitements at the start of a busy work day. My 3rd attempt worked though... Weekend buffet breakfast is great, however.

The location was perfect for seeing all the amazing historic sights and it is a perfect launching point for adventures or relaxation. We did a food/historical tour that is a must do (booked through Airbnb). We also did a day trip to learn about tequila and the largest fresh water lake in Mexico. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay amazing. We felt safe explore the amazing city on our own. We will be returning in the future. Make sure you enjoy the roof top view.
People traveling to the area must realize the sewer system is old and not like the states. It wasn’t a problem for us but a helpful tip for travelers.

Only five minutes to walking from the big cathedral of Guadalajara. My feeliing at the old area was very safe and friendly. The old place in front of the cathedral was full of people, also on the late evening. The restaurants in the historical town of Guadalajara was also open and in a very clean constitution. The so beautiful and historical traditional hotel is a heart of cleanless and hospitality. This fine house is like a museum. I just can say: if somebody is coming to this big and interesting city; than stay some nights in this marevelous house.
There is realy nothing to say. Thank you so much for the short, but so friendly time. Best regards. Andreas

The historical building itself was excellent and it was great to walk around and see the different spots. The room was very comfortable with a very good shower and everything we needed. The pool was very nice and a good temperature. The restaurant was good and well priced with very friendly staff.
The gym was well equipped but unfortunately a bit too hot to be practical to use.

Jose Moreno assisted us with scheduling our city tours. They were excellent excursions with no complications. I will most definitely book a room at Hotel Morales again! Food was excellent, service was superv and exceptional.
Everything went well. I unfortunately had my cell phone stolen from my purse while on a day trip to Tonala. This was a very stressful experience. Bathroom door had a small entrance . Door would hit the wall as we opened it. As we enter bathroom we hit our bodies against the door if we were not careful.
