Solana Beach Mauritius - Adults Only

The location was good, and the meals and staff were good. The evening entertainment was good .

No water was available for tea or coffee in the room. This is the first hotel in all our travels that did not provide us with drinking water. Further, we had to pay R120 for a glass of water. Refer to our invoice. I'm very disappointed.

Beautiful resort right on the beach Loved the pool, view, free boat ride, pedalos and amazing snorkelling. Kind staff particularly Harsh the porter who made us laugh a lot. Left us lovely surprise for honeymoon in the room Nice daily activity schedules Breakfast plenty of choices We opted for bed and breakfast and found plenty of restaurants driving distance nearby. We wish we had more days to do more watersports. The stay was magical and we would really recommend

WiFi did not work in our room but worked well outside Fridge didn't work very well Plugs were limited but they were happy to provide an extension cable for us to borrow I read reviews in advance that drinks are expensive but we had bought water in advance and they did not take issue with this. Also the restaurant food seemed comparable to local restaurants in price so reasonable.

visiting this hotel alone is enough visit to Mauritius. there are tonnes of activities to do at the Boat House that you’ll forget to go to town. be ready to pay for some water activities if you want maximum fun (free ones aren’t that fun). our best experiences are the water activities we paid for. also there is a mall at Flacq not so far away (about 20min drive) called Super U. so if you rented a car do we’ll go visit there and remember to buy your own water at one of the road side stores as water is overpriced at the hotels also, pay for dinner and breakfast, you’ll love the buffet as there are tonnes of choices to select to eat. good too if you want lunch.

The food at the Cinnamone restaurant was sub-standard for me. Didn’t really enjoy it much gave them 3star hotel vibe. Also Ponjoo (hope I got the name right) the chef who did breakfast, she hardly ever smiled nor sirr if it was a language issue. But her seriousness and not smiling wasn’t very welcoming and it was intimidating.

The availability of water sports at the resort.We were able to do parasailing and underwater sea walking which we really liked.The food was delicious and the variety of cocktails available under All inclusive which is what we had.We were allowed to order off the All inclusive day time menu when we missed the buffet lunch while out on excursions which was great.The outside bathrooms were so convenient for a quick freshen up before heading to the airport since we had a late flight and had to check out at 11am already.PCR testing lab 15mins away from the resort which was fantastic.

We arrived at the resort 4 hours before check in and unfortunately couldn’t get early check in.The mini bar only had sodas,beer and water but no wine or sparkling wine.

The room was great with a spectacular view! We really enjoyed the snorkeling there. Tons of interesting fish to look at. We swam on the far end of the property, closer to the restaurants because the beach sand is softer with no corals to step on. We woke up early one morning and snorkeled off this side of the beach as it is easier to get in and we had a great time. Overall, staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The food was also really good with a nice variety for breakfast & dinner. We had dinner at the Pomelo restaurant one night and absolutely loved the food! It was both delicious and aesthetically pleasing :). Service was phenomenal! If you are planning to visit Solana Beach, do remember to take some beach shoes with.

I was a bit disappointed to see that they had taken down their picturesque swing that was overlooking the beach. Would have loved to have taken a great photo there. But otherwise very pleased with my stay.

I stayed in a lovely room with a view of the sea - I even got upgraded which was very kind of them but I believe all the rooms have sea views. Breakfast is very good especially the omelettes, bacon and fresh fruit. It’s not amazing but it’s very good. There are a couple of restaurants to choose from (buffet and a la carte) and the food is good. The staff is very friendly and try their best. Massage (I had the signature treatment) was really excellent. Highly recommended. There is also a gym, yoga mats and free to use water equipment which is excellent.

Water is not included and is very expensive: if you are coming from the airport, stop the taxi to get cash and buy water before coming to the hotel. Besides, water is sold in plastic bottles everywhere which is terrible. I wish the hotel has big water station for free refills. Ask the hotel to recommend you a place to swim. There is one place where you can enter water safely by the hotel - the rest of the beach is dead coral and lots of sea urchins. You need rubber shoes or ask for advice. The hotel staff should really be advising on this on arrival.

poor choice of food at their inside restaurant, everything is overpriced in this area . inside the rooms you have no sockets . only one , and even for their kettle which is in the room , you need an adapter !

Very good place. Free boathouse activities with verity of options. Very friendly staff and I would extend my thanks to Rita form restaurant, Arshad from reception, the whole entertainment team especially Mitacha and her sister. Also, Fernando and Dominico from boathouse and the housekeeping team.

The check-in process took a long time due to precautionary measures in the island. The most annoying thing is not providing free bottles of water. In addition to no many changes in food types during breakfast.

The people, everybody was making sure you are having the best trip of your life. The room was amazing, waking up, opening the door and walking out bare feet to sit and see the amazing view…They have different kind of restaurants, which is convinient.
