A luxurious experience blending tradition with slick contemporary lines at its finest. The facilities were excellent and the rooms clearly had a lot of thought put in when the owners renovated the property. Our room had a fabulous terrace with jacuzzi overlooking the basilica, which was wonderful to enjoy a continental breakfast and coffee. Central location close to everything in Valletta. Best of all were the staff - attentive, genuine and very patient - who really made us feel welcome and looked after, they are the main reason I would recommend a stay at Casa Ellul!

We stayed for a week and everything was wonderful

I will for sure stay again at Casa Ellul, and I highly recommend the property. It was my girlfriend's birthday and they surprised me with an amazing setup in the room the hotel is located right in the middle of Valletta, easy to reach by taxi or public transport. the Hotel organized for me a taxi transfer (in a very nice Mercedes) from and to the Airport. The suite was very big and quiet, the bed was comfortable and perfect for resting at the night. The front desk staff were literally amazing, they helped me with anything I asked, and even more. In the morning I ordered my breakfast in my suite, and it was absolutely perfect, pastries, cereals, cold cuts, cheese, and eggs.

As the staff is quite limited (maximum people we saw working at the same time were 2), sometimes we had to wait some minutes to get our requests answered (check in, check out, general info or during breakfast), but never reached the level of an unpleasant situation. For us, the main weak point was the attention to details in our bedroom, mainly in the external are were there is the hot tub. Knowing the price of the room and the tag of "luxury hotel" from my perspective it is missing more attention to the furniture, plants and decoration.

Exceptional standard of hotel in a superb central Valletta location - close to major tourist sights, great bars and restaurants. Excellent customer service from every member of staff, always keen to help to make our stay just what we wanted. Decked area in Suite 8 was superb place to chill. Communication prior to our stay was fantastic, arranging transfers from the airport

Nothing - everything was fantastic

Casa Ellul is at the quiet end of a street that leads up to one of the main squares in Valletta. Its opposite a beautiful church and we enjoyed watching the comings & goings each morning as we ate breakfast. The breakfast itself was delicious, and the staff were all friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble, from arranging a hire car for us for the day, to suggesting places to eat in Valletta. It was the perfect place for our honeymoon, and we enjoyed suite 8 with terrace & hot tub where we hung out when it was too warm to do sight-seeing mid afternoon.

The location, the breakfast, the room, and THE STAFF. Worth every single euro. The staff is super friendly and helpful – we got in the rain – not only they dried our clothes, but washed them too. Plus, they organized beautiful flowers and cake for anniversary and birthday. The staff was very polite, kind and with a smile. Truly made us feel like home and we will definitely come back next time when we're in Malta!

Two support legs of the bed/matress kept popping out and we had to fix the bed from time to time, but it was a minor issue.

I was looking for something a bit different when I booked Casa Ellul and it didn't disappoint. We loved the room, the quirkiness of the building and the great location in the heart of Valetta. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and breakfast was superb.

Having a room with windows into the courtyard meant sometimes we felt overlooked and lacking in natural light, but this was all part of the uniqueness of the building itself.

Large bedroom with good kitchenette.

Booking.com did not state that there would be no human presence at the hotel and that I would need internet access to access the building. As an American traveler in Portugal, internet access is difficult since I did not have a computer or an international phone to use. You should indicate that internet access is essential for utilizing the hotel.

Amazing location, charming design, super professional staff, great breakfast and best hot tub with the view in my life!)

The bed arrangement wasn’t for my taste. I’m pretty heavy man, and it was the softest bed I experienced in my life. I’m sure, if you’re fan of soft beds, that it would be perfect for you, but I didn’t get too much good night sleep, cause of that.

We stayed in room 8 and both the room and the terrace were beautiful. The view was amazing, especially at night when the church lights were on. Breakfast was delicious and offered a good variety. The location is perfect. Walking distance from tons of shops, restaurants and attractions.

My only issue was that the bed was not very comfortable and was very noisy. Every time I moved it made a loud creaking sound and it woke me up a few times.
