Mercure hotel is on a perfect place in the city. it is within walking distance from both Suria Sabah mall and Jesselton Pier for boattrips to the Islands. Nice rooftop terrace, although the pool was a bit short.

The fruits for breakfest was mostly either honeymelon or watermelon. one morning there was papaya.

The hotel has a very good location, just a short walk away from Jesselton point, shopping malls and night food options. Our room had a large comfy bed with excellent pillows - the bathroom layout was a little strange, but a good walk-in shower. We did not book breakfast, but used the hotel restaurant twice as the asian and international food options suited us well. The rooftop pool was a bonus, we enjoyed sunset views of the KK bay when using the rooftop restaurant. All in all this hotel provides excellent value for money.

The half open bathroom design was a bit strange, but functional. Our room lacked a view, but then we did not request a view when booking. We found alcohol to be pricey up on the rooftop bar.

Overall stay was great! My husband and I just got married and we needed 'space' for ourselves after the wedding before going home. The location was accessible as it is in the city centre and we just walked to the restaurants nearby for dinners at Tanjung Ria Kitchen, Hyatt and Little Italy.

The ventilation fan in our washroom was making a loud noise and unfortunately, it could not be avoided as the switch is combined with the light! We didn't bother to inform the hotel as we only stayed for 2 nights. The washroom was quite small and there's no bathtub considering staying in a suite. Parking space was also limited, but we understand that there's no other way for them to improve in this area.

Very smooth transactions staff very friendly and price is right and near amenities.

I appreciated the Mercure so much, it's a pleasure to highly recommend it above all other hotels in KK. I enjoyed the spacious room, comfortable bed, bonus toiletries etc. It's quiet yet perfectly located within walking distance to old town, the ferries to islands, and the biggest and best daily craft market/seafood -- on the docks. Breakfast was incredibly substantial, delicious and nutritional. It's professionally managed as one expected all fine hotels of days gone by. Front doormen politely and kindly helped. Kind professional concierge helped at all times, such as arranging taxis... All that and more at affordable rates, especially during its regular promotional sales. The staff were very professional, kind, and well learned on KK tourism. Don't miss experiencing the Mercure in KK.

There's nothing at all that I did not like about KK's Mercure.

Bathroom has no door. Sink is open to the bedroom, shower and toilet have doors, but they dont close from the ground to the ceiling. So the other person ob the bedroom hears the shower/peeing/pooping.

Great location to shops and eateries. There is a hilly park you can climb behind the hotel but it's pretty small and the view isn't great. Spend time at the 25th floor pool deck which opens up to a beautiful view of the bay. Check in and check out staff were friendly and accommodating. Kudos to the duty staff when we check in at 9pm on 3 May 23. Wifi was strong and accessible in most parts of the property.

Lobby and restaurant staff could be friendlier such as greeting the guests and smiling. Corridor lights could be replaced with warm lights as it looks like a hospital corridor. Some interior updates can improve the ambience. Frosted shower doors are not ideal if you are rooming with people you are not so close. Gym access at 24th floor requires guests to go down to level 1 receptionist to get access code. Not very convenient. Need to change access system to make it more convenient for guests.
