Safe, secure, clean, attentive hosts, Very comfortable, beautiful, smells nice - What's not to love? This place is as I had imagined but never stayed. Now I will be staying here with my family the next time I visit Nairobi. The breakfast was great- Had many healthy choices. I am a history buff - so I liked that they have incorporated the history sorrounding the hotel in many spaces. We loved the gym/sauna

Dinner. The food was not as great as to match the hotel.

Very friendly and helpful staff, as well as a tasteful mixture of older architectural details and contemporary decor in the public rooms create a warm, welcoming atmosphere which follows the customer during the duration of his/her stay. A sumptuous breakfast buffet is on offer, and the food and beverage facilities, e.g. the bar, are excellent. Housekeeping is also very organized and react upon guest's requests promptly.

Separate the bills better, especially when occupants of two or more rooms share one table e.g. keep individual tabs for each guest.

The staff was incredible - very friendly and extremely helpful! The catering options (breakfast, lunch & dinner) offered at the hotel was amazing, complimented once again by very friendly staff members! The hotel offers a great charm and beautiful exterior with so much history - will definitely return to this hotel in the future!

The hotel has been around for well over 100+ years, so routine maintenance in the bathrooms is something I'll give some attention to - just basic things will help a lot... But no real negative feedback!

We had a great time here and would love to come back in the future. The hotel is beautiful and furnished with great taste. Apart from the main court yard, there’s a lovely and tranquil back garden as well and heated swimming pool. All of the staff are super friendly, and food in the restaurant is very well made, both breakfast and dinner. It’s a special experience in Nairobi to stay in a place with so much history.

Staff were friendly, room is clean, cosy and comfortable. In addition, restaurant staff and food service were exceptional

Its a 5 star hotel and part of a big chain. I’d expect the bathrooms were a bit more nicer & comfortable - they look old and a bit dirty due to old amenities I think

Friendliness & helpfulness of staff

No hot water in room but was fixed quickly. Unsupervised child in gym wearing croc shoes on running machine. Should not have been allowed in as could have injured himself & it’s irritating for gym users if there are children in there.

Location is good and they have a very nice garden inside the hotel. Lovely place for a rest in Nairobi. Much better than Kempinski

Rooms are a little bit tired. They try to look like old fashion style rooms, but in my opinion they are just a little bit tired

The staff and ambience were exceptional! Faith at reception was very warm and friendly and Patricia in the Cin Cin bar was amazing and helped with many things. James the driver was great. Very safe and knowledgeable around the city - Very nice guy!

The wifi connection in my room was not great, however this meant that I had less phone calls! It was also challenging in the Cin Cin bar.

The property is beautiful. Fabulous grounds and a nice pool. The fine dining restaurant TATU was delightful and the staff were very helpful and really nice.

The lift worked only about 10% of the time we were there.
