Jamaica Palace Hotel

The hotel has an amazing palace like structure, with well trained staff and large rooms. It is close to Port Antonio downtown (about 10 minutes by car) and 5 to 10 min alway from Frenchman's Cove Beach and Blue Lagoon spot. Taxis and other transportation options (such as vans) pass by in front of the hotel and they stop for you there, if you ask, making the location quite good. It has a great view and a beautiful garden, where you can have breakfast contemplating the nature.

The bathroom could be improved, with more pressurized water and height of the shower. There's no elevator, so if you stay in the first floor and have large luggage, you have to take them by stairs. Staff can help you (but they expect some tips).

it was quiet , serene and relaxing, the staff were welcoming and the food was amazing. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and exceptionally clean. The environment was spectacular and vast with beautiful art work surrounding the buildings. Pool was clean and towels provided. So nice I have recommended to my daughter who is travelling next week.

Breakfast was included in the room rate however if you wanted a drink or dinner you had to go to order at the bar or restaurant then go to reception to pay then return to bar/restaurant to give them receipt which was a bit annoying if you wanted more than one drink. It could be charged to the room and a total bill paid on departure.

Everything!!!!! The staff The food The pool The room Omg!!! The views The grounds were clean and well kept. All the facilities, pool, dinning (in and outdoor) were clean. The staff were very pleasant and professional. The food was amazing. I have a very picky eater, and he enjoyed breakfast and dinner. This was to be a one day/night outside our vacation home for my then 9 y/o son on his spring break. We ended up spending 2 nights. He enjoyed the pool and the outdoor dinning. I enjoyed the scenery from the balcony and outdoor spots. I've recommended this hotel. I'll be back for sure.

The breakfast was exceptional and our waitress Lorise was super, it was four of us and we could not have asked for more. Value for money was a wow 10 out of 10 excellent. This was my second trip to Portland Parish and the first for the others. This is a hotel worth visiting anytime. I have never slept on a round bed before, I really like the uniqueness of this. Quiet and peaceful in paradise. The garden , the flowers , wow. We will be back and we will be taking others with us.

There was nothing to dislike, the compound was clean, the restaurant food and service excellent, workers excellent, excellent overall. You are talking to someone who has visited almost all the hotels in Montego Bay. This hotel is a most go to. I would like if it was an all inclusive and not only breakfast.

Receptionist was brilliant, nothing was to hard for her to do, always warm and receptive. The grounds are beautiful overlooking Turtle bay, very tranquil and peaceful. Absolutely loved the art displayed across the grounds and rooms some very unusual inspirations. Bedroom was great and liked the bathroom decor.

Breakfast should include both Continental and Traditional with the option to have more if required. It tasted great, but when asking for extras was told it was at an additional cost.

Great hotel with superb staff and service. Food was top notch. Black Mountain coffee, everything made to order using finest ingredients and brought to table. Palatial buildings in beautiful grounds Staff are very friendly and totally dedicated.

The only issue is the road to Port Antonio which is currently in a terrible state. This is no fault of the hotel but is a consequence of internal Jamaican local government political wrangling.

The staff are welcoming, flexible, and courteous. Kudos to manager, Simone and waitress, Loris, as well as the front staff. The grounds are stunning and well manicured, the pool well kept, the rooms spacious and the restaurant well appointed. Will definitely be returning.

Most everything was excellent- just small suggestions- modernize rooms and have more JA evening food options.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Good size rooms, clean hotel. Grounds and pool are clean and well kept.

The hotel would benefit from an upgrade. Needs a lift to improve access for all abilities. Also tea/coffee making facilities needed in rooms. I would have liked some evening entertainment.

Breakfast was excellent and the grounds were lovely and very well maintained. The staff too were excellent. It is definitely somewhere that is an example for other properties to follow.

An option for some rooms could probably be two twin beds for persons that are not a couple but are sharing a room. In addition, I think the rooms could also have a microwave.

Location was fantastic, literally idyllic. Rooms were very spacious, with TV and sitting area, as were the bathrooms. (With the exception of room 6 which was half the size of the other rooms) Breakfast - which was included, was lovely, with a choice of Jamaican breakfast, or Palace breakfast (egg, turkey bacon, chicken sausage and hash brown) all served to you, not a buffet.

No Fridge in room, (although some of our group did have them). No tea/ coffee making facilities, no hair dryer.
