Hotel Villa Ducale

The view from public dining area was amazing! The front desk lady is very helpful. The shuttle bus service is great and make it easier to get to the town; also the driver is great man. We really like this boutique hotel.

1. We booked a suite, a beautiful room, but sadly it’s on the other side of the mountain; not the view of the town. still a beautiful view, but it wasn’t clear that the view from the suites is not of Taormina. 2. They charged parking around eur20 to 40 per night, which is understandable given the limited space on peak. We would appreciate if the hotel can make this clear upfront.

We had the pleasure of staying in an exclusive suite with a breathtaking sea view, which included stunning views of the coast and even Mount Etna. The terrace was incredible, equipped with two chairs and a large sunbed. The suite was spacious and comfortably accommodated four people with two beds in the living room. The room was also clean and well-maintained. The location was quiet and perfect for those who enjoy walks down to Taormina center (approximately 15 minutes). However, please note that due to its elevated position, it may not be suitable for those who are not physically fit. Fortunately, there was a shuttle service available every two hours that ran between the hotel and the city center, making it easier for guests to get around. The breakfast room offered an incredible view, but unfortunately, the breakfast buffet was only average at best. We were disappointed to find that several items were not included, including the typical Sicilian orange juice. Furthermore, we expected a more personalized service from a boutique hotel. Despite this, we would still highly recommend this hotel, with the only downsides being the breakfast and the lack of a personal touch.

A stay at the Villa Ducale is all about the spectacular views of Taormina and towards Etna which had erupted only a few days before our stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. We ate fresh fish in the restaurant, also excellent. Lashings of hot water in the shower always appreciated.

We liked our room very much but would have appreciated a desk or table on which to put something down. There was no space for one. A request for an extra bed cover (it was cold when we arrived) seemed to cause some confusion but we got one in the end.

The Hotel Villa Ducale was beautifully situated at the top of the hill overlooking the sea and Mt Etna from the lobby and dining room side. Our suite was across the street overlooking the sea, Naxos, and the tip of the Italian mainland. The property is beautiful and staff very friendly and helpful booking restaurants, beach trip, etc. There are stairs right outside property to walk into town at the Catania gate. There is another set of longer stairs by the church just up hill from hotel. It’s a beautiful walk overlooking Taormina and the Roman amphitheater.

Breakfast was amazing with gorgeous views. Dinner was excellent even if appetizers were slightly overpriced. This hotel has great views and staff were very accommodating and helpful. There is a shuttle service that you can book for transportation to the local town.

Booked the luxury suite with sea view - separate building. The room has nice views, but it appeared much more spacious on booking.com and some of the photos did not match the room we stayed in. They have different rooms on display in the photos on booking.com so you don't know which room you are actually booking.

We loved our stay at Hotel Villa Ducale in Taormina. We had a beautiful room with a beautiful view. The hotel is located above the main town and is very peaceful with amazing views. There is a shuttle that you can take to the old town or you can walk down 600 steps! We walked the steps everyday down and then back up and it was great! It was nice to go into the old town and then be able to get away from the crowds and be above at our peaceful hotel. Breakfast was great and the view from the restaurant is amazing! We ate dinner at the restaurant and it was delicious! The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and quiet. They arranged transfers for us from and to the airport. We would definitely stay here again.

The pool is not in the sun for most of the day and isn't heated, but it was refreshing after walking up the 600 steps from town!

Our stay at Villa Ducal has been wonderful as the staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcomed. The hotel itself has a distinctive character which resembles with boutique style of living. Each room is beautifully decorated which gives cosy vibes all time round. We stayed at rooftop villa where we have a lot of privacy and also it was were quiet which is something we prefer. Hotel have shuttle bus that takes you to the city centre of Taormina which was very handy too. The food at the restaurant was superb too, various of different choices for meat eaters as well as vegetarians. Breakfast was also quite good with a vide selection of fruits and local Sicilian produce. Leaving

The property was stunning. The views, decor, and architecture gives this unique property a strong 10. The staff!!! Each person was attentive, caring, and pleasant. In particular, Jessica and Guiliana were amazing.

The pool area could have more room for chairs. The breakfast could offer more variety of choices daily. The room could be better cleaned. The walls in the bathroom could be attended.

Incredible views from the room on the bay and mount Etna! The bed and bedsheets were so comfortable. The shower room is amazing. It's very calm, small and tastefully decorated.

The breakfast was disappointing and could be improved with fresher products like fresh fruit juice and fresh pastries. The room was seemingly quite old and needs a refresh- stains on the walls and furniture, but nothing too bad! The pool is really not the highlight-its very small. It's a long and steep walk up from the city centre. They offer transport up from town but at inconvenient times and has to be pre-booked so it's not very flexible. Would have appreciated more regular transport up from the main street!

The breakfast view is fantastic with sight of Mount Etna. The room that I have booked is a luxury suite in a separate building is big enough for 3 of us. Love the shower room the most. Car parking is quite convenient too. The staff are very friendly and polite. Love the whatapp communication with the hotel staff too as it is very convenient.

Climbing stairs. The pool is a little small but I think is not that bad. Going to city centre is a bit troublesome but the hotel do provide shuttle service but we did not use it. We used our own care, so the needs to find parking in city centre.
