We were on day trips most of the stay but the swimming pool was wonderful and there were plenty of sunbeds. People did put their towels out in the morning and they did leave them all day sometimes without returning but there was always a bed to be had. The staff were very friendly they would book trips for you and organise taxis. The view from the bar and terrace was amazing it looks right across Sorrento and across to Mount Vesuvius. Drinks were cheap; cocktails cost about £6. Wine by the glass was very cheap around £3 but it was not very nice- sorry. You’re probably best to go with a cocktail or a beer. It’s a two minute walk up a back lane to the square of Saint Agatha which is brilliant for coffee, gelato and local restaurants. There’s a chap who played music there twice a week in the evenings and the locals came out with the children and joined in with the dancing. Staff will help you book excursions. Make sure that you get hotel pick up and drop back as it’s a real pain using the local bus service in the summer months. If you’re travelling independently then ask them to arrange a taxi to take you back to Naples airport as they can get you a cheaper rate of €120. It will cost @ €200 if you organise it yourself. You could use the airport shuttle bus from Sorrento station for €10 one way and use the hotel shuttle bus to get you there. There is a local cockerel but it didn't wake us up. Breakfast was plenty and th usual affair of sweet and savour pastries, eggs bacon, fruit and yoghurt etc with fresh coffee, teas and juices. Local restaurants in Saint Agata are good and the square next to the church is lovely to sit in after and enjoy wine, coffee, gelato etc. watching the world go by. The room was a little small but very comfortable and adequate. There are no tea and coffee making facilities in the room but who'd want instant coffee when in Italy?! We booked a taxi to the hotel through booking.com and paid £80. Would recommend doing this.

The only downside is that if you want to go to the Amalfi Coast and visit Positano and Amalfi the bus is full by the time it gets to Saint Agatha from Sorrento. That means you have to travel into Sorrento to catch the bus to get a seat. There is a hotel shuttle bus into Sorrento free of charge that runs in the mornings @ 9-12:30 and then restarts at about 4:30 running till 11:30 at night. That was a godsend as taxis to and from Sorrento are @ £50.

The hotel is in a great location with amazing views. The staff are exceptional, and were always asking us if we were okay and if we needed anything when we passed them in the hotel. The hotel building has its own charm, the room was comfortable and very clean. The hotel is also near the old town where there are amazing restaurants just a short walk away. You can book your day trips to places like Capri, amalfi and position, as well as Pompeii via the hotel, and the tour people come and pick you up from the hotel. The hotel also offers a free shuttle service into central Sorrento, and they also do free pick ups too.

the situation with direct view of Vesuvius from the terrace. The rear lane is just a few minutes walk up to the small town of Sant Agata. Be extra careful crossing the street as pedestrian crossing wont keep you safe.

This was the most luxurious hotel we’ve ever been to. Very clean rooms with powerful AC, and astonishing view from the balcony. The breakfast was perfect, with a lot of choices to choose from, and the staff very helpfull. If you’re planing to visit Amalfi coast, I totally recommend this hotel. The panoramic restaurant is something unique, and the pool has a nice view as well. They also have a free shutle from the hotel to Sorrento every hour, and it takes 10-15 min.

Everything was perfect

What a fantastic place! The hotel is situated in the perfect location for visiting that area of the Italian coast, outside of the busy Sorrento centre but close to everything you could need and very easy to get around. The free shuttle bus was brilliant, just book on with reception and it takes around 20 or so minutes to wind your way down the roads to the centre of Sorrento. where you get dropped is a 2 minute walk into the main shopping streets, 15 minute walk to the sea and about 20ish minute walk to the port. We got the ferry over to Naples one day and was very easy, the hotel staff printed out a boat schedule which made it very simple but do remember to allow enough time to buy your tickets, it does get very busy in the summer time. Breakfast was lovely everyday, wonderful fruit and pastries along with savoury food. We had lunch a few times and it was always delicious, we didn’t have dinner there as we decided to walk to the local town each night and try somewhere new. St Agata is a 3 minute walk behind the hotel and had lots of wonderful restaurants and shops, icecream shop and local food shops selling fresh mozzarella! you have a fridge in your hotel room so taking food back was very easy. The reception booked us a tour of Vesuvius & Pompeii which was brilliant and picked us up right from the hotel, we did the one with lunch included and was most definitely recommend this. A few days we relaxed by the gorgeous pool area, you are given fresh towels everyday and you can grab a cold drink or snack at the poolside bar. This hotel was perfection and we are already planning to return next year, absolutely fantastic all round !

There really wasn’t anything we didn’t like!

We loved our stay here. The staff are so friendly and were very helpful booking cars for us from and to the train, and to Pompeii for a day. The location is lovely and remote from all the busy-ness of Sorrento. We walked down to Sorrento but the path may not be to everyone's liking; it is steep. We even walked back one night which was fine but a challenging climb. The path is surprisingly well lit but you do need a torch for parts that are rough and steep. The rooms are lovely and the pool was quiet. The little town is really lovely and easy to get into restaurants.

I would have like a kettle but that is not something that is found in many hotels in Italy.

We loved our stay at Hotel Jaccarino in the lovely town of Sant'Agata sui due Golfi and highly recommend staying there. It's a great spot from which to visit the Amalfi and Sorrento while being removed from the crowds. The hotel provides a courtesy bus to Sorrento which we found very useful. The hotel itself is very glamorous, has beautiful gardens and ground with a jaw dropping view over the Bay of Naples. The staff are simply the best and helpful. Sant'Agata is a great town a short distance from the hotel with a few exceptional restaurants. We enjoyed our daily breakfast which included freshly squeezed orange juice and local produce.

While the bedrooms were a little dated we were comfortable and would stay here again. We were sad to leave and wish we could return

The views from the terrace and the pool area are phenomenal. Hotel was very very clean. Staff friendly. Breakfast did the job. Complimentary shuttle bus to Sorrento.

Parking was a bit of an issue. Sometimes found my car was blocked in in the morning. Might have been an issue if there was somewhere I had to be (such as a booked excursion). Complimentary shuttle bus to Sorrento times back to hotel could have been later to get back after dinner. The last shuttle back was around 5pm. It’s a very steep walk so transport to/from Sorrento is recommended. Both issues above are very minor and should not affect you choosing this hotel.

We were looking for a quiet place to stay a little far from Sorrento and we arrived at a very special building with a large terrace and a large outdoor pool and above all an amazing view. The breakfast is very tasty and varied and the staff is kind and tries to answer every request. There is parking, which is important for those who rent a car. There is a shuttle that goes to the city several times a day and this is a great advantage to avoid entering Sorrento with a car and looking for parking. In total we had three very enjoyable days in this hotel.
