Hotel Cathrine

Hotel located 5min walking distance from Rome Termini Train station, very convenient to go to the Fiumicino airport quickly by train in 40min or to visit main attractions even starting from 15min walking distance, also hotel is just as far as away from train station surroundings to be in the comfortable neighborhood. Room was clean and tidy, communication with staff for self check-in and check-out quick and efficient.

Value for money can be questionable, but when you look at the rest of the prices this is maybe as best as you can go within lower budget, but arguable. If there is need to be picky, thinner walls could be the issue for someone, some noise from corridor and other rooms can be heard. Rooms are small, spending time besides sleeping seems unlikely, but you know what you signed up for in the beginning. Nevertheless, pleasant stay, definition of booking score 8.

the staff are very nice. the location is fantastic. you basically pay for the location; close to termini and a couple of great restaurants just down below. accessible from everywhere. super clean all the time.

there was construction, luckily I was out for most of the day. this time I got a room on the street, the windows were not shutting completely and noise was an issue. also the noise from the bathroom ventilators need a serious fixing. the Wifi was not as good as the last time I stayed here.

Room, bathroom as well as entire hotel was very clean (except chair in my room, which definitely needs serious cleaning). Hotel is located in close proximity to Termini station and metro. It was easy to reach the place. Hotel is located in convenient point, which allows you to start exploring the city and its main attractions. Check-in and check-out were smoothly. Recommend!

Nothing to seriously complain about.

Older building with character. Hotel was on 3rd floor. Lovely marble stairwell and lift available. Staff were very friendly. Small reception area was clean and welcoming. Easy access with code. Hotel was quiet inside. Bed was spotlessly clean as was the room. Room was ready when we arrived. Earlier than checkin. Great communication before we arrived.

Don’t have any negatives about the room. If I had to find one I’d say the mattress was sloping.

Hotel is very nice. Neigborhood is ok (it is near to main train station), but rooms are clean, cozy and beds are good. You can walk to city center easily, and also to Villa Borghese which is near. There is a coffee machine which is free to use which is nice.

Only flaw is that there was no hand shower in our room - only top one (over the head), so it's hard to take a shower without watering your hair. Also, some slippers would be cool to be available, at least those paper ones.

There is no reception permanent. Checkin process is messy and unsecure- you are being asked to send your passport photo - to some .gmail address. Sending such documents via gmail is risky!! Finally checkin is by typeing in codes into entry keypads, the finding your key from the jar. Its like Fort Boyard..

Someone wrote that they were surprised by quality of the hotel, and so was I. I liked how you could black out the windows. The air conditioner was great as unlike most hotels it was not a central system. Loved the silence ( not sure if this is always the case or if I was the only on staying there). Location is 3 mins away from Termini and right under the building you get a couple of great restaurants.

The towels are too rough. The noise the bathroom ventilator makes is like a broken car engine.

The location is nice, it was easy to walk to main attractions. And the room was really clean. The host of the hotel is also really sweet, his recommendations for food spots were the best!

I didn’t bring shampoo and hairdryer, expecting to see it in the hotel, but they didn’t have shampoo. While hairdryer was really weak, I have medium length hair, and It was impossible to dry it out with how weak it was.

I spend one week with doin homeworking during the day and visiting city afternoon/ night. First of all - perfect location, whatever you need - it is close. Metro - both lines (blue and red) are close, train station, pizzerias, caffe, shops. You can check in 24/7 - there is code for doors and they will leve you keys if you arrive late. In room - working A/C (airconditioning), hairdryer, shower, enough power sockets, small table, chair. There is even elevator!

Micro TV - happily I am not TV person Chair not very comfy if you want to work There is elevator, but sometimes people forgot to close door and elevator is stucked on another floor... My view from window was... wall :-D (but was not so bad :-D)

The hotel is perfect located to main tourist places and the terminal "Termini" what made our trip so easy to get to any places we need like the airport, to places we want to visit, to the terminal, and so on. And also great communication transport from there. Something else we thanks a lot was our room was always fresh. They took care of leaves the blinds of our room pulled down so in that way our room was never warm, so we leave it that way and we barely use AC. And believe me, with such hot weather experienced outside of the building, it was like a heaven.

Maybe for complain about something: even with the facilities in everything, I missed someone been there physically to welcome us. Despite that, they were very helpful all the time, and when we met someone of the staff on the mornings, they were utterly friendly and kind. So this is me been super picky just for the sake of say something "I didn't like".
