the property was clean and very good value for money! good communication from staff on how to get there. breakfast was lovely and had lots of options. staff were friendly. great view from the breakfast area

didn’t like the walk from the bus stop! a lot of steps and very difficult with luggage. thought we would have a room with a nice view and balcony however didn’t have much of a view from the balcony we had. bit disappointed as it was our honeymoon

amazing place, room was super comfy and big, although it said “partial sea view”, the view was lovely and made it inviting to just chill at the balcony. we stayed ar the appendix, which is actually a separate building than the main one. breakfast was very complete with Italian pastries, fruits, and even eggs which is not common to see in Italy. they had sky which was cool some days when we went for a rest before dinner. also very clean and staff super nice! super recommend.

all good. there was only one small detail that the room we stayed has one broken door on the bathroom which sometimes wet around when we showered, but it was not at all a big deal. one tip for those bringing their own luggage: google gives you the “shorter” path, which is through the stairs. don’t go for it! go for the longer path that is on the Main Street which is easier to climb, believe me ! :)

We very much enjoyed our stay! First, the communication from the staff was impeccable. They reached out to us before our stay, informed us of all the options to arrive at the location, and booked our hotel transfer from Naples. They communicated throughout our stay about things like laundry service, restaurants and even the clocks turning back an hour. Second, the room was great value for money, good sized with a quite large bathroom and stocked minibar. It’s in a good location close to restaurants and a short walk from the main beach.

Nothing at all

My husband and I have stayed at Casa Guadagno during our honeymoon in Positano. It's a small family run 'pensione' in Fornillo quarter of the town. It's closer to the smaller Fornillo Beach (it's about 360 steps down) which we preferred as the main Positano beach was just too busy to relax. We really loved our room with a private terrace with a great view. The hotel staff were wonderful too. They welcomed us like old friends. Big thank you to Floriana and Filoteo for looking after us. Casa Guadagno was our home away from Scotland for nearly 3 weeks and we hope to go back soon. We highly recommend booking way ahead of your trip as those rooms will be booked out before you know it!

Not sure what they could actually do about it but that walk downstairs to the beach is a little brutal

The view from my balcony was just amazing! Breakfast was great with a good variety. The two lovely ladies manning the breakfast station were always attentive and friendly, and Jessica from the front desk was also very helpful. The property is located near to the bus stop which is easy for pickups to restaurants and close to Fornillo beach which is less busy than the main beach. It is fairly easy to get around to the main beach and other attractions, just be prepared for the stairs like any other place in Positano :) We enjoyed our stay and would come back again!

The property has a great location with large verandas overlooking the Amalfi Coast and the sea. It is beautiful! Also, the staff were kind and helpful. Breakfast is served in a nice open area overlooking the sea and there is a decent selection.

The rooms are much smaller than pictured online, and the beds are not comfortable. We had three adult family members with four large pieces of luggage. The room for 3 people would be better for a couple and a small child with limited baggage. I think management should also strongly recommend that anyone arriving by ferry use the porter service. We were debating and fortunately, the porter explained to us the challenge in reaching the property, especially the shorter route with 400 stairs. We would have never been able to navigate the property by foot with all the stairs with our multiple pieces of luggage.

The staff at Casa Guadagno were extremely friendly, helpful and flexible during our check-in and check-out and communicated with us beforehand to ensure a smooth arrival. The room had a lovely terrace/balcony with a sea view. The room was compact but had all items you might need for a short stay. The beds were comfortable and the small fridge was a life saved during the hot June weather. We enjoyed the breakfast in the main area which was part of our rate. The B&B is a bit hard to find due to winding Positano streets and alleyways, but once you find it, it's a walking distance to all major places in Positano. On the top of this, the B&B is a 5 min walk to the Fornillo Spiaggia (beach) which is quieter than the main Positano Spiaggia.

I have only been to Positano the day before, so wasn't really aware of the best areas to stay at. So booking this place was a bit of a wild guess, but overall we were very happy about the location. It really is the best location for easy access. Staying in the middle would of course be better, but you'd pay x10 as much. And everyone complaining about stairs, well duh, it's kinda the thing about Positano. You can walk to Fornillo beach which is the nicest one in Positano, the walk down is fairly easy and takes about 5 minutes. Up takes about 15-20, unless you are very fit. However, I recommend walking through Positano from the beach and then up the other way as you got to see a bit more, but the stairs are of course the quickest way to get back to the hotel. Our room had a balcony too which was really nice. Didn't love the type of breakfast they have but that is more of a preference, however, the clearly local produce was divine. Lovely staff and we felt very welcomed!

The room was smaller than I expected, so we were very happy to only have brought backpacks. Would not recommend anyone to bring anything larger than a carry-on. The pillows on the bed were not super comfy. Italian breakfast is not exactly my favorite due to the high sugar content. I think replacing the juices with glucose syrup in it with ones without, would definitely help. I really wish they would replace the brand of coffee in the room as it was... uhm, very, very strong and bitter.

The room was very comfortable with a nice verandah and view. Breakfast was good in a nice airy room. Loved the shuttered doors accessing the verandah. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Positano is dominated by steps/stairs and they’re probably unavoidable, but we were disappointed to be accommodated in the “annex” at Casa Guadagno which involved a number of extra stairs to access. The shower cubicle was too small. Hard to move around in.
