Bosone Palace

Gubbio turned out to be our favorite of all the hill towns, and Bosone Palace is a delightful place to spend our nights. The staff was very helpful, the room had a beautiful view over the garden, and the breakfast was terrific. We ended up staying longer because it was just such a pleasant place to be. As for driving, it is a little challenging driving in to drop off bags, but manageable. In retrospect I think I would have gone straight to the parking lot at the funicular (ask the hotel first where to park there.) It's a short walk to the hotel.

Staff, common area sitting room, location, impeccably clean. Comfortable bedding.

The breakfast was decent, however, the quality of the meats (ham, bacon and salami) and variety of cheeses needs improvement. Too many sweets. Also the bar has a very limited selection of alcohols. The wine I was served was from an older bottle that was stored too long. Of course they replaced the wine by opening a new one! There was no ice for the bar.

Lovely room that made good use of small space. Elegant common areas. Great breakfast buffet. Very nice staff. If you’re into earth science be sure and check out the KT boundary in Bottaccione gorge. It rocks!

Not the hotel’s fault but perhaps due to festival the next day there was very loud partying in the little piazza below my window late into the night- loud music, singing, shouting. Fun for them but not for me. Again, not the hotel’s fault.

Beautiful hotel in the best location in Gubbio. The decor is plush and lovely and the staff couldn’t have been nicer, more friendly or more professional. The very helpful lady on reception allowed us to leave our bags and check-in early at 12.00pm because our room was ready.

Small bathroom but very clean and everything worked well.

The position of the hotel is within the city center, very close to restaurant and attractions. It is also very close to the cable car which can bring you to the basilica on top of the mountain. The personnel was nice and professional

The closest parking area where you can reliably find a spot, is a few hundred meters away, just outside the city walls. It makes it a bit inconvenient, especially in the unload and load phase.

The hotel is really in the center of the town, from the Funivia parking place it's less than 5 minutes walking. Easy walk. In case you have heavy luggage you can reach it by car. Excellent Continental breakfast. In my case wide bathroom. All the personel really kind and professional

Position excellent very close to the main square of a beautiful city. It is possible to leave luggages at the hotel by car and park very close after. Room and, in general, the hotel very nice. Breakfast in a wonderful room with nice view and staff very polite and helpful

nothing. we just asked for a double bed and we found 2 twin beds that we could easily put together. not a problem

Everything exceed our expectations - the room - the bathroom - the garden restaurant - the premises - the staff and the location. We have been travelling all over Umbria and the Bosono Palace goes right to the top!

Having to leave!!

Excellent location, excellent breakfast, bedroom large and clean. Bathroom was very small but complete - shower was however minute - semi circular and 60 cm wide only - We would expect a standard shower (80 cm) from a 4 star hotel. Price offered was very good value.
