The location was excellent and within a couple blocks walking distance from train station and many restaurants. It was about a 10 minute walk to Academia and Uffizi. The room was large with painted ceilings. It looked exactly like the reservation image. Very quiet. Very secure with iron door and then an iron gate that is the entrance to the B&B. The proprietor was kind and friendly and his dry wit made me laugh. I will always remember his voice and how beautiful he made my name sound. This place is part of an old palazzo. There are two B&B connected and our room was on the 2nd floor past the beautiful interior garden. There's a key to get into the 2nd floor once off the lift and then a separate key for our room. We got a bit lost our first day there. To get to the check-in and breakfast it is in the first half before the interior garden with an elevator to the 2nd floor. The breakfast had a variety of choices:. Croisants, fruit, cereal, yogurt, hard boil egg, meats and cheese tray, hot chocolate, coffee, juice. It was an Europeon buffet not an American with bacon & eggs. It was a lovely breakfast and quite filling. The staff called for our airport taxi which was there immediately at 7:30 am on our day of departure. They also allowed us access to the buffet which was very considerate since the hours are 8 to 10. If you're interested in a Florence experience this palazzo is a reasonable priced choice in a great location.

I have nothing negative to say, except if you're one who wants a TV, the TV was very small with no English station. We were ok with this as we were not in Florence to watch TV. We went to Florence at a time which was suppose to be the beginning of the off season. October 1. There were soo many tourist it was crazy crowded. Our taxi driver said in the 12 years he has been a driver he has never seen it so busy.

Fabulous location in the heart of Florence, just a few minutes walk to the most popular attractions. The room was large and gorgeous, like a trip back in time with Renaissance murals on the walls and ceiling, yet all the modern amenities are provided. Breakfast was ample and delicious. The perfect place to stay in Florence!

The corner shower is pretty small - but understandably so when you stay in an historic building.

So traditional place and room. Room is so antic and we like about room. So big place. Around hotel, there are market, restaurants and place for visiting.

Because this place is old, so first it's hard to find the reception(entrance and floor)

The staff, accommodations, and location were outstanding!

I would not consider this at all a “downside” but due to the older building, the doors are thin and you can hear into the hallway (and vice versa). The shower was very small.

It’s so close to everything!! We were able to see whole Firenze in 4 days. The staff was so gentle and helpful. The breakfast was really good.

I booked the hotel for my parents, they arrived late when the reception was supposed to be closed . But the lady over the phone kindly agreed to wait for them and do the check in ! It was so helpful! We really appreciated it. And they also arranged a bottle of sparkling wine for my mom’s birthday ☺️ the room was HUGE and extremely beautiful! It was also very warm and well-heated. Delicious breakfast and excellent location! Thanks a lot for an amazing experience!

What a great spot for our stay in Florence! My partner and I stayed in one of the Deluxe rooms with fresco paintings on the walls ... go ahead and book it, the beauty and atmosphere of the room really added to the experience. AC worked great, a real plus if you visit in the sweltering summer months. The staff was friendly and attentive, particularly the woman who handled our check-in and made our morning breakfast visits sweet and personable. The breakfast was simple but very welcome, and we really appreciated the homemade yogurt, hard boiled eggs, and the option to make warm toast or sandwiches. The location is great, walking distance to some of the key sites but far enough removed that it felt a little like a secret hideaway. Many options for food and coffee nearby as well as a little market right next door for snacks and beverages. This felt like a sweet family run place with unique energy that helped us feel comfortable after long days of exploring.

Very good location, just a few minutes from the Duomo and the Palazzio Vecchio ! The staff was friendly and very helpful. Christina offered to personally watch over our bags while we went to a few museums after check out. Breakfast, a mix of western and europeean food, was amazing ! Although rustic, the bathrom was clean and the water pressure was good.

The only downside of this hotel is the noise, both coming from the street and the lobby. With jetlag, we slept like babies anyway, but it seems like a thing that could bother other travelers.

The location of this place was exceptional, although we did struggle to find the entrance, but it wasn't much of a problem. The room was stylish and comfortable, perfect for our stay. The breakfast had variety and was delicious. The staff were wonderful, friendly and helpful. We loved our stay here and highly recommend it!

You could hear a lot happening outside on the street at night.
