The hotel is next to several bars and restaurants and a short walk from museums and other sites. They cleaned the room every day, which was probably not required but a nice to have. There is a kettle and coffee provided as well as a mini bar with reasonably priced items. They let me drop my luggage off early and they arranged for a taxi to pick me up the day I left for the airport.

It is not a B & B and I am not sure why they feel they need to use this label for their establishment. (They do offer to pick it up for you, but that does not make it a B&B.) The walls are a little thin, but I found that running the fan blocked out the noise from the other guests and the street noise with the shutters closed.

Location was great, close to bus stop and a short walk away from the city centre. I had a good communication with the property, we agreed a time of arrival via messaging. There are lockers available to drop your bags until check in at 3pm. Very friendly check-in staff, who explained things about the city. Clean beds, clean room. Good bathroom and a stocked mini bar, with also coffee tea options.

The property is on a busy street with 3 restaurants which stay open late in the night. Our room was facing the street and unfortunately therefore too noisy. We had trouble sleeping through the night. The insulation of the windows could be improved maybe.

Walking distance from the train station.Had a lift. The room was small but provided for all our needs and was very clean. The bathroom was modern and clean. The location was very good, being able to walk to restaurants and attractions. The gentleman who checked us in was very pleasant and helpful.

The communication via bookings.com messages was not great. Once I communicated via WhatsApp, communication improved. The 3pm check in is late, especially when we only had one night in Bologna. We had planned to give a 9 rating, we didn't appreciate the message we received telling us only to do a review if we were going to give them a 9 or 10. We did feel like giving them an 8 rating because of this but the fact is the accommodation does deserve a 9 rating.

The host was incredibly friendly and helpful. Our room was exactly what we expected. It was well-equipped, clean, with a very large bathroom and a comfortable bed. An iron is available upon request. The room also has a refrigerator and kettle. Luggage storage in lockable lockers was a great feature. The apartments are a 10-minute walk from the city center and the train station. There are plenty of restaurants and a large grocery store nearby. I wouldn't lie if I said it was one of our best stays in Italy.

Location was great and within walking distance to sights, shopping, restaurants and public parking. Bed was very comfortable and room was cosy and tastefully presented. It was also very quiet and we got good sleep. Bathroom spacious. Our daughter had a room without a balcony overlooking the street and we had one that had a balcony that overlooked an internal view of other buildings. I preferred the balcony to access outside space. Property has a lift to bring luggage to the room but is only one flight of stairs to walk up and down so very accessible. It is also very secure. Hosts were responsive, friendly and accomodating to our requests. There is also a locker space for luggage that can be used once you check out and still wish to explore Bologna.

I assumed that our property overlooked a canal based on the name and google maps but it is just a dry cement drainage point in the alleyway behind the building. Disappointing but not a deal breaker. This property is basically like a small hotel room that has no capacity to cook or reheat food with no seating except a small table and two chairs. Please note that it is exactly as described but we had gotten used to having an apartment in our travels and found it a bit small for us and only a place to come and sleep at night.

Loved it. Excellent communication from Rossana prior to our visit to Bologna, making sure someone will be present to check us in. On arrival, we met Luca who provided clear information about La finestra sul canale, and our room. Luca then kindly showed us some recommendations; restaurants, public transport (if needed) and attractions to see in Bologna. Our room was ideal, exceeding expectations. The right size for a couple looking to explore Bologna from the perfect location to walk anywhere. The room was always clean, with housekeeping popping by each day. It is clear that La finestra sul canale is well thought out as a hotel, and incredibly well looked after, which in turn is how we felt as guests. As an additional bonus, with our flight in the evening, it was fantastic to have secure lockers within the hallway just outside the room which guests have access to so that, even though you've checked out of your room, you can continue to explore the city before quickly visiting to pick up bags on route to the airport, lovely touch!

Everything was great. Location is 5-10 min walk to everything: city centre, restaurants, cafes, shops etc. Apartment is very modern and new, spotless clean! and good size of the room. You have everything you need: ac, fridge, the shower is good size (not super small like in most places), the mirror is super big. The bed was comfortable and we slept very well! We slept with windows open because of hot weather and it was very quiet, as the windows are pointing to the back of the building. The building also has elevator. The owner was very nice! We arrived very late because of the flight time (22 pm) and she left us the keys in a locked box at the entrance. Highly recommend!

-There was an issue with renovation noise during quiet hours on the floor above the B&B. We asked the owner for help and she was very honest and responsive. -there should be bigger quantity of of shampoos and shower gels as the current packaging is small.

Nice little property at the heart of a vibrant city. The room is beautifully decorated and clean, equipped with everything you might need. They have a very convenient system if you need to leave your luggage on the day of departure.

It would have been nice to have breakfast (although there are many nice places to do that near by) as it would have saved me a lot of time. Also it seemed a little expensive to pay 120 euro per night for one person without breakfast. Have in mind that this is not a hotel. Apart from the time I checked in, I didn't see anybody from the stuff or the owner for the four days I was there. But I should say that it was easy to go in and out and I felt safe the whole time.

Great location. The host is very kind and helpful. We asked for early check-in and she sent the staff to wait for us. There are luggage storage in the property after check out which is very convenient. When we checked out, the storage was full , but the host was kind enough to let us put our luggages in her office.

In our room, the bathroom lock didn’t work very well, so I suggest not to lock the bathroom. They may probably fix it by now. Anyway, please check.
