Hotel Marina Riviera

The Location of this Hotel is excellent! A View of the beautiful Amalfi town and easy to reach by Walking. The Breakfast is very good and tasty - a very good Buffet selection and a menu to order warm dishes. The well cared for flowers on the stairs and entrance hall makes a lovely impression. A Wonderful stay in Amalfi!

The food at lunchtime was not that good and best to rather avoid.

I have stayed at this hotel several times, because I love the location and I love the views. It is a perfect location for walking around in Amalfi and for views over the town - especially at sunset. The staff here are very nice, and very helpful in getting around the Amalfi Coast. Parking is relatively easy in a large parking lot that connects to the town through a tunnel. The breakfast at the hotel is superb and stacked with delicious snacks and fruits. The pool deck is lovely as well and I spent some time on the pool deck with a drink in hand overlooking the sunset.

Nothing....it was really a nice stay. I wouldn't go in August again, as the whole coast becomes a "parking lot" - I highly recommend parking a car for the entire time you are there, and renting scooters to get around and explore. Everything is also twice as expensive as normal during August. I was happy that I didn't feel the need to do tours of Capri or Ravello, etc., as I'd done them. Tours and visits to various villas and museums were twice the price of other times.

Everything about the hotel exceeded my expectations. From the moment we entered the beautiful hotel, we were treated exceptionally. The porter greeted us by name, took our luggage to our room, where we were treated to some olives, cookies, and wine. Each night, there was turn down service, and every member on staff embodied the warm hospitality that Italians are known for. The breakfast was by far the stand out - full, delicious breakfast service with GORGEOUS views. The Amalfi Coast is beautiful, but the hotel was by far the highlight of our trip. This will be my go-to hotel in Amalfi from now on. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Here is a snippet from the email I sent the hotel after leaving the hotel. Unfortunately I couldn't fit it all here! I wanted to take a moment to share some feedback from my recent experience with the Hotel Marina Riviera. From the moment I booked the hotel in April, I knew I had made the right choice. As I was traveling internationally just myself and my 2 year old daughter, I had a lot of questions and needs. I sent the Hotel Marina Riviera no less than 40 emails with questions about flights, transportation, car seats, restaurants, swimming facilities- you name it, I asked. Not only did I always receive a prompt response (usually within 20 minutes!), but I always received a polite and super helpful response addressing all of my concerns. It was already the best customer service I had ever experienced in my life, and I wasn't even in Italy yet. Upon arriving at the hotel after a long travel day we were greeted by Costantino. I cannot say enough amazing things about Costantino. He was so welcoming and attentive, and I was shocked to learn that he and the team had taken the liberty to upgrade our room for us. As a single mom who had been looking forward to this trip for months, I was speechless. I had never experienced such generosity before. Once he showed us to our room, I was blown away at the attention to detail that went into the setup of our room. Not only had they set up a crib for my daughter, but they also included a teddy bear for her. They also put a lot of thought into what we might like upon our arrival that evening- with a bottle of wine for me and a bottle of juice for my daughter. For the remainder of our trip we had positive experiences with all members of the staff, including Roberta, Lucia, Pasquale, Vincenzo, Ernesto, Giorgio, and Raffaele- to name a few! Overall, my experience with the Hotel Marina Riviera was the best I've experienced - and I consider myself a "hotel snob".

Best hotel ever! It's not even a hotel, that's the whole experience! The staff is so amazing and kind, they treat you like a part of their family, they are taking care of your stay to make it even better. Assisting you with any type of requests you might have. The location is 100 / 10. Close to the bus station (if you want to explore other cities), a minute from the sea and the beach. The rooms are clean, the bed is so comfortable. The breakfast is simply amazing! The hotel also has its own restaurant with an excellent selection of dishes. One of the important factors is the presence of a swimming pool and a bar next to it, where you can order not only drinks but also a lunch menu. The service is simply amazing!

Stunning and perfect location. The best in amalfi. The staff were lovely, very kind, warm and helpful. Breakfast was perfect! Fresh fruit, vegetables, and all the options were just right.

It would be great if they had a gym and some more shade in the pool area. The pool area could do with a make-over as it’s very old and dated. Modernising this will help them have more footfall. Unfortunately, we weren’t informed that there was a euro 35 daily charge for parking until we checked out. There is also a supplementary charge of 86 euro per child, which I don’t mind paying but honestly seems extortionate when they were sleeping on a sofa bed.

It definitely surpassed my expectations, I thought our accommodation in Positano couldn't be matched or beaten, but WOW this place is amazing. The location is the definition of perfect and convenient, the breakfast is amazing, our room had the most amazing view (we luckily were upgraded) in peak season aswell which I couldn't believe, not many places have such great facilities like this in Amalfi, there's a 5 star restaurant in house and an AMAZING roof top pool with plenty of day beds to enjoy that Amalfi sun.

It's pricey, but worth it.

This hotel was an absolute dream. The view from our balcony was exquisite, staff was friendly, breakfast was good, AC worked well, and the hotel itself is beautiful.

The ONLY thing about this hotel that we didn't love was that sound does carry a good bit and you can hear people walking down the hall/talking in the hallways. This did not bother us much, but is something to note if you're particularly sensitive to noise.

The staff was Excellent at checkin with detailed information, housekeeping was friendly and professional, well done!

One woman on the breakfast staff was not so friendly or accommodating, she didn’t attempt to offer options menu for eggs made by choice. She looked like she couldn’t wait for breakfast to be over. Otherwise this hotel is Excellent!

Outstandingly polite and helpful staff in all areas at all times. Beautiful rooms which are kept to an immaculate standard daily. Lovely breakfasts and meals at Terrazza 17 hotel restaurant, with an extensive wine list. Rooftop pool and bar facility is amazing and must have some of the best views in Amalfi.

Amalfi appears to be popular destination for tourists from the USA so it must be said that occasionally the ambience of the destination is disturbed by brashness. This can be put aside however given all the plus points of both the hotel and the town.
