B&B Batarà - "La Terrazza del Centro"0

This place was wonderful. The room was charming and very clean. It had a private balcony with an amazing view of the centro storico and the sea beyond. The breakfast was ample, with a large variety of sweets and savories and the breakfast patio also had a wonderful view. The owners were very kind and helpful. Now, there were stairs involved to get to this lovely place. But if you are not packing a lot of luggage and if you are reasonably fit, the stairs should not be an obstacle. But if you have heavy luggage and get winded easily, then you would probably find the stairs to be a challenge. I am an older person and physically fit and did not have excessive luggage, so for me the gorgeous view from the private balcony was worth every step!

This is a lovely comfortable B&B in a great location at the heart of the pedestrian area. Our room for 4 was really comfortable, with a nice bathroom. The breakfast on the terrace was great- plenty of fresh food and a fabulous view. The hosts are very friendly and there was no problem checking in early and leaving our bags for a few hours after checkout.

The only thing we would mention is that there are a lot of steps up to the 2nd floor location so would not suit anyone with mobility issues.

Gorgeous view to the temples and sea from the balcony in our room. The furnishings in the room are outdated. The mattress was comfy though, we had a good nights sleep. If you don’t mind hiking up five flights of stairs, there’s the best view and breakfast terrace waiting for you. In our opinion it’s the best overnight option in Agrigento. The B$B is in the old part of the town, the only area worth visiting, other than the temples of course. The B&B is next to restaurants and a pleasant place to walk around.

We got a beautiful room right at the top floor with direct entrance to the terrace. The view from there into the city and on the sea is stunning. We needed to check in earlier and it wasn't a problem at all, check in super easy, paid parking is approximately 5 minute walk from there. The place is right at the city centre, super close to the busy central street with a lot of shops, restaurants and life, but still quiet. Breakfast was totally awesome! Fresh coffee, many different sweet cakes and ham/cheese/toasts, cereals, etc. There was literally nothing missing.

Staff lovely, very helpful. Our poor Italian we just got by. Room on top floor room 6 on the breakfast terrace stunning views. Room was ideal. Very clean quite traditional Which we like, dont like souless white box Its a Scilian beautiful old building. Thoroughly enjoyed

Not really a didnt like! More just for information We did get used to the 90 stairs to the top. Kept us fit. Struggle first day with cases. And bathroom in room 6 is a little compact toilet very close to shower.

We had room no 5 which had its own balcony with a fantastic panoramic view over rooftops towards the Valley of the Temples and the sea. Of course there were steps to go up but we managed (both in our 60s) and the view made the effort worthwhile. The room was a good size and pleasantly decorated. Breakfast was buffet style on a roof terrace with a large variety of bread, croissants, cakes, cheese, ham, salami, fruit and salad, etc to suit all tastes.

Although B & B Batara is quite close to the bus and train station but the train station is covered in sheeting just now for renovation so does not look like a station at all!

The room was a good size and beds were comfortable. The shower had good water pressure and plenty of hot water. The views of Agrigento from our balcony were great. The breakfast staff and food was top notch. Property is just off of Via Atenea and its restaurants and shops. Excellent location.

I was nervous about parking offsite on the nearby Via Gioeni, which is a narrow and busy street. It has 2 small lots less than a 10 minute walk to the property. We found a parking space that was free to park overnight from 20 to 8. So everything worked out fine.

Definitely, the highlight of our stay here was the breakfast. Served on the building's terrace, with a pleasant variety and many, many cakes and sweets. Plus, our host was very hospitable and kind. Also, the view quite beautiful. Second, the location is amazing (you can't get more central that this :) ) ! The room clean, comfy and with good ammenities. We would definitely come again here!

The stairs were a bit of a challenge, and our room was top floor, but survivable :).

We had a beautiful room with a balcony from which we could see the temples in the valley. The b&b is right in the center of the old town, very close to the main pedestrian street. Very quiet and clean. Breakfast is excellent, and it’s served on the terrace (weather permitting).

We did not mind, but there is no elevator and rooms are on top floors of the historic building. Some may need to keep this in mind (it’s signaled on Booking).
