Sligo City Hotel

The location was excellent. Perfect for people doing a view of Sligo. Easy walking distance to most attractions. The room is large, spacious.

My most worrying concern for people travelling by car is the limited ability for parking. ONLY 20 PARKING SPACES AVAILABLE. Other than that you have to avail of parking spaces of OTHER HOTELS. Not an appealing thought. The rooms had old style electric heating ability and the food service in the bar leaves a lot to be desired. A €120 charge for one night, WITHOUT BREAKFAST is not what I'd call reasonable. A lot of questions and revamps needs to be thought out.

Lovely and exceptionally clean room. In city centre which helps a lot. Car park close by, and you probably would be able to park right outside the hotel, best to check if there is a parking meter. Overall, great hotel to stay for a couple of nights.

The room had now window, so if claustrophobic, make sure you are given one with the window. Big curtain, but just covering the wall. Lots of noise coming from somewhere, even in the middle of the night,it was like some works were being done, construction I think, soundproofing would be a good idea. Expected more for the price. Also, pretty dead for Saturday night, just 2 other patrons at the bar, no live at all.

Our room in the Sligo City Hotel was quite comfortable for two people. We each had a twin bed with comfortable bedding. The bathroom was great. A very nice shower with great water pressure and shampoo / body wash provided. The hotel was directly across from a good gastropub (we enjoyed our dinner there on Sunday night).

It was a little difficult to find the parking lot, but once we found it, we appreciated having a gated parking lot for our vehicle. The room was hot, and the windows didn't open much to let in fresh air. There was quite a bit of noise during the night (a woman arguing quite loudly with a man, sirens, doors slamming, etc.). This isn't something the hotel can control, but it certainly impacted the ambiance negatively.

Located in walking distance to many restaurants and pubs. Very nice renovated room in a well cared for building. The staff was friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable and there was room enough for all of us.

Very limited parking available. Luckily we were there when we could park at the Quay for free since it was after hours when we arrived and Sunday was free parking.

The hotel is a 10 minutes walk from the bus and railway station. The bathroom was recently renovated and the matrassen are very good. They are renovating a part of the hotel but this was not an issue. If needed, the noisy work starts after 10:00 am. Our room had a great view in the direction of Ben Bulben.

It was very good-- Hotels are too expensive compared to the rest of Europe.

Parking , needs better parking detail. A lot of works going on which I accept are necessary. However when works are going on it should be reflected in the price.

We we’re greeted warmly at reception by Ricky,who couldn’t have been more helpful. Our room was spotless,and bed really comfortable. We had a drink in the bar later in the evening ,and had a great chat with the lovely barman/night porter ,John.

A warm friendly and fun hotel in perfect setting.

Car park was full so we had to walk to a local car park. Not too much inconvenience though.

Comfortable, friendly staff and in a fantastic location to be able to walk into town

Breakfast was buffet-style. A more personal, table service with food cooked to order-style, would have ensured it was fresh and hot.

We stayed in a newly refurbished room. It was beautiful. The bed was the most comfortable i have ever slept in. Staff were so helpful especially Ricky. Great value for money in the centre of town. We will certainly be back.
