Leonardo Hotel Dublin Christchurch - Formerly Jurys Inn

Recently changed from Jury's Inn to Leonardo Hotels. Staff were really helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. We had a birthday girl and they did balloons and cheesecake with ice cream at the breakfast table. We were able to leave our luggage in reception after check out as we had a later flight. We were given complimentary vouchers for coffee to celebrate the change in hotel chains. Location was excellent all main attractions were no more than 10-15 minutes walk.

Breakfast options were the same throughout our stay. Meat products were kept2 next to vegetarian options. Customers were using the same spoons to pick up meat and vegetarian items leading to cross contamination. For example, I saw a lady use the same fish slice to pick up eggs and black pudding. No vegetarian sausages available despite me telling them we were there for a few days.

Location, location, location! Friendly and helpful staff, we arrived well before our room was due to be ready but we were accommodated straight away and had a lovely view of the Christchurch Cathedral. Comfortable beds and the extra internal glazing really cut out all street noise. The two lifts weren’t large but there was never much of a wait even though the hotel was very busy.

No air conditioning, no fridge, would have expected them for the prices being charged-I know it’s a central location but I’ve stayed in plenty of city centre hotels and these really are pretty standard as are usb points which can easily be installed with an upgrade of sockets. Also not enough sockets so continually having to unplug one thing to plug in another. Door closing is impossible to do quietly (we did our best!) and in Dublin when people are out having fun into the wee hours that can be particularly disturbing.. Our key cards were problematic and most days we had to go and get them updated so we could access our room.

Location is excellent . Close enough to main tourist attractions yet quieter due to lesser traffic. The room was comfortable and soundproof windows help reduce the traffic and church bell noise, extremely well. Bed was comfortable. Bath room was clean but needs improvement in functionality. There are no hooks to hang your cloths or wet towels. Breakfast was healthy and good and so was the service.

There is just one hooks to hang your cloths or wet towels. Body lotion/moisturizer not provided. There is no closet or drawers to unpack your bag and keep your under garments etc handy. There is no safe in the room to keep your passport and other valuables.

We had a lovely view of the Cathedral. Room was comfortable and linens were crisp and clean. Overall, it was a nice stay and the location was close to attractions, reasonably quiet for the busy street and felt safe.

We had to request more tissue paper during our 4-day stay. Also, would be nice to have Shampoo, Conditioner and a small bar of soap for the shower, but fortunately we brought some. Room key cards kept getting de-magnetized - the front desk was helpful to reissue cards, but it happened often for us and others, so likely was taking up a lot of their time. Also seems like it may pose security risks to reissue cards frequently. Thank you.

My room was not made up the first night. I was told this was due to Covid and that you had to request that rooms were made up, it wasn't the norm I spoke to several guests and they said this hadn't applied to them Other smaller things: One of the two coffee machines was out of order for a few days Bar only accepted cards, not cas or allowing payment to be added to the room

The location was very central, they were able to give us adjoining rooms which we had requested, and the breakfast was 5-star. But it was the staff that made it 5-star. From the housekeepers with their, "Good morning" with a smile to the front desk personnel, the breakfast staff, and the bartenders! Nothing wrecks a stay like a crabby or snotty staff member and they just didn't have any here! We would definitely stay here again!

My only complaint is it would have been nice to have air conditioning, but we didn't see it anywhere we stayed in Ireland, so I think this is normal.

I arrived at 9am in the morning to drop the bags, and from that moment the welcome and service were excellent, right from the get-go everyone was so helpful, I arrived back to a very busy hotel as there was a semi final match in Croke Park Stadium, but again staff were helpful, and accommodating, especially when I came down for dinner, finding me a table and the food even though so busy was excellent, the room was very comfortable and had air conditioning which was great as I had the windows closed to reduce noise, all in all a great and comfortable stay,

I liked everything, except maybe the busy lifts at times, but it was a very busy day

The location is fantastic. Although we did not interact with them much when we did, the front desk staff and the lounge/bar/cafe staff were all great. Even though our booking did not include breakfast, they provided vouchers for daily coffees and 10% discount for snack/meals at the bar/cafe/lounge. A box of premium Irish chocolates was extra nice

The room itself is smaller than expected. The photos are misleading. There was no safe and no ac/heat/fan control. It wasn't a big deal for us as the weather was good and we could open the window, but I can imagine this might be an issue. The TV is small for a hotel room in this price range. The exhaust fan in the bathroom didn't seem to have a switch. Sometimes it was on and sometimes not. This was a bit inconvenient with multiple people using the bathroom. The bathroom could use more hanging hooks for towels. There was only one and it was broken. We hung our towels on cloth hangers in the open closet. Our room faced an internal courtyard which was sometimes loud with pickup/deliveries especially the empty beer kegs

Our twin superior room (408) was spotless. The view was not unpleasant. The room had been provided with a cooling fan and the windows had been left open so it felt comfortable in the room. Shower was really powerful water supply which was good. Staff were professional and friendly throughout. Check in and check out was quick and simple. Checking out at 2.00pm was an added bonus. Great that there was a supply of fresh water available in reception.

We arrived for breakfast at the tail end of service. Some of the hot buffet dishes looked past their best (porridge, beans and scrambled egg). However, other dishes were delicious (fruit compote, granola, fresh fruit). Would have liked a croissant, but there were none left as they had been taken through to the bar for sale. We had a disappointed party member!

The room was fantastic. Gorgeous view of Christchurch. Exceeded our expectations and I'm pretty sure it was a higher tier than we booked. Check in was easy and parking was validated making it just €25 for the 24 hours.

The room was VERY warm. However, we had been experiencing unprecedented temperatures. The hotel had provided complimentary water, cans of coke zero, KitKat's and a fan which was lovely. Also, whilst the view of Christchurch was lovely, we had the windows open due to the heat and it felt like the bells were ringing all night! I'm sure the room would have been more soundproof if the windows were closed!
