I like almost everything about the Boyne Valley Hotel, the room was excellent for a disabled person like myself, the bathroom and shower area are a market leader

As a 70-year-old disabled person who values my independence, I arrived driving my own car and try as could, I could not find a wheelchair entrance, and when it was pointed out to me it was a total disgrace, the ramp was too steep the rails were too far apart, the platform at the top of the ramp is too small and there is no rail to stop the wheelchair from falling down a 6 too 8 feet fall, the door open outward making the platform smaller.

An interesting hotel in lovely grounds. They closed some of the facilities during the Covid crisis and have not yet re-opened fully. The rooms are rather compact but well furnished and the en-suite well fitted. Breakfast is buffet style and now includes some cooked items. There is plenty of food available you do not have to go hungry. The breakfast staff are very helpful. The grounds are large and pleasant to walk round. There is a good bar with excellent staff, special mention to Paul. The reception staff are all very helpful and as we were leaving before breakfast we were offered a packed breakfast which was very welcome.

We like this hotel but want it to be better. The windows have restricted opening and do not provide adequate ventilation. This makes the rooms very hot and claustrophobic. Fans will be provided but they only move the hot air around the room. With rising temperatures this needs to be taken seriously and fixed. Some of the shower-heads are fixed and the spray overshoots the tray and makes the tiled floor very wet and slippery. The beds are rather hard and the duvets heavy which makes them unsuitable for the hot rooms.

Good clean property. Well wroth a walk around the Gardens on a nice day. rooms are clean and beds are very comfortable! Breakfast was very good. Full Irish tea/coffee, cereal, fruit. etc. warm clean rooms with tv’s showing all irish channels nice view over the grounds.

Definitely work has to be done on getting investment to bring back Dinner, room service and some form of entertainment! Hotel isn’t crazy busy so full Irish could be cooked to order keeping it at top quality! as your reviews in the past have targeted your breakfast this i feel would guarantee positive reviews quickly!

Lovely room, helpful friendly staff. Room serviced, ie cleaned and new towels every day. Good sized comfy room. Pleasant breakfast, variety of food. Quiet location, easy to find. Excellent eating nearby.

On three occasions the room door entry card failed and reception staff had to let us into our room. They did this immediately. Shower pressure a bit hit and miss. Would have liked an option to eat at hotel in the evening.

The breakfast selection and quality was brilliant. It would be worth knowing before dining that if you want specific hot items to ask staff as this wasn't highlighted, but it was a brilliant meal before heading out for our day.

The room was clean and always clean linen and towels but the rest of the hotel is in need of maintainance and repairs. Carpets held together with tape, Bannister's broken, windows broken and seals falling off throughout the building. Understandably through the pandemic there hasn't been enough revenue to put back into the place but the place is such a beautiful building and we would love to return and see the place thriving again.

calm and remote, with a really nice park, away from the city rooms at expected comfort standard nice and welcoming team, eager to help really good restaurant recommendations good breakfast easily accessible by train or bus from Dublin definitely the right place to start exploring the Boyle area

Maid took off the towels even if I did ask to keep it (definitely an issue with regards to environmental consideration / hotel initiatives that are great) hotel under refurbishment at this time: no on the site restaurant (was listed Michelin in the early 2000s)

Perfect location for Newgrange and Knowth. Quiet but close enough for local taxi to take you to pub, shopping, or food. Staff was excellent and really wanted to help with arrangements and local suggestions.

Probably can't do something about this, but we noticed that the same ladies that served us breakfast were still there at 6 pm in the evening cleaning rooms.. Long day for a short staff. Kudos on them for great breakfast and clean rooms.

Highly recommend this hotel, our stay was perfect from arrival to checking out. Staff Lorraine and Louisa were so helpful and couldn't do enough for us. Recommended places to eat and drink in the town and they didn't disappoint. Room was lovely nice and clean and the breakfast was really good with lots of choices available. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful so peaceful but still so close to Drogheda Town centre, couldn't fault our stay really enjoyed it and will definitely be back.

There was nothing we didn't like about our stay

Breakfast was adequate, I wouldn’t come here for the breakfast I would stay for the hotel room, location and how helpful & friendly the staff were I stayed for a wedding 15 minutes from here for one night so admittedly did not spend a lot of time here for the booking, the breakfast was self service and the breakfast staff were incredibly accommodating in allowing me put together breakfast to bring upstairs to my partner in bed, exactly what the doctor ordered after a night dancing on a wedding floor

Some breakfast items, standard earlier check in and if I’m looking for a criticism the rooms could do with updating, nothing wrong with them.. but partner commented the room is dated

The two staff on Reception when I arrived - early - immediately set about getting my room ready and not only that, converting a twin room into a double as I was travelling alone. The evening staff were very helpful, going the extra mile. All the staff were very approachable and interesting people.

I had to go to the Black Bull Inn for my evening meal. The quality of food there is good but it is, for a single traveller, an expensive option. Also, the Inn clearly prefers to serve couples and groups even if you give them a good tip.
