I had a lovely stay. Everything was clean. Great area for chilling/working. I like the music in the background. Location great. a few places to eat including western food nearby within walking distance pool light airy comfortable bed

Hot water would be great. was woken up at 7am with other guests and music. Perhaps keep the music low until after 9am?

My stay at Otu Hostel By Ostic was great! My room smelled like a coffee shop! Whatever that scent was - I loved it! The room had exactly what you need for a short stay; a large bed, a shower with hot water and a tv - it also had a pool and a large area with a lot of seating outside around the pool. My absolute favorite part of my stay here was the staff who was extremely friendly and so so helpful! Thanks everybody! Hi Nania :-) The next great thing about Otu Hostel By Ostic was the LOCATION! The area is beautiful, you're surrounded by the houses of locals and close by, on the main street there are a bunch of stores, restaurants, and a cute bar with live music in the corner! I recommend this place!

bathroom were a bit tiny to shower, you don’t have a lot of space in the dors to move your backpack

The staff were incredible! Literally could not have been kinder or more helpful during my stay, they gave me so much information and even helped me book taxis for the day. Location is also very good (in tourist village) so there are loads of very good restaurant options nearby. There are lots of socializing places/ places to make phone calls which is good. Free water and have snack options to buy. Kitchen also available to use and a pool!

Wifi can be a little spotty. Lockers are a little small so meant keeping my big backpack outside (though everything felt very secure)

We liked the descriptive handdrawn maps with useful sightseeing information as well as delicious food tips. The pool is very refreshing and very clean just like in the pictures. Also the staff was very friendly and helpful with coordinating our trips around and from Yogyakarta. .

The blankets of the double beds can be too small if you are traveling as a group of guys versus a couple. But the staff made up for it by providing extra blankets.

The employees were super nice and very helpful. It was clean and the common area was really nice decorated and clean.

I wouldn't recommend it for solo travellers so... there was only one dorm and the other people who staid there were family's with small children. It was really loud in the mornings (already at 5am). It was not really social and you don't meet new people that easily.... so it was not what I expected. But it's a nice place itself.

We loved the friendly, helpful staff. Their driver Sam was so pleasant and attentive. The communal area was comfortable and a great place to socialise with other guests. We wished we could have stayed longer!

The bathroom was a little leaky behind the toilet, and had a slight smell. I think the smell was more of the fragrance trying to mask toilet odours though. Just not to our taste. For the price you pay, this stay is excellent!

I really loved it. The staff is very very nice and the swimming pool was just amazing. They also have a little shared kitchen in case you want to cook. I really enjoyed my time there.

The only problem was that the room was very cold and I could not find the remote for the air con, however I asked for another blanket and it was fine.

Otu hostel has such friendly staffmembers and the location is great: in an alley near a bar street and 10 min by becak to Malioboro street (which is great for shopping but not for staying in my opinion). And the pool is lovely!

Everything was great. The rooms and bathrooms are basic but sufficient! Great price-quality!

It is located close to the "backpacker street", so you will find plenty of restaurants and bars. The rooms are comfy and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend to stay at Otu.
