HOTEL FORTUNAGRANDE MALIOBORO formerly Hotel Dafam Fortuna

Firstly, I recommend Hotel FORTUNAGRANDE. It is a comfortable and welcoming place. From the moment you checked in and then checked out, my family and I were treated with respect, and we felt like valued customers. The hotel has an amazing breakfast on offer every day, and the rooftop pool is a place where families and couples can feel relaxed and enjoy themselves. The rooms are small, only so comfortable and clean. the shower has hot water! And the air-conditioning works well. It is a short walk from the hotel to Mailboro mall and the amazing night-life. It's not a big hotel, only I think it competes well with the big chains out there. The big question is, would I stay there again with my family? Easy answer! YES! Grate location and breakfast! The room was decent sized, with street view, AC, TV, large vault,decent sized bathroom. I got daily water and juices, plus a welcome fruit plate. The location is 2mins away from the heart of Malioboro, in a secure area (as a solo traveler, at worst I just got annoyed by the taxi drivers trying to offer riders). Plenty of shops (minimarkets/food/clothing) and ATM in the very close proximity, plus there are 2 malls 5mins away. Take the breakfast option, it is amazing, and rich in local food cooked perfectly, your belly will be full for the entire day.

The rooms could be cleaned better and updated. The wifi could be better.

Everything about this hotel is excellent. From the staff to the location to the decorations of the building, it's just perfect. Plus, it's just a 5 minute walk to the Malioboro Mall and yet it's secluded enough to not be noisy. There are local restaurants outside which is very cheap. Also the breakfast buffet is amazing. The female staff helped took pictures of me in the lobby because I was traveling alone and didn't have help. I also borrowed umbrella from them during my Borobodur tour because it was hot. And the rooftop swimming pool is a must to try after your city exploration. I highly recommend this hotel.

No mini-fridge in my room and it was an open closet.

The location close to Jalan Malioboro makes it a perfect hub for all your city sightseeing. The pool, although shallow did allow for some refreshing laps in the warm weather. The variety of the breakfast options also made it a very pleasant stay.

Our room was right below the rooftop swimming pool, which caused a lot of noise during the night. The sound of the water splashing against the edges of the pool was quite loud.

Very helpful staff, especially Revita and her female colleague who helped us book taxis locally and for our trip to Borobudur. Clean comfortable rooms, nice rooftop area with good coffee ( unlike breakfast coffee), it would have been nice to order a beer at sundown though, but hotel is dry. Good choice if food at breakfast. Well located if you want to shop!

Guests very loud sitting in hallway chatting whilst kids played up and down the corridors at 6.30am outside your room..

Excellent Breakfast than I expected. Excellent staff kindness - I forgot my pass holder in the room and noticed at Airport then contacted to hotel. Hotel staff quickly checked the room and arrange to deliver to Airport by Goject deliery so quick. Then finally I received my pass holder at Airport in one hour after contacted to hotel. That is excellent handling and I really appreciated.

No frige in room.

Excellent breakfast Staff quickly replenished dishes and cleaned up, tables, food trays and cutlery. Better than some 5 star hotels. Attentive helpful staff from security, reception to room cleaning crew. Location smack near Malioboro, busy street outside but very quiet indoors. Reception kept my 1.4m long bicycle box for 10 days. Thank you so much. Nice rooftop pool.

Room has some wear and tear but not a big issue. Powerful shower Fridge would be nice

Great location, super friendly helpful staff. Room made up each day. Breakfast very nice. Pool was nice to cool off.

The bathroom was tiny, 1 person space only. No shower door so made a bit of a mess. The 'city view' is obstructed by the building's fake facade. Which is not beautiful at all haha. The pool is literally 1m deep at both ends. So you won't be diving in! These are just nit picky, overall very nice stay.

Location is great, a short walk from the action on Malioboro St and flanked by local shops and cafes. Good laundry service just opposite. Easy access for taxis and Grab. Breakfast was great. Also the rooftop pool, though it closes at 6, and is only 1 meter deep. We enjoyed having a hot shower!

The bar wasn't very inviting

I like the smell the moment we entered the hotel is so refreshing and calming. The interior of the lobby and the dining are beautiful with the beautiful plants around. The breakfast is super great, they have many options and they are all good. The location is strategic, only walk to Malioboro street

Our room is old and the paint is peeling off, the bathroom is not that clean No gym.
