Everything is perfect except for the 1.5km drive to a clean local beach near Central Kuta or Legian. On the other hand the location allowed you to step away from the tourist crowds and enjoy the true relaxed resort feel.

Misleading advertising always gets my nose out of joint (and expectations are subsequently high prior to arrival). Yes beachfront it is, but resort beachfront implies umbrellas, pop up bars etc etc. This is a dirty fisherman beach that rarely has more than 1-3 locals swimming in it. If the resort subsidised daily cleaning of the beach this resort would become an absolute 5 star stay.

The most friendly, caring, helpful and accommodating staff. Nicely maintained gardens and pool area plus the onsite restaurant Envy had great meals if you don't feel like wandering out. You can walk the boardwalk from the resort all the way to Seminyak, which would probably be quicker than in the traffic.

The resort rooms are starting to become a little tired, but does not detract from your stay, they are spotlessly clean.

An excellent location - away from the noisy long public beaches in Kuta with a small beach without waves - perfect for kids. And only 15 mins from the airport- kids could see the planes landing, but it was not noisy. Excellent weather in August, 24-27C. Very helpful and polite staff, delicious food, very clean room with an amazing ocean view. A long promenade for walking and jogging. I think it is the best hotel in Kuta looking at the others from the promenade.

I wish more fruit could be available during breakfast. There were papaya, watermelons, oranges, but I wanted to try mango and other exotic fruit.

The resevation staff Ms Ayu was excellent in meeting all our requirements and in ensuring our checking was smooth even though we arrived late at night. The staff are the restaurant Ms Yayuk Suseni was equally excellent in attending to our request and making special effort in making our morning breakfast good and enjoyable. She is always cheerful and willing to go the extra mile. The room service was prompt and good. Well done Holiday Inn Resort Baruna Bali.

The pin hole at the door was not clear when trying to see who is at the door. When it is raining, children should be prevented from using the out door pool, there could be a possiblity of lighting strike Need to look into these areas.

property is breath taking! Gardens and grounds are just stunning, pool is awesome and staff are lovely. they go above and beyond for you and are so kind.

We ordered room service twice and both times they forgot our food/condiments and took a very long time to come back therefore our food was then cold. The bathroom has privacy issues - you can see through the "frosted" glass and it made me very uncomfortable when using the bathroom. The aircon towards the end of our stay started to smell SO bad of something burning/smoking i almost asked to change rooms.

Large comfortable rooms (we had the King Suite with Garden/Pool access). Good quality bathroom amenities - with Dove shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash and body lotion provided. Great amenities for Kids - pool, pool table, kids club, playground, beach view Amazing staff! From front desk to pool, concierge, driver, gardeners, special shout out to the team at Palms and Envy restaurants particularly Yayuk and Arya that helped organised a surprise birthday party for my son. Good location - 15 minutes to the airport - handy if you want avoid traffic to catch flights. Great food at Envy and large portion sizes. I recommend getting the dinner package - but book your tables (and food) early if you have a big group, as food can take a while to prepare. We also got to try a selection of Balinese wines - worth checking if you enjoy your wines.

Food selection for breakfast is a bit limited compared to other resorts, and meat items can be a bit dry, but they have an egg station that can make dishes to order. Apart from that, we really enjoyed our stay at Holiday Inn!

I thought the resort was a lot more beautiful in real life than it looked in the pictures so would have stayed longer if I had known. Beautiful vibe! We only stayed one night, and I developed bali belly that night. They delivered extra bottled water to me at 1am and allowed us a late check out of 1pm as my husband and I didn't get much sleep that night. We spent the next day lounging on a day bed as our flight didn't leave until 9:00 pm that next night so appreciated them letting us lay by the pool and use the facilities still after checkout.

The room service menu didn't look very appetising. Maybe it was the pictures that went along with it but nothing on it seemed to look inviting (and this was before I felt sick). Could do with an improvement in presentation of the website in that regard and maybe an updated menu.

The room is bigger than my expectations (King Suite with Balcony and Garden Access). There is a living room separate from the bedroom. As there is a sofa bed in the living room, the 5 of us can sleep well without the need to get an extra bed. Please note that I am traveling with 3 small children. The public facilities are also great. The swimming pool might not be the largest but it is more than enough. We had a great time playing with the 2 floaties and shooting the ball to the ring. My kids loved the teens' section, especially the PlayStation and fuzzball table :) All staffs are friendly and helpful. The location is great as it only took less than 15 minutes to the airport. Really great if you catch a morning flight.

The breakfast food is just so-so. Nothing stood up but still okay. We stayed for 2 nights and our neighbors' alarm rang every day since 4 am - and it did not seem to wake them up, especially on our 2nd night. I called reception on the 2nd day and nothing they can do - I don't blame them at all. Maybe the hotel should provide reminders on setting off the alarm. The beach in front of the hotel was not the best at the time we visited. A lot of trash comes from the ocean which I understand always happens around December. But there are other beaches you can see if you prefer to stay in this area. No great restaurant nearby. So the option is to walk further, grab a taxi/car, or eat in the hotel.

They have the option to rent a shower in the spa after check out. Amazing little massage room with all the items needed. Wide variety of food in breakfast buffet.

Uncomfortable for couples, the pool bar is not enjoyable cause is the same pool used by kids. Water splits over your cocktail. The pool area for kids is empty, and the adult area full of kids all day. The entertainment area is only for guest with kids (🤷🏻‍♀️). Low quality of food in palm restaurant. Beach not enjoyable, full of boats and in weekends is full of local people, with street food, we had to go to semyniak and legian to enjoy the beach. No good options to have a walk in the marina and take a drink at afternoon, you have to take a take a taxi to find a proper beach club with pool. Non-efficient check in process. Check out time at 11! And check in 15:00! Why?

This was a great place for our family to stay overnight before we flew out on a very late flight - the free airport transfers were very handy and quite close. The pool and resort grounds are beautiful, with a nice kids pool and playground for our toddler. Tons of deckchairs, daybeds. The staff were very lovely, and accommodating for our toddler daughter (kids cutlery, a kids buffet at breakfast and lots of attention paid generally). We opted for half board (breakfast and dinner) and this was a great affordable option for us as we couldn't be bothered leaving the resort! Meal choice was the same at both restaurants on this package but it was fairly extensive so was enough for a couple of meals.

The room was smallish by Kuta resort standards, but did have a nice outdoor patio. Unfortunately our aircon was set to super cold and we couldn't work out how to fix it - however when we mentioned it the resort offered to fix it straight away (as we were leaving that day we didn't worry). If you are staying more than a couple of nights I wouldn't opt for half board as the menu is the same regardless of restaurant choice.
