The view, facilities like the pools, restaurant, vibe, staff and tasteful room.

The location is tricky to get to, not walking distance to anything. On the way back to the hotel many drivers got lost trying to find the location. Also, it is not allowed to use the local taxi app service from the hotel, only one local taxi service is provided which doesn’t leave guests with a lot of options, either for prices or cars, you take what you get.

Stunning view from the cliff, private beach is absolutely gorgeous, the infinity pool was my favorite part!!! The staffs are very friendly and helpful, and the room is very comfy

1.Unfortunately when we were there the spa is closed because of the construction and that is one thing we both looking forward to. 2. The “Local Taxi” situation are ridiculous they blocked the whole street and doesn’t let any online taxi like Grab (which is local taxi as well) come in to pickup the guest. They call themselves a “local taxi” and trying to charge you x3 of the original price. I’m supporting and love the local but this is a scam..hope the hotel do something about it. 3. Phone service are very bad

You cannot beat those views from the 2 infinity pools and the hot tub! the resort is built around those magnificent pools on a cliff overlooking the sea. You can literally spend your days there, everything is at reach. Breakfast and dinner was very good. The rooms were quite normal and confortable, but nothing spectacular. They were probably the rooms we liked the least from the other hotels we stayed in Bali. You come to this hotel for one thing: the 2 infinity pools with the sea view.

The food and cocktails served during the day at the pool were really bad quality, we were disappointed in such an exclusive resort to find this level of quality. We did not mind too much though because the place is spectacular. But if you are a pricy hotel you have to take care about all details ;)

- confusing entrance. no grand sign, it’s difficult to find the place on day, even more so on night - need more signs inside too. that night was dark and rainy, I was lost and entered one of the neighbor villas, the staff was very disrespectful when asked me to leave (there’s a party and I’m a hijabi). I know this disrespectful experience is not La Joya’s fault, but i think it can be prevented if La Joya put more sign on the property. La Joya’s staff are friendly.

The bungalow was incredibly beautiful and had a luxurious feel to it. I came with my friend but it would make a perfect stay for a couple. It provided a wonderful view of the ocean, from the pool and from the restaurant. staff was kind and the rooms had everything you could ask for (bottle water, shampoo and body wash, lotion, toothbrush etc). We would really have appreciated conditioner though! They had their own small beach you could walk to in just a minute. The way down was very scenic. you had to walk down a set of stairs through the forest which was an amazing spot for pictures.

The resort was very isolated, with only a few good restaurants in the vicinity. To get anywhere near centrum you had to get a motorbike however, the area was closed down by the local “taxi mafia” that demanded ridiculous prices only for a 5 minute ride. The staff however was willing to negotiate for us, which lowered the price significantly though it was still way too expensive in comparison to the average price. We’d recommend you walk a bit away from the hotel, to a place where Gojek/grab will be available.

Absolutely everything about this resort was amazing! Couldn't fault one thing .... the views the sunsets was just a dream! Our room was just gorgeous! Tranquil music playing in the morning and poolside music in the afternoon. Such a quiet relaxing resort. The price of the food was ever so reasonable and great taste and quality! Lunch cost for 4 people cost us $60AUD for 2 pizzas, large club sandwich and 2 serves of chips. Cocktails were divine 2 for $20. The service was impeccable .. the couple we were with had a plumbing problem in their bathroom at around 11pm. The manager turned up and stayed whilst the problem was sorted. Within 30mins the plumber had come and gone fixed the problem floor wiped and cleaned. Amazing service!

Just that you weren't walking distance to anywhere ... but hey you didn't need really need to leave this place! We were there 4 nights and could've stayed an extra couple of nights easily! And they didnt charge exorbitant amounts for meals and cocktails just because you were too far away from any restaurants.There were taxis always outside the resort waiting if you needed to go anywhere.

it was really far from the main areas of uluwatu. the mafia run the taxi’s so we were forced to use them every time we wanted to get into town which was $15 to $20 each way, which we felt was a lot when Grab was much less, and the journey was only 15-20 mins from areas of uluwatu. also, we got a massage and I am pregnant (first trimester) and requested the mom to be massage but that wasn’t communicated to the therapist and she started by pressing all my feet pressure points which is a big no no when pregnant so I was really disappointed this was not communicated as I mentioned it many times while booking and when I arrived for the massage.

This resort has stunning views of the sea and surrounding cliffs. There are two pools and ample and comfortable seating around them both. The rooms are very spacious and the beds comfortable. It is a quiet resort tucked away from the busyness of Bali.

Unfortunately we got a a lot of torrential rain (2 full days) when we were there. We initially had booked into the pool suite but being stuck in our room we could hear the music from the pool bar and the restaurant at the same time making it impossible to relax. Kindly they moved us to a quieter room..I would recommend a quieter room in any event. The rooms are a bit dated for the cost and again maybe it was the rain that left a musty smell from the straw roofs. The food was good in the restaurant (the pancakes are a must) but they charge for everything extra eg a little pot of mayonnaise for my chips or a side of bacon. There are no other restaurants in the area but Balangan beach is only a 20 minute walk.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights and we absolutely LOVED this hotel. It’s the perfect place for a relaxing getaway, with gorgeous clifftop views of the sea, two beautiful pools, plenty of daybeds, and the constant sound of the crashing waves below. The restaurant was amazing as well- beautifully decorated and delicious food. We also ordered the “floating breakfast” one morning and really enjoyed that. We also used the hotel’s laundry service, and our clothes came back to us quickly, having been washed, dried, iron, and folded. There’s a small private beach below that we visited a couple of times. The water here is pretty rough, so it’s really just to enjoy if you want to dip your toes in for a minute. It’s a gorgeous place for pictures and to enjoy some stunning views, though we definitely preferred laying in the day beds and enjoying the view of the beach from the cliff. Our stay here was simply perfect. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful, romantic escape.
