I grew up near this area and the zipcode is the poshest in Chennai - celebrities and business tycoons live here.... absolutely safe. Big time value for money since we looked for a good B&B; big hotels were in busy roads an all had a few negative reviews. Breakfast was the highlight of the day, especially if you like homestyle cooking. Staff is very, very attentive to all your needs. The owner, Mr. Palaniappan is a very pro-active person and wonderful. "A Home away from home for us"; we stayed five nights and then four more. Will definitely go back if the need arises again. They are also striving to improve.

First of all they had someone waiting to check us in after our very early hours flight which was amazing. Breakfast was good and changed each morning. It was mainly Indian food and then toast with jam and butter or cereal. Our room was really big, had all the toiletries. The fan was a little noisy. Aircon worked well. Shower was amazing - we've travelled a while and this was the best one we've come across in a long while. It's in a quiet area which is quite luxurious.

I do feel like the price was slightly too high. I was expecting it to be a bit more luxury in our room.

We were little disappointed when we were told that Madras Filter Coffee will not be available. It would be better if a full-sized mirror 6' tall is provided to enable ladies to see the image while wearing sarees. Filter Coffee should be made available from 6 am onwards till 2200 hrs. as room service.

It is in a beautiful quiet and wealthy area of Chennai, so a real treat for some quiet streets and nice residential buildings. The breakfast was nice and everything was clean.

It’s not super central for things to do but close enough. Also not a lot of restaurants around as it is residential. Staff wasn’t terribly hospitable. If you are even 5 minutes late to breakfast they’ll turn you away. They want to charge you for water when it doesn’t seem a hard and fast rule. Also their price for laundry is extortionate. The rooms are run down but comfortable. In ours the wallpaper glue was shoddily done and had stains which for what you’re paying I guess you’d expect to not see.

The proximity to key offices and landmarks is undoubtedly a major advantage for those on a tight schedule. They could do more on mosquito control

Property AVENUE 11, POES GARDEN is Located in the heart of Chennai city in a quiet place (POES GARDEN) & very near to USA consulate & theatres and malls. Also the property is very near to big hospitals like Apollo Hospital & MARINA BEACH & Mylapur Shiva Temple & TTD(Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam LORD VENKATESHWARA/Balaji Temple) & in TNAGAR & famous PONDY BAZAAR, TNAGAR). Egmore Railway Station& Chennai Central Railway Station & Airport is nearby with good transport connectivity from property(AVENUE 11, Raghav Veera avenue, POES GARDEN) The property is well maintained by good & Polite & courteous Staff which also provides Complementary breakfast) & has pantry services till 10 pm. All the rooms are Air Conditioned. YesLast But not the Least, if you r a Movie Buff(regular movie goer) then u may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of Famous Tamil Cine star “RajniKanth Sir” whose house is just 300 feet away from property and former CM JAI Lalitha house is also nearby

Should provide cafeteria services on special days like festivals

Very well located, staying in the same street as Rajinikanth was a high :-), good shower, good bed and pillows, good air conditioner, polite staff (manager has a evolved sense of humour) and decent food.

Wall papers in the room need some sprucing. Some of the fellow guests were a little loud. Can insist on some discipline around the kind of clothes people wear and how they conduct themselves in common areas. These will make the experience even more premium.

The location was fabulous...couldn't ask for a better one. Rooms were fine as we were out most of the day and came back very late for resting. Breakfast could be better as we felt it was pretty basic compared to restaurants and hence we only had breakfast here first morning and preferred to go out other days. Would go back there if an opportunity arises again just for the location...just 4 doors away from Rajini's house and what more can you ask for.

Breakfast quality needs improvement

Quiet location in a nice area of Chennai. We were delayed arriving by 2 days due to the storm but we're not charged for the room during this time. Amir was very helpful sorting things out. Restaurant staff also attentive. All staff friendly Breakfast included - mainly Indian food and eggs cooked to order. Rooms clean and good air conditioning. Also ate other meals at hotel. All food was good. Drinking water and tea and coffee in room. Stayed 4 nights as extended stay by 2 nights due to late arrival.

They were helpful and nice at late check in. Generally friendly and enthusiastic staff. The room is ample size and Uber was easy to lots of places. The breakfast was plentiful. All the drivers know the location and recognize hotel name. They seemed comfortable with western and solo travelers.

Shower was not great. First room that they tried to put me in stuck heavily of cigarette and first solution was air freshener that would have aggravated asthma. That said, they fixed it quickly.
