The Hive Party Hostel Budapest

The room was amazing ,staff was nice Bathrooms were clean I almost liked everything. Using cards for the wardrobes the lift and the main door was very good.

Just a piece of advice : I think it would be nice if you could put a curtain in each bed so that everybody can have more privacy.

I stayed here apart from my group of friend, so I was kinda anxious. However, in the room that I have booked for 10-bed room for ladies, I was really comfortable, everyone was whispering and lockers were great to feel safe. Used kitchen to have hot water then went to roof to have my breakfast on the swing. Definitely would stay again.

The location is excellent and the building is beautiful. The kitchen is fully equipped and I've never seen so many fridges in a hostel which was great. Also the shower is 100/10, it has the best pressure I've had in any hostel ever. Lots of events and the facilities are clean which is a good surprise for a party hostel. Staff was kind enough to print out bus tickets and boarding pass for me.

They should add a mat for the bathroom and some shelves perhaps in there as well. It's not a big negative but it's useful to know that from the last floor to the luggage room there are only stairs. So it's a bit of a struggle if you have a big luggage to carry up there.

the facilities, location and the comfort

as this is a party hostel you can’t really expect to sleep until 5 in the morning as the music of the bar downstairs goes trough the room but if that’s your goal, this is the right hostel.

Great location - very close to all major stuff, restaurants etc and just around the corner from Szimpla Kert. Staff were nice, dorms were okay, and shower worked fine for me. Rooftop bar was great in the evening for a cheap drinks - and the club downstairs was good too.

Beds in the dorms aren’t very private - you’re visible from almost everywhere in the room. This is a party hostel - if you don’t want to be somewhere where people are stumbling into the room at the early hours then don’t come here, but it’s Budapest - just join them! Was also harder to make friends here as a solo traveller - most people staying appeared to be in groups, but that’s no fault of the hostel.

Very clean and good hostel, the beds are comfortable. There’s a disco downstairs that is going on until morning, we went to dance and had a lot of fun there!

The hairdryer is on payment!!!!!! You can rent it for 4-5€ at the reception! I really didn’t like it because it’s a necessity that has to be provided for free, especially for girls with long hair that are travelling in winter! Manager of the hostel, please do consider to change it so your guests can be much more satisfied! :)

I immediately understood why it is one of the best hostels in Budapest. The location is fire : central, near several restaurants and bars. The staff was very nice and friendly as well as the other customers. The rooftop bar was definitely a gem in this hostel. The bed was spacious and comfortable and I loved the locker system. They also have a good shared kitchen. I did not have the time to try their activities but from what I have heard it's dope (boat parties, pub crawl, etc)~

Just wanna point out that the bathroom were like swimming pools because the water evacuation was not working well.

One of the best party 🥳 hostels. Very nice and friendly staff. The sound of music has drastically been controlled by the newly constructed ceiling over the clu. Last time when I stayed there it was difficult to sleep but now it's OK. The rooms are spacious and the bunk beds are very comfortable. The chip based card lockers gives you peace of mind if you want to party hard and leave your valuables inside without worrying of losing them. The cleanliness has also been drastically improved and toilets and showers were very clean. The location is perfect just 500 -700 meters from Tram Station Astotia and Deak Ferenc Ter. There are several restaurants and clubs in the near vicinity of the hostel. There is also a big kitchen with all utensils and a microwave. Highly recommended.

Please change the dish cleaning sponge 🧽 in the kitchen.

The vibe was great...

Had requested the staff to preferably give me a lower bunk during check in... I was told that there are people expected on the lower bed.... I was there for three days... And three lower beds were empty in my room while I was given an upper one... There was no other place to sit in the room so it was really inconvenient going up and down all through for every little thing... I didn't understand why the reluctance to give the lower bunk if no one was really coming ... Otherwise the hostel was great, except the staff at the reception

cant relly recomend this place to solo travelers, its relly big but thers no common area to get to know new people
