Roombach Hotel Budapest Center

This hotel is centrally located within walking distance to the center and Christmas Market. The staff was very nice, but I have to give a special thanks to Frank who was the star of the reception staff. Frank was very helpful in giving suggestions, answering questions, and just giving good advice in general. He is a wonderful representative for the hotel. The breakfast was not only fantastic in taste and abundance, but was so beautifully and artistically presented. It is among the best hotel breakfasts I've had. Parking is available in the secure courtyard behind the hotel. Would be happy to stay here again.

Bright and cheerful, very close to public transport and bars in Jewish Quarter. Staff very helpful when I had queries.

Air conditioning not very effective, breakfast options limited for gluten free diners.

Location excellent, right in the centre, near to sights and tourist attractions, near to Sightseeing bus stop. Many restaurants and bars around, rich night life - quite noisy at night in rooms situated to the street. Rooms quite small but very clean and newly accomodated, comfortable beds, good Wifi and A/C. Private parking for 19 EUR/night behind hotel. Breakfast tasty, varied and rich. Very pleasant and helpful staff.

The location, right in the heart of the Jewish quarter of Budapest, minutes walking from the Danube and all the landmarks. The hotel is brand new, and has the huge advantage of a private parking place, although not covered, on the premises. The rooms were new, modern and clean, the bathroom was also very new and clean. Adjustable air conditioning, safety deposit box, TV set with several channels, including BBC World. Very friendly and helpful staff (receptionists also double as bartenders). Perfect noise isolation (the neighborhood is very lively, many bars and restaurants in the area). Breakfast is optional (we opted out, since the hotel is located in the middle of a wide selection of restaurants, cafes, and shops.

The room size. Quite small. The absence of a wardrobe cabinet. There's a rack with several hangers, but otherwise it's quite difficult to unpack. No bathroom floor mat. The price for the private parking is quite high, 25 euros per 24 hours. Still, the private parking is a game changer.

Room Basic but to the point and well equipped the chocolates were a nice touch. The staff were very welcoming and extremely accommodating and eager to help as needed. Breakfast was really lovely with good choice of food. We stayed for two nights on the 6th floor, with a view of the Rumbach Synagogue. We didn’t hear any noise from the street while sleeping. The bathroom and shower were large enough for 2 people. The AC was nice, especially in the summer. Staff was really friendly and helpful, and they let us store our luggage the last day we were there.

The shower door did not close completely though, so water pooled on the floor tiles. The wallpaper with slogans in English seemed like an attempt at being clever, but they made the walls seem busier than necessary. It would also have been good to have more storage space in the room.

We've only stayed for one night but I was pleasantly surprised by the location as well as parking. Location is perfect for exploring Budapest centre, many nice places and great restaurants are just a few steps away. I definitely didn't expect the parking and how spacious it was, we very appreciated the opportunity to leave our car a bit longer and explore the city on the day of check out. Reusable glass waterbottle was a nice touch, the temperature in the room upon arrival was perfect, which was greatly appreciated in the July heat. Breakfast was very diverse and replenished frequently. I didn't love the coffee but hotel is not a café so we used it as an opportunity to go to one of the cafés nearby :)

The room could use a bit more hoovering and a good carpet clean but other then that, there's nothing I could criticize.

Our room was ready by the time we arrived (around 11:30am) which was a bonus. There is also a luggage room to leave your bags which we used when checking out and came back before our flight to get them. Breakfast has a good selection (porridge, granola, jams, beans, eggs, chorizo sausage, yoghurt, meats, bread, pastries, veggies, fruit) Only a 5 minute walk to Deak Ferenc Ter which is the main transport hub of the city. Plenty of shops and restaurants in the area. The bed was bigger than a double which was also a bonus. Comfy mattress and pillows. Room had a mini fridge, safe and hair dryer aswell which is super useful.

Excellent location, within walking distance of everything in the city. Room was very clean and housekeeping were excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful and arranged us with tickets to the baths. Breakfast was excellent and the price and value for money was superb. WiFi connection was great. Airport transfer arranged by the hotel was on time and efficient.

Room was small with not many places to put things, although this is expected in the price. Breakfast area was small and ended up being in the way with other guests moving past tables and around the food.

The location of the hotel is superb, just a couple of minutes walk from the main transportation hub (airport bus, subway, tram...), in the famous Jewish district rich with its dining (and drinking) spots. Having windows facing the backyard, we barely heard the street though. We didn't hear the elevator either, although the room was located next to it. The breakfast was pretty great, we somehow always managed to get a seat, even within the "crowded" hours, the variety and quality of the food was also impressive as well as the speed with which the hotel stuff did "refills". The hotel stuff was quite friendly, and the overall atmosphere in the hotel was relaxing. We didn't experience any problems with the room service either throughout all our visit which lasted about a week. This hotel is definitely a great pick to spend vacation in Budapest, and not too expensive too.

Despite an overall great impression of our stay, there were still some things which could use improvement. First of all, the drainage in the shower seemed to be clogged so that we each time ended up with a a little bit flooded bathroom and had to use extra towels to rescue the situation. The second thing also concerns the bathroom and has been mentioned in some other reviews too, the bathroom door is a glass screen merely intended for aesthetic purposes rather than for isolation - quite a design flaw but not necessarily a deal-breaker. Lastly, the linens felt a bit too synthetic to the body, and the sheet would always slide from part of the bed - a fitted sheet would do a better job.
